In choosing between the two Democratic Party candidates atop the polls, African American voters have a consequential decision to make: Will our community side with former Vice President Joe Biden, who has repeatedly betrayed black voters to side with Republican lawmakers and undermine our progress? Or will we stand with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and a movement that has been fighting for racial and economic justice since the civil rights era? This critical choice is illustrated by the key differences between Biden and Sanders – which began at the beginning of their respective careers.

No Democrat is on your side, Nina. They only use you. The real champions of civil rights were the Republicans and still are. Trump has done more for people of color than any of the last several Democratic presidents, including Obama who actually made things worse. Wake up and see the real world.

Delusional Nina. Neither of those old white guys give a flying F about 'your people'. Trump , on the other hand wants to give 'your people' every opportunity to succeed, if they want to work for it.

Chicken! vote Republican. Get back to your roots. Bernie, just like the dems, only wants your servitude, as in your vote. Once he gets that, he has no more use for you. Just like obama! Anyways, hasn't Bernie always voted with the dems? I'm curious.

What does ‘standing up for African Americans’ actually mean? Other than words, put Trump’s record up next to any Democrats’ and compare.

Your progress...absentee fathers..really just sperm donors but black women still pop them out with regularity, lack of basic education..reading, writing, arithmetic. Majoring in African American studies is not a career maker, prison is more popular than ever, if you removed "man", "know what I'm saying", "you know" from black vocabulary, many would be mute. So Nina, educate me about progress soon the Democrat place.

Dang, the fumes of stupid are eating the screen of my monitor. So this writer thinks a commie like Bernie from a majority white residents state is helping blacks? When has he done that? Trump OTOH has given the black community the highest employment numbers in the nation's history. When did Bernie and by extension Obama do that Nina? Please explain how chastising voters for having too many choices available is fighting for blacks. Explain how ignoring the violence of Chicago is fighting for blacks. We know what you want, you want that fabled free pass from all criminal behavior. That is not going to help your community. For like the LBJ welfare legislation, Bernie's ideas about government will only finish the job of destruction that LBJ started. Social Justice to these people is defined as destruction of whites. They don't get that whites are who pay for everything Bernie wants to give them for free.

Donald Trump has always stood up for African Americans. You can see that in his record of hiring and promoting AA's in his many companies. He has wanted to see AA's succeed and grow, and has given so many of them the opportunities to do just that!!! Demon-Rats have done everything they can to keep AA's on the welfare plantation!!!! Poor, ignorant, and unmotivated to change that. That isn't helping AA's. That is just buying their votes for "free stuff"!!!!!

CNN and the Des Moines Register are co-hosting the seventh Democratic debate tonight. But one front-runner won’t be attending this or any debate. His name is Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg has met the four-poll threshold to attend the January debate, but he is forced to sit out because he has vowed not to take campaign contributions. The Democratic National Committee requires a whopping 225,000 unique donors to qualify to get on stage. This rule, however, contravenes the party's values regarding money in politics. There was a time, not too long ago, when the most popular candidates, as evident in polls, made it on stage, but those days are long gone.

It became pretty clear last month that this is where the investigation was heading, now it has been confirmed. In a press conference today, Attorney General Barr stated, “This was an act of terrorism.” Barr added, “The evidence shows that the shooter was motivated by jihadist ideology. During the course of the investigation, we learned that the shooter posted a message on Sep. 11th of this year stating ‘The countdown has begun.'” Barr went on to say that the shooter had posted anti-American and anti-Israeli messages online including just two hours before the attack. One of the things that was of great concern initially

The curious campaign of Michael Bloomberg raises a question: Can a billionaire buy the Democratic nomination? In his late bid for the nomination that skips the first four contests, which historically launch the nominee, Bloomberg has placed a big bet that big bucks can overcome all. Bloomberg has a history of short-circuiting the traditional political process and winning. The hallmarks of his victorious mayoral races in New York City were an overwhelming financial advantage, a blizzard of ads that saturated the airwaves, piecing together a disparate coalition, and little personal contact with voters.

Clemson linebacker James Skalski was ejected from the national championship game against LSU on Monday night after officials determined he led with his helmet when making a tackle. The play occurred in the third quarter with about six minutes left to play. Joe Burrow threw the ball to wide receiver Justin Jefferson who was immediately met by two tacklers. Skalski appeared to have made the tackle but led with his helmet and hit Jefferson in his helmet. Officials reviewed the play and ejected Skalski for targeting.

Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg claims he is ready to spend more than $1 billion in an effort to oust President Trump, but money may not be bringing supporters to his campaign. Just 45 people showed up to Bloomberg's latest rally with TV star Judge Judy Sheindlin in Texas on Saturday, according to the New York Post. “Unlike everyone else in this race, I think what’s important is beating Donald Trump,” Bloomberg told the sparse crowd of fewer than 50 people in San Antonio. Bloomberg, 77, has eschewed tradition by entering the race late, forgoing attempts to make the debate stage, spending big out of his personal account,

Vatican City — Retired Pope Benedict XVI has coauthored a new book defending the Catholic Church's practice of a celibate priesthood, in a shocking move that comes as Pope Francis is considering the possibility of allowing older, married men to be ordained as priests in the Amazon region. According to excerpts from the volume released Jan. 12 by the conservative French outlet Le Figaro, the ex-pontiff says he could not remain silent on the issue as Francis is contemplating the move, which was requested by the bishops from the nine-nation Amazon region at October's Vatican synod gathering. The book is co-written with Cardinal Robert Sarah,

After Iran’s turn from ally to enemy in 1978, the U.S. pursued a de facto Iran policy of containment, similar to the U.S. approach to the Soviet Union during Cold War. Starting with the Obama administration, however, U.S. policy has seesawed between appeasement and confrontation, leading to a dangerously volatile situation. Though it was never formalized, the strategy that came together under the administration of George W. Bush (I served at the Pentagon and in the Senate during this time) had three pillars. First, impose prohibitive penalties on Iran’s nuclear advance. Second, bolster America’s allies on Iran’s periphery—and particularly America’s precious alliance with Iraq—to prevent any Iranian threat to their security

Dozens of hard-line militia members gathered outside the British Embassy in Iran on Sunday, chanting “Death to England,” and calling for the ambassador to be expelled and the embassy closed. The protests in Tehran followed British Ambassador Rob Macaire’s arrest for attending a Saturday night vigil for the victims of the Ukrainian passenger plane that Iran admitted it accidentally shot down earlier this week. All 176 people on board were killed. Macaire, who has been Britain’s envoy to Iran since March 2018, left the vigil after it became a demonstration -- but Iranian authorities later arrested him on allegations that he helped to incite the anti-government protest.

Hollywood celebrity is tough to shuck, at least for Meghan Markle, last seen in a starring role as Duchess of Sussex. Harry can come along for the ride if he wants, but he's probably going to get chewed up and spat out in the long run. She'll dump him when he gets inconvenient. In fact, Meghan has gone already — appearing to leave Harry to pick up the pieces at home. And it’s a shame, because the UK really did seem ready to embrace its new American princess when the pair tied the knot in a fairytale wedding at Windsor in 2018. Furthermore, the British people really do support the monarchy and do tend to cut them a lot of slack. So what could possibly have gone wrong? –All those flights–
