The White House on Monday released a trial memorandum outlining President Trump’s defense strategy a day before his impeachment trial resumes in the Senate.
Trump’s legal team argues that the president should be swiftly acquitted because the Democratic-led House overstepped its authority and committed a “brazenly political act … that must be rejected.
“The Articles of Impeachment now before the Senate are an affront to the Constitution and to our democratic institutions. The Articles themselves — and the rigged process that brought them here — are a brazenly political act by House Democrats that must be rejected,” a statement accompanying the document reads.

McConnell has the numbers in the Senate for acquittal on the impeachment scam provided they are all on the same page. He should force a vote right up front for acquittal without any witness testimony. Get all the Republicans on record, and that way they cannot hide. Impeachment has been solely motivated by politics, and witness testimony is meaningless. Impeachment should never have progressed this far.

It's very doubtful that 67 votes can be had to convict, but that leaves a lot of wiggle room between 51 and 67 to out right dismiss. When the Romneys, Murkowskis or Collins do not vote to dismiss, the media will be saying "See! See! There was bi partisan support to convict !!!" all the way through November.

The Senate should declare that the impeachment document submitted by the house does not meet the Constitutional criteria for an impeachment and declare it null and void. If this is done then there would not be any reason to go on. Case closed!
If the impeachment crap that the House performed is null and void then it would not be correct to say that he was impeached and would not go in the history books that he was.
Bill Clinton was impeached because he committed real crimes i.e. lying to a Grand Jury. Therefore he was officially impeached but not removed from office. This is on his record and should be in the history books.

In doing so the extremist Rino's in the Senate, like Romney, Collins and Murkowski will expose themselves to the wrath of the voters the next time they're up for reelection. The Republican party must purge itself of these type of reprobates!

No matter which way a tree falls when it's cut down, it is still dead the minute it hits the ground. The lumberjacks in the Senate have the chain saws running at full throttle. Mitch will yell out "TIMBER" as the wood starts to crack and split when the vote to dismiss begins. It should be over quickly. But my gut feeling is that I don't trust lumberjack Mitch and his saw-men Romney Murkowski Collins and Snowe, who are just waiting to bust out their double-edged axes and start swinging.

First thing is to ask for the legal charges, since there are none it has to be dismissed. No vote needed.

Who cares if the RINOs defect? A win is a win. And there will be he3 to pay from and defectors. Also, there may be some Democrat defectors—Manchin or Jones, maybe.

Mitch McConnell needs to rebuke the House with a terse and quick dismissal of this bull crap impeachment. No statutory laws or delineated constitutional powers were violated. This is a SHAM of SHAMs. Pelosi needs to be sent to a nursing home for the criminally insane, alcoholic and senile psychopaths. They can park her in a corner, give her a fifth of Johnny Walker every day and a plastic gavel, with the TV tuned to FoxNews, so she can see her filthy speaker-ship exposed and run into infamy . And the House needs to censure and force Nadler and Schiff for Brains to resign, then the DOJ needs to investigate and prosecute the lot of them for attempting a coup by abusing the constitution and their powers as enumerated in our sacred document. (I am sure the founding fathers are spinning in their graves.)
This is a high crime against the American people. I am sure this HIT job of an impeachment was premeditated and a conspiracy of the Democrats! And the Bidens are criminals as well. Joe ca$hed in on his power, helping funneling millions to his dumb kid. This was from Ukraine AND China. They were a regular corruption crime wave. Of course, since Bite me has a D- in his title, the media IGNORED this corruption. What a terrible joke our nation is becoming. What makes us different from a Banana Republic? Please explain. I am sure I will hear crickets.

Lets see if all this is right. The dim claim is that trump did not release monies as approved in the xxx act, because of some allegations of personal benefit.
But, the president did release the monies, after assurances as required by another act.
Says the pitchfork mob, DJT asked for a concession. That of course is not supported by testimony.
Says the pitchfork mob...the xxx act required certain timing. But, that is a conflict with other laws.
Nevermind that, says the pitchforks. The xxx supercedes prior acts. But. The xxx act prescribes the cure to be taken...if the act has any constitutional validity, the House Dims failed in their USC authority to seek that cure first. Fault.goes to Dopims.
Game Set Match DJT. Fail awards to 3 senators for not recusing themselves.
Is it true that the ASP (alcoholic, senike, psychopath) spent spent my taxes this year to buy golden commemorative pens?
