Hillary Clinton says Chelsea saved
marriage to Bill after Lewinsky affair

Hillary Clinton opened up about her marital struggles with Bill Clinton in an upcoming documentary about the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. “I didn’t want anything to do with him,” Clinton said, appearing to tear up, in a trailer of the four-part series which premieres in March on Hulu. The Clintons’ marriage faced a difficult period when Bill had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky during his presidency. He initially denied the affair under oath, which led to his impeachment in December 1998. Months earlier, Chelsea Clinton, who was 18 years old around the time the Lewinsky scandal played out, put herself between her parents

The contemptible woman never gives up. She's scheming for a brokered Dem convention and another shot at the nomination. And, there are plenty of Dems who still support her, which given her sorry record of placing self-enrichment ahead of taking care of the country's needs, is despicable.

Oh, please. She never wanted anything to do with him other than to hang on to his coat tails. And after impeachment, when she gave him a black eye, the two of them stuck Chelsea between them as a photo prop and a buffer. Chelsea didn’t put herself between them - they forced her into that position for their own political gain. That young woman has never been anything but a political prop and now her own children are being used that way too. BTW, it’s too early on a Sunday morning to bother with reading this article, so I’m just commenting on the opening few lines. Reading the rest of the article isn’t worth my time.

According to Bill Clinton - never a hopeless romantic - he proposed to Hillary by saying “Marry me. But you shouldn’t. I’m a pathological mess and sex addict. I’ll screw anything: the help, your best friend, her mother, underaged girls, whoever.” And she said, “Oh, darling! Yes!”. Bill can stuff it along with his family jewels. As if any of us could believe that a man like him ever wanted a wife to love or vice versa. Also, in her never ending quest for the presidency Hillary has finally referred to herself as gutsy. Again, as if nobody could have seen that coming with her latest book.

Pantsuit on fire! She was only mad at Bill because of how it might affect her ambition to be President. She was never going to officially leave him for this. She knew all about his philandering and tolerated it. She (shrewdly) decided to play the victimized wife instead and it worked when she was elected to the Senate. Hillary should have been a novelist because she has shown a real talent for fiction when it comes to her own life.

After what Bill has been quoted as saying about her own proclivities, I do not believe a single word she has to say on the subject of cheating spouses. I believe they both knew the score when they took the vows, and that was how they lived their lives. Separately. They only stay married because of the legal provision that says spouses cannot be forced to testify against each other. She spent as much time on the Lolita Express as Bill did for her own reasons. She is never going to admit she is lesbian/bi but she is. Bill says she has had more women than he has.

Second post apologies,l but...#42, I have read that the primary reason married men go to prostitutes is that their wives won't perform fellatio on them. Dollar Bill Clinton refused Monica's request to have vaginal intercourse with her, because he didn't know her well enough. But he eagerly sought fellatio from Monica. Those are established facts, coming from the Starr report.

In a newly released impeachment brief, Democratic House managers argue that President Trump must be removed "immediately" to protect the integrity of the current presidential race. "The Senate must use that remedy now to safeguard the 2020 U.S. election," the managers write. "The Senate should immediately remove President Trump from office to prevent further abuses," they continue. "He is an immediate threat to the nation and the rule of law. It is imperative that the Senate convict and remove him from office now." Democrats insist on Trump's immediate removal because, they argue, he was the knowing beneficiary of Russian help in the 2016 election,

What divides Iowa Democrats most starkly is not income, education, gender, or even ideology. Rather, age is the factor that most strongly correlates with whether an Iowa Democrat supports Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders. In the latest Monmouth poll of likely Iowa caucus-goers, which shows Biden showing a six-point lead over Sanders (24 percent to 18 percent), the frontrunner is in fourth place among voters aged 18 to 49, but he’s in first place because he has an astounding 31-point lead among voters 65 years of age and older. Sanders, by contrast, is powered by younger voters. His support among Iowa Democrats over 65

