Could it be this bad? Lee Smith argues that the Iran nuclear deal was actually part of a deal to make Iran the new regional power in the Middle East. "creating a social consensus robust enough and government mechanisms transparent enough to ignore minor outside noise" How is this even remotely possible when the dems are absolutely committed to false narratives in a desperate attempt to win elections? Anyone that hasn't learned to ignore dems has no idea what the truth is. Ask Schiffty about transparent meetings while he is sheltered in secure, secret basement rooms, making up fake impeachment accusations. Try to build a social consensus around race when EVERYTHING is absurdly called out by the dems as racist.

BOSTON — Alex Cora has already been identified as a ringleader in an illegal system of sign stealing when he was with the Houston Astros. The Red Sox didn't wait to see what punishment Major League Baseball might give him for possibly bringing a similar scheme with him to Boston. Cora was fired by the team he led to the 2018 World Series title on Tuesday night, one day after baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred said he was "an active participant" in the Astros' cheating when he was a bench coach in Houston. Ads by ZEDO Manfred mentioned Cora by name 11 times in a nine-page report, saying he "originated and executed" the scheme

New Zealand schools to teach students
about climate crisis, activism and 'eco anxiety'

Every school in New Zealand will this year have access to materials about the climate crisis written by the country’s leading science agencies – including tools for students to plan their own activism, and to process their feelings of “eco-anxiety” over global heating. The curriculum will put New Zealand at the forefront of climate change education worldwide; governments in neighbouring Australia and the United Kingdom have both faced criticism for lack of cohesive teaching on the climate crisis. The New Zealand scheme, which will be offered to all schools that teach 11 to 15 year-old students, will not be compulsory, the government said.

Iran's people barely can scrape together enough calories to keep body and soul together in the big cities, while entire parts of rural Iran are emptying out as rivers and wells go dry. Things are so bad that the number of babies born in Iran has fallen by nearly 25% in the past five years. Only Venezuela is worse off -- but the wicked Maduro government remains in power. Regimes that are willing to shoot their people dead in the streets (as Iran shot 1,500 protesters last November) can cling to power even under desperate material circumstances. As I wrote at Asia Times yesterday: "One average salary pays

It seems as though every day brings us something new out of Virginia relating to their now Democrat-led legislators and gun laws. What’s the latest? State Delegate Dan Helmer filed a bill this past Wednesday that would allow the Attorney General, Mark Herring, the ability to determine which states’ concealed carry permits Virginia would continue to recognize, and potentially making it almost impossible for people to protect themselves if they do not live in Virginia. Not that they plan to let Virginians protect themselves either. It appears that this would include members of the military that are stationed at one of the many Virginia bases.

A bug in the code of a Facebook update rolled out last week accidentally made it possible to see which accounts were responsible for posts to Facebook Pages, including those of celebrities and politicians, for a period of several hours. "All it took to exploit the bug was opening a target page and checking the edit history of a post. Facebook mistakenly displayed the account or accounts that made edits to each post, rather than just the edits themselves," explained Wired. Facebook was quick to post a fix, thanks to a security reacher who alerted them to the big. "We quickly fixed an issue where someone could see who edited

World War 3 with Iran in retaliation for the killing of terror mastermind Qasem Soleimani failed to materialize. Instead Iran fired about a dozen missiles at airfields hosting US fores in Sunni and Kurdish areas of Iraq and despite deadly intent failed to cause casualties. Content with that bootless result the ayatollahs offered to end the cycle of retaliation, at least for now, citing their generous and forgiving nature. The abrupt de-escalation of military conflict caused by the actual impracticability of open war left inflamed political passions with nowhere to go. So they burst their channels in various ways. The reaction to Soleimani's death has proved more

Imagine the following scenario: You are asleep late at night in your bedroom when you are awakened by the sound of breaking glass. Soon you hear footsteps down the hall and come to the chilling realization that intruders have entered your home. You hide in a closet and dial 911 on your phone, then in a whisper plead for the police to come to your aid before the burglars happen upon you. Officers are on the way, you are assured, and moments later you listen as the intruders, alarmed by the approaching siren, flee to a waiting car. You go outside to see them bearing

California certainly marches to the beat of a different drummer. They treat the federal government as a rival fiefdom, setting their own environmental laws, their own immigration laws, their own fuel standards -- as if the seat of power in the United States was in Sacramento. On Friday, Governor Gavin Newsom will present the state's budget for the next fiscal year. In it, he will propose that the state of California sell its own brand of prescription drugs in order to "increase competition in the generic drug marketplace and lower the cost of medications by having Sacramento contract drugmakers to manufacture certain prescriptions under a state label."

