Trump Is Using Obama’s
Money Model To Win

If you’re a Democrat, is there anything more horrifying than hearing Barack Obama’s campaign manager for his 2012 successful reelection warn that “the nominee (of the Democratic Party for 2020) will be broke, as Romney was against us”? That is exactly what Jim Messina told the Washington Post this week – even as the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump raged. Speaking of how much money Trump has been raising and utilizing, Messina added, “I have never seen spending like it. And it’s a lot on rallies, which are expensive and speak to the base.”

FTA: ''There may be a flip side to this, however. National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Emmer recently sounded a warning to Republicans, because his committee’s Democrat counterpart, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, had raised $40 million more than the NRCC’s $85 million in 2019.'' IF, the stupid NRCC and RNC would quit backing the back-stabbing RINO's and get behind some new conservative challengers instead, maybe their fund raising would increase. I quit donating to these Deep Staters years ago.

Like everything competitive, the last victory is always used as the model. No news there. Add to that the power of incumbency. As for the National Republican Congressional Committee, they've ben found wanting in support of PDT. Two years of Paul Ryan's "leadership" towards a largely forfeited '18 House election cycle, two years of minority backbenching to Pelosi...not much reason to invest in those seats. The Senate is another matter as it controls appointments to the judiciary and other positions. That the Republicans will fight to maintain. There they share common ground with PDT, who appoints those suggested for rapid Senate confirmation. (Thank you, Harry Reid!)

Nice little ending zinger, "they (NRCC) really shouldn’t need him (Trump) – if they believe in the same things themselves". Not finished is the thought that maybe the NRCC's fundraising problems are tied to the reality that they DON"T really believe in the same thing and the voters KNOW it. The question for every GOP congressional candidate is, "Will you enthusiastically support President Trump's agenda?". The answer should be "YES. DEFINITELY!!!". Besides being broke, the dems are going into the general election as a fractured party. There is a good chance they will not have a clear primary winner until their convention starting July 13th. If that is so, no matter who wins there is going to be great dissatisfaction with the outcome. They will have less than 4 months to heal that and run a campaign against a highly successful, strongly funded, meticulously organized, zealously supported, highly energetic, and ready to go on the attack President Trump. Not one of the dem candidates in the race have a whisper of a change against that.

The problem with the Repubs not being able to raise much money is that many of us despise the Republicans, or at least half of them, as spineless, weak-kneed, damn-near-Democrats. I'll send a lot of money to Trump, but will NOT send money to NRCC, because I don't trust the central leadership. I will send money to my local Republicans who I know are reliable, but I won't give money to McConnell to dole out as he see's fit. The Republicans better get TIGHT with Trump if they want to succeed. To the extent they hold Trump at arm's length and with lukewarm support, they will FAIL.

Impeachment has backfired far beyond the worst nightmares Democrats could have imagined. In its aftermath, President Donald Trump’s approval rating is actually now at its highest ever. For them, it is the fourth quarter and the clock is getting close to zero, with Election Day nine months off. Joe Biden is fading, the party asking to take over health care can’t count votes in a modest-sized state, and its leader in Congress is so unglued she rips up Trump’s State of the Union speech. But is there a Hail Mary pass some prominent figure on the left could attempt, to

An unwelcome ghost haunts the U.S. Senate this week as it takes up the dubious charges against President Donald Trump: the disembodied spirit of a slain president who six decades ago spoke from a desk near the back of the Senate chamber. Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kennedy in 1957 won the Pulitzer Prize for biography for his portrait of eight of his predecessors in the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body, “Profiles In Courage” (even though speechwriter Ted Sorenson ghostwrote almost all of it), and the notoriety helped propel him to the highest office in the land several years later. The fifth

The left had another apoplectic fit when President Donald Trump started talking about dishwashers at his Milwaukee rally this week. How dare he focus on something so trivial when House Democrats are busy trying to remove him from office. But Trump is on to something, and the fact that the liberal elites can’t understand what it is says more about them than it does about Trump. “Anybody have a new dishwasher?” Trump asked the audience on Tuesday. “I’m sorry for that, it’s worthless. They give you so little water. … So what happens? You end up using it 10 times