There’s a joke from way back in the 1980s about how the major media would report the announcement that the world is going to end tomorrow. The Wall Street Journal’s headline would say, “World Ending Tomorrow; Markets to Close Early.” USA Today’s headline would say, “World Ending Tomorrow, but We’ll Grin and Bear It.” And the New York Times headline would say: “World Ending Tomorrow: Women and Minorities Hardest Hit.”(Snip for graphic)Meanwhile, the Times has announced its endorsement for president. In one of his last speeches before abdicating in 2013, Pope Benedict XVI decried the liberalism that had seeped into the Church after Vatican II. To this liberalism, he traced “so many problems, so much misery, in reality: seminaries closed, convents closed, the liturgy was trivialized.” But he then proceeded to hand the Church to the very liberals responsible for these problems and to a successor set upon liberalizing the Church even more. Not long after assuming power, Jorge Bergoglio took a veiled swipe at his predecessor. He told an interviewer that Vatican II had encouraged openness to “modern culture” but that “very little was done in that direction,”

It’s the biggest abdication since King Edward VIII — and once again, it’s all for the love of an American divorcee. Prince Harry and his Los Angeles-born actress wife, Meghan Markle, on Saturday night were granted their wish to “step back” from royal duties. They’ll be stepping back alright — way back, and with a deft shove from Her Majesty. In a cordially worded heave-ho, the Queen announced that while Harry and Meghan “will always be much loved members of my family,” this will not be the gentle, gradual disentangling from Buckingham Palace that the pair hoped for when they dropped their bombshell on Instagram earlier this month. No, this is a hard Megxit.

The third presidential impeachment in US history has now reached the Senate. Like the first two, this one is almost certainly going to lead to presidential acquittal. An old saying given definitive expression by Ralph Waldo Emerson (and recently adapted by The Wire) warns that you should ‘never strike a king unless you are sure that you shall kill him’. Congress may not be risking royal reprisal here, but it is teaching all Americans — including all future presidents — a fateful lesson in institutional impotence. After this, who is ever again going to take the threat of impeachment seriously? Congress has called its own bluff.

Australia’s unprecedented wildfires season has so far charred 40,000 square miles (104,000 square kilometers) of brushland, rainforests, and national parks — killing by one estimate more than a billion wild animals. Scientists fear some of the island continent’s unique and colorful species may not recover. For others, they are trying to throw lifelines. Where flames have subsided, biologists are starting to look for survivors, hoping they may find enough left of some rare and endangered species to rebuild populations. It’s a grim task for a nation that prides itself on its diverse wildlife, including creatures found nowhere else on the planet such as koalas, kangaroos and wallabies.

Brooks warned that Rep. Adam Schiff will “just walk all over” the prominent legal experts announced who will be part of laying out Trump’s defense in the Senate impeachment trial. The newest additions according to reports on Friday include Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz and former independent counsel in the Whitewater investigation, Ken Starr.

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) warned on Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week” that if Republican senators do not allow witnesses in the impeachment of President Donald Trump, they will be held accountable by voters. Schiff said, “We will be fighting for a fair trial.”He continued, “If the Senate decides if the Senator McConnell prevails and there are no witnesses, it will be the first impeachment trial that goes to conclusion without witnesses. The atmosphere in the Senate when I came with the other House managers, and we read the articles was one befitting something that has only happened three times in the nation’s history.

Prince Harry has spoken of his 'great sadness that it has come to this' as he breaks his silence this evening over Megxit and laments it was not possible to find the new life he wanted. The Duke of Sussex was at a formal private dinner at the Ivy, in Chelsea, for vulnerable children's charity Sentebale, which founded in 2006, when he made the comments. In an emotional speech, the 35-year-old said that the UK is a place that he loves and that will 'never change' but that he had 'no other option' than to quit senior royal duties. Harry also paid a stirring tribute to his grandmother, calling her his 'commander-in- chief'

