Mexico blocks 2,500 migrants from
crossing at Guatemala entry point,

Mexican officials on Saturday closed a section of their border with Guatemala following a push by thousands of migrants to make their way across a bridge over the Suchiate River between the two countries. About 2,500 migrants of all ages were held up and prevented from crossing or entering the bridge at Mexico's southern border by Mexican National Guardsmen, Guatemalan authorities estimated, according to The Associated Press. Mexican authorities reportedly allowed several dozen migrants to enter into Mexico in groups of 20 but warned them against trying to slip away to avoid immigration processing.

Comments:

Sounds like Mexico "building a wall", and paying for it. Not exactly, but effectively. Good job, Mexico. Please keep all of them out.

When I think about the savings in both time and money that could have been saved by "convincing" Mexico to do this years ago, it's simply baffling . The border down there is , what, 500 miles wide?

SpaceX has intentionally destroyed one of its rockets in an unmanned emergency escape test to prove it can keep the capsule’s astronauts safe in a crisis – its last major barrier before launching manned flights into space. The Falcon rocket blasted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Sunday with a pair of mannequins inside the attached Dragon capsule for the so-called in-flight abort demonstration.

Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., said Thursday evening she does not owe a CNN congressional reporter an apology for rebuffing his question and calling him a "liberal hack" -- after one of the network's veteran anchors said it would be appropriate to do so. McSally was walking toward a room in the Dirksen Senate Office Building when she encountered reporter Manu Raju. Raju asked McSally if she and other senators should "consider new evidence" in President Trump's impeachment trial. The senator responded by saying she would not entertain the question, calling Raju a "liberal hack."

A California couple was arrested last week, for allegedly luring in thieves with an unguarded bicycle and then beating them with baseball bats when they tried to steal it. Corey Cornutt, 25 and Savannah Grillot, 29, claimed they were robbed the first night they spent in their Visalia home after a burglar broke into their car. A few nights later, another burglar allegedly broke into their car again. They both became hyper-vigilant and decided to take a proactive stance in defending their home, using the bike as bait. After beating on the perpetrators who came to steal it, Cornutt and Grillot would later post the videos to Youtube.

San Francisco is getting to be a hellhole and not just because crooks are having a field day, or a vast homeless army has prompted new tech 'innovations' in poop-map apps. It's actually becoming a city with a hollowed out look, redolent of some place like Steubenville, Ohio or maybe Utica, New York, during the bad years, empty storefronts and missing young people. So much for the trope that leftwing cities, with their walkable boulevards full of food trucks, handmade crafts, knitting shops, bookstores, artisan cheese shops, gourmet restaurants, and cafes are more lively and liveable than rightwing places.
The Left's Endless Commercial Has

American consumers understand that most forms of popular culture have become nothing more than commercials for the Democrat party. Movies, television, and music focus less on entertainment than on influencing the next election. They have gone beyond mere leftist bias. Artists, writers, and musicians subordinate their craft in order to present one endless Democrat commercial. This trend is equally egregious in the case of books. In modern bookstores, the Democrat commercial spreads far beyond the "politics" shelf. "The gardening books advocate hiring illegal aliens. The sports books reminisce about Vietnam."

According to most journalists, Hollywood, and other Democrats, the only thing a terrorist-sponsoring country like Iran must do to keep terrorists from being targeted is to give them a big title and put them on their payroll. Somehow, that makes the world safer than killing them. Then these terrorists can roam the world working with other terrorist groups to plan and execute attacks. If a leader of any country decides that these terrorists should be killed, they will be said to have escalated tensions. If that sounds ignorant, it is. The world is clearly safer if known terrorist leaders are killed and funds are cut off.
In Australia, fires expose green folly 6 replies

Australia is has seem some of the worst bushfires in its history. Greens blame climate change, but it's a cover-up. In reality, they have themselves to blame. From here in Australia, it can only be called green folly. Green folly locked up 11% of Australia in a tinderbox of bushfire fuel, much of which is now burnt or burning. Green folly closed forest tracks and gates; expelled foresters and timber-workers; and prevented property-owners from removing flammable fuel from their own land and adjacent roads, parks, and forests. Those responsible for these follies should face Class Action.

Leftists around the world are at it again, blaming "anthropogenic" (i.e., man-caused) climate change for the Australian fires. While it's true that the fires are "man-caused," they're not anthropogenic in the way the Left thinks they are. At the Golden Globes, the glitterati focused on the fires raging in Australia. Russell Crowe, the famous climatologist...er, the actor who left school at 16, confirmed that the fire was all about climate change, so reparative action is urgently needed: "Make no mistake, the tragedy unfolding in Australia is climate change-based," said Crowe in the statement, which was read by Aniston. The purveyors of solar energy are working overtime to spin the now official failure of the Crescent Dunes thermal solar plant in central Nevada. The contracts to purchase the electricity from the constantly broken plant will be voided. Bloomberg Businessweek claims that Crescent Dunes was obsoleted by technological advances in the form of photovoltaic based solar plants. That is nonsense and misses the whole point of the Crescent Dunes project. It also misses the reality that all utility-scale solar is a failure — not marginal, not growing into being practical, but a total and complete failure. The scalable forms of renewable energy are wind and solar.

Prince Harry has spoken of his 'great sadness that it has come to this' as he breaks his silence this evening over Megxit and laments it was not possible to find the new life he wanted. In an emotional speech, the 35-year-old said that the UK is a place that he loves and that will 'never change' but that he had 'no other option' than to quit senior royal duties. But the Meghan and Harry rupture is fundamentally different from any previous crisis to befall the British monarchy. Tens of thousands of people converged in the streets of Richmond, Virginia, on Monday to protest their right to bear arms in the face of swingeing state gun control laws set to be enacted later this year. They started arriving before dawn – army veterans, stay-at-home-moms, attorneys, welders, democrats, republicans – united under banners defending the second amendment and, they believe, a constitution under attack. And many of them came with their guns: AR-15s, long-guns and handguns. Governor Ralph Northam had issued a ban on a list of weapons including guns on Capitol Grounds