One day after news broke that CNN settled a defamation lawsuit on behalf of Covington Catholic teen Nick Sandmann, Robert Barnes announced he had sued author, producer, and show host Reza Aslan for Aslan's tweet describing Sandmann's face as "punchable." The lawsuit, which Barnes provided to PJ Media, would slap Aslan with a minimum of $135,000 in damages. When video of Sandmann supposedly smirking at a Native American man outside the March for Life went viral last year, Aslan infamously tweeted, "Honest question. Have you ever seen a more punchable face than this kid's?" [Tweet] Nearly exactly one year after posting the tweet, Aslan had finally deleted it on Wednesday.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers noticed the woman seemed nervous after they pulled her over on Interstate 75 Tuesday for having an illegal window tint. So nervous, in fact, that troopers summoned a drug-detecting dog, which alerted troopers that drugs were inside the car. The result was the arrest of a Ruskin woman on a cocaine trafficking charge and the seizure of 12 kilos of the drug -- which troopers said is worth about $1.2 million. The traffic stop was made Tuesday afternoon in Sumter County. Troopers on routine patrol saw a red 2016 Dodge Journey heading south on the Interstate and pulled the driver over because of the illegal tint.

Iran could threaten Trump hotels *worldwide* and he could provoke war over the loss of revenue from skittish guests. His business interests should not be driving military decisions.” She also tweeted a video in which the late comedian George Carlin asserts that the U.S. is “not very good at anything” besides war. The White House budget office violated the law when it froze U.S. military aid to Ukraine, the Government Accountability Office concluded in a new report. “Faithful execution of the law does not permit the president to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law,” the GAO wrote in an eight-page report. Several witnesses who testified before House impeachment investigators said President Donald Trump ordered the hold on the critical military assistance.

Fearing a repeat of the deadly violence that engulfed Charlottesville more than two years ago, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam plans to declare a temporary emergency Wednesday banning all weapons, including guns, from Capitol Square ahead of a massive rally planned next week over gun rights. That's according to two state officials who were briefed on the plans but not authorized to speak publicly about them. The governor, a Democrat, plans to announce the plans at a news conference Wednesday afternoon because of credible threats of potential violence and extremism, one official said.

The climate crisis is the biggest threat to global stability, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has warned. WEF on Wednesday published its annual global risk report, highlighting what its members see as the biggest threats to economic and political stability. For the first time in the report’s history, the top five longterm risks were all linked to the environment. “The planet is heating, the ice is melting, and we see that the library of species are on fire,” Borge Brende, president of WEF, said at a press conference in London to launch the report. “It’s really, really serious.” The biggest

WASHINGTON — Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Wednesday that two House chairmen who led President Donald Trump's impeachment inquiry will be among the House prosecutors for Trump's Senate trial. They are Democrats Rep. Adam Schiff, chair of the Intelligence Committee, and Rep. Jerry Nadler, chair of the Judiciary Committee. Trump was impeached by the Democratic-led House last month on charges of abuse of power over his pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden as Trump withheld aid from the country. He was also charged with obstructing Congress’ ensuing probe.

You’ve probably never heard of the most economically transformative legislation of the Trump era. Granted, it has not yet passed and it might not pass. If it does, it would affect a large portion of Americans, but hardly all of them, unlike the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. And its potential effects are hotly contested by policy advocates, politicians, and economists. Still, California Senate Bill 50, winding its way through the state legislature again this month, could generate tens of thousands of new jobs and billions of dollars of new investment, reshaping the geography of the biggest state and solving a large chunk of the cost-of-living crisis

Megan Rapinoe's roaring again. The International Olympic Committee published new rules that prohibit "political, religious or racial propaganda" "at medal ceremonies and Olympic venues," and Rapinoe says she "will not be silenced." She later added that she will kneel anyway, which would force the IOC to enforce its rules or back down. Not one for fine distinctions, Megan understands the world only in relation to herself and, as usual, completely misses the point. The IOC said nothing about silence. They said she couldn't use the Olympic stage to push politics. You can noisily talk about anything else — your girlfriend, the state of soccer,