Over the last one hundred years, the British Royal Family has generously provided the world with a parade of scandals more colorful and louder than the socks they wear with their kilts. But the Meghan and Harry rupture is fundamentally different from any previous crisis to befall the British monarchy. (Snip) The roadside bomb in the royal family named Meghan Markle exploded not because of immoral conduct in the conventional sense. Markle is the first duchess who hails from the American left-wing, post-Christian, anti-moral belief system that worships the journey of self-directed personal actualization.
Spare me your 'patriotic' crocodile tears, Harry - you
DIDN'T have to quit. You chose to ditch the Queen, the
monarchy, your military comrades and your country… to
become a royal Kardashian and keep Meghan happy

Prince Harry is very sad. In fact, he wants us to know he feels a 'great sadness'. The cause of his 'great sadness' is that he and his wife Meghan are quitting the Royal Family to go and live in North America and be full-time celebrities. In a speech at a fancy London restaurant last night, Harry explained they had 'no option' but to quit.(Snip)So, on behalf of the disgusting British media, I humbly and sincerely apologise for holding these two rich, privileged public figures to any kind of accountability.

Sherrilyn Ifill was returning to Baltimore from New York on Amtrak train 80 Friday, as she does at the end of many working weeks, when she says a junior conductor approached and asked her to give up her seat. To say that the internationally known civil rights attorney, scholar and activist bristled would be an understatement. “When I was laying her out to the [lead] conductor, at one point, I said, ‘I can sit where I want,’ and I thought, ‘This isn’t 1950,’ ” the Baltimore resident, who is African American, wrote in her Twitter feed Friday night. What unfolded

Tens of thousands of people converged in the streets of Richmond, Virginia, on Monday to protest their right to bear arms in the face of swingeing state gun control laws set to be enacted later this year. They started arriving before dawn – army veterans, stay-at-home-moms, attorneys, welders, democrats, republicans – united under banners defending the second amendment and, they believe, a constitution under attack. And many of them came with their guns: AR-15s, long-guns and handguns. Governor Ralph Northam had issued a ban on a list of weapons including guns on Capitol Grounds

I love just about all Clint Eastwood movies, but Richard Jewell is in a class by itself. This one was personal. This one Clint Eastwood made for me. Only a handful of people in America know what it’s like to be Richard Jewell and unfortunately, I’m one of them. Mr. Eastwood got it right. Two thumbs up! I rarely ever go to the movies. Nearly seven years after my acquittal in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, I still have to be very cautious about where I go. A few years ago, a man took a shot at me and missed my head by inches. He will be in prison

It's a stereotype, but it's true — Canada's winters are cold. And many of us stay toasty by burning fossil fuels such as natural gas in our furnaces or the boilers that feed our radiators. In an effort to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions and meet targets to reduce global warming, the U.K. has proposed banning fossil fuel-based heating in new homes by 2025. Cities in the states of California, Washington and Massachusetts are also trying to phase out natural gas. If your home is hooked up to a district heating system, where a utility supplies heat directly, you may

Adam Schiff said Sunday that he believes the intelligence community is giving into pressure from the White House in not releasing documents to Congress that would be relevant to the impeachment trial. The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee told ABC's This Week in an interview Sunday morning that the National Security Agency is withholding 'potentially relevant documents' regarding Ukraine.(Snip)'They appear to be succumbing to pressure from the administration,' he continued, blaming Donald Trump. 'The NSA in particular is withholding what are potentially relevant documents to our oversight responsibilities on Ukraine, but also withholding documents potentially relevant that the senators might want to see during the trial.'

Democrat Governor Blackface Northam is putting the squeeze on Virginia gun owners before Monday’s Second Amendment protest. The map of the protest grounds was released and shows only one entrance for the thousands of Virginia protesters expected at the rally. The group will be fenced in. And the governor is ordering the 2A protesters to leave their guns at home — in an Open Carry State! On Friday State Senator Amanda Chase issued a warning to those attending the Monday rally. “We are being set up!” Senator Chase wrote this on her Facebook page. I want you to be aware of how we are being set up. Does the Patriot Act ring a bell?
