As anti-government protests swept Iran in the aftermath of the downing of a Ukrainian plane, students from Tehran avoided walking on massive American and Israel flags placed on the road in front of them. (Tweet) Videos circulated on social media showed Iranian students parting as they approached the large flags, taking pains to avoid stepping on them. A few people who did walk over the flags were booed by protesters in the area with chants of "Shame on you." Some reports said that the protesters near the flags chanted "Our enemy is in Iran, not America." (Tweet) Hillel Neuer, the executive director of NGO UN Watch, tweeted in response

Comments:

Make no mistake. Killing Soleimani was not only good for our Military in the Middle East (and allies), but for the civilian population fearful of his secret police connections. Thank you, President Trump.

The Democrat candidates for President would be displeased if the mullahs lost power in Iran. They love the mullahs and their suppression of their citizens. That is their dream to suppress the American citizens. They are lock step with the mullahs.

Iranian revolution has already happened. The mullahs are history. Someone should tell them. Maybe Ceausescu?

Maria Bartiroma had on Steve Bannon this morning. He was quite energized and had a lot to say. This type of activity is going on in other places besides Iran. However is not being reported by our fake news cartel. Check out what's happening in Hong Kong and the rebellion towards the Chicoms. What's going on in Iran has been a long time coming. I suspect the people there to revolt any minute. I pray for the Iranians and the Taiwanese to free themselves from the tyrannical regimes they have had in their homeland.

#1, also, their bribes might fall off if the mullahs weren't in power. That would especially displease them.

After Obozo failed to do anything the last time the people of Iran protested the Mullahs, the Iranian people feel they have someone in the White House who has their backs.

Most of the Democrats who are so grieved over the loss of their favorite terrorists have never set foot in Iran (for fear of being kidnapped and/or killed). Kudos to the students who understand what is really going on.

Huawei's severance from Google has forced it to strike up a partnership with satellite navigation company TomTom, Reuters reports. Better known for making in-car navigation systems, TomTom will be building a maps app for Huawei phones since Huawei lost access to pre-installing Google Maps. The Trump administration placed Huawei on a trade blacklist called an "entity list" in May 2019, designating it a national security risk. The US claims Huawei acts as a conduit for Chinese government espionage, an allegation the company denies. The blacklisting means American companies have to seek government permission before dealing with Huawei.

Separated by just 60 miles along the I-10, Los Angeles and San Bernardino feel worlds apart. The former boasts some of the richest urban developments and residential pockets in the nation. The latter — a “broken city,” as this newspaper put it in 2015 — struggled through five years of bankruptcy and municipal dysfunction. San Bernardino’s early success rested on a pair of seemingly incongruous forces: Mormonism and slavery. Nearly a dozen U.S. troops were injured after two Iranian missile strikes on a pair of American-held bases in Iraq last week, the Pentagon reported in a reversal of what military officials and President Donald Trump initially said. The Defense Department said Thursday 11 U.S. service members were treated for concussion symptoms after Iran launched ballistic missiles at bases in al-Asad and Erbil, Iraq on Jan. 8. The strikes were retaliation for a U.S airstrike days earlier that killed a high-ranking Iranian military official. The project, as described in the MIT Technology Review, will study digital screen time by taking screenshots of participants' devices at five-second intervals. "Mapping the human screenome can be a critical and cross-cutting part of solutions and theories about social challenges involving media – from fake news to smartphone addiction to social media and mental health," the authors wrote about the project, which they compare to mapping the human genome.

The intelligence agency discovered 'an extraordinarily serious security vulnerability' that could spoof the digital signature of software that could trick a PC into letting malware in that is posing as a legitimate application. The bug was uncovered in NSA's own research and by disclosing this information to the tech giant, the agency believes it is putting 'computer security ahead' of its own agenda.