In war, you know you’re winning when your enemy is retreating. In politics, you know you’re winning when your enemy’s talking points are limp, convoluted, and nitpicking. Leading Democrats, and even Republicans who thought President Trump was too swashbuckling in his slaying of Iran’s Quds Force commander Maj. Gen. Qassam Soleimani a week and a half ago, are grasping as straws in their complaints now that it’s clear the killing of the terrorist mastermind has tamed rather than unleashed Tehran’s Islamofascist regime. The Trump Administration officials who briefed the Gang of Eight in Congress on Soleimani’s planned attacks of Americans

Joe Biden says he is 100% in favor of banning plastic bags in the U.S. At this point, it might be better to ask Biden and the rest of the Democrats running for president what they would allow Americans to have. It would likely be a short list. Biden’s position on the issue was revealed last week at an Iowa campaign stop when a woman asked him about his “focus.” “In Kenya, we are trying to clean the environment, no plastic bags, you go with your own bags,” she said. In the immediate aftermath of Iranian missile attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq – apparently designed to save face rather than kill Americans – is it an overstatement to apply Orwell’s ultra-totalitarian slogans to the left in the free country of the United States of America today? “War is peace,” The Party in “1984” assured its servile proles, “freedom is slavery,” and “ignorance is strength.” After all, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi assured us that the people’s elected representatives could cast their votes for Obamacare while being entirely ignorant of the contents of the law. And the “Medicare for All” being pushed hard

Last week, 18 people crossed the border illegally into Arizona hoping they could exploit a loophole in U.S. asylum policy to stay in the country. Instead, they found themselves shipped back to Mexico while their asylum claims are reviewed. In the midst of impeachment mania and the killing of an Iranian general, this event captured little attention. But it’s part of a broader campaign that the Trump administration has quietly embarked upon to crack down on illegal border crossings. And – even without the wall – these policies are having a huge impact. The 18 migrants were sent back to Mexico thanks

The 2020 Democratic presidential field is in near unanimous agreement that fracking has to be banned or at least regulated to death over time. It plays well to the party’s base, especially its green fringe. It’s also an endorsement of recession. Joe Biden, currently atop the Democratic primary polls, recently said he would “love to” ban fracking “right now,” and would also “love to make sure we can’t use any oil or gas, period,” reports Common Dreams, a website that caters to leftist and socialist devotees. But the decelerated Delawarean’s plan is to “transition away from” fracking rather than killing it all at once. So put him in the “slow death”

In the Middle East, however, the answers regarding the nerve of the world’s lone superpower, and consequently the balance of power between Islamic forces, appear to be just around the corner. Why would House Democrats put forward articles of impeachment that are laughably weak and have no chance of removing President Donald Trump from office? Most of the speculation has been that the impeachment will nevertheless hurt Trump’s reelection chances. There’s another possibility that’s even more insidious. Democratic Party leaders can’t possibly be unaware of the fact that their impeachment case has no merit. Despite the endless talk of bribery, extortion, campaign finance violations and other supposed crimes Trump has committed, not one of the articles of impeachment accuses Trump of breaking any of those laws, or any federal law for that matter.

If you thought life couldn't possibly get more difficult for Joe Biden, after he had to settle for a horrific fourth place in Iowa, I've got quite a surprise for you: yes it could. Well, Biden asks the lady who dared asked him this "good question" (his words), "have you ever been to a caucus?" When she answers in the affirmative, he lashes out at her.

The 30-year-old was asked by one of her followers to discuss the benefits of a shorter work week when she misspoke and referred to 'Milton Keynes'. Ocasio-Cortez later said she had confused a British economist, John Maynard Keynes, with Milton Friedman, who won the 1976 Nobel Prize. Joe Biden brought his “No Malarkey” tour to a New Hampshire debate stage on Friday night. But in promising to tell the truth, he accidentally exposed his own doleful (or I should say, Bob Dole-ful) prospects in Tuesday’s opening-gun primary. In his first words of the debate—the moment when candidates are usually the most scripted—Biden confessed, “I took a hit in Iowa and I’ll probably take a hit here.” It was a novel campaign strategy; few candidates ever say, “Vote for me because I’m going to lose here.” If his comments were a brief misstep in an otherwise smooth debate, it would have been one thing.

From the start, it was clear that the chief casualty of that amateur theatrics was going to be Joe Biden and his sniff, sniff, sniffing son Hunter.
