Fox News anchor Leland Vittert on Thursday seemed to repeatedly suggest to Defense Secretary Mark Esper that the U.S. should consider military action against Iran, comparing the Middle East regime to schoolyard bullies who only understand a “punch in the nose.”(Snip)During an appearance on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom, Esper reiterated President Donald Trump’s message that the United States will issue a “severe response” if Iran continues with its “bad behavior” in the region, adding that it was “time that Iran started acting like a normal country.”
“It’s a long list of bad behavior, and I’m glad you brought that up,” Vittert, (Snip) replied. “It’s like a sandbox in grade school.

I’ll bet little Leland had a lot of experience with bullies in the sandbox in grade school.

Sitting in his "Safe Space" crying out for war. How many of your children are you volunteering to die for the cause. Leland?

Leland, Trump is responding to Iran and it's provocations by having Solemeini killed while in IRAQ. What was Solemeini doing in Iraq? He was overseeing Iran's strategy of provoking the US in response to Trump's economic strangling of Iran. Now that the USA is a net exporter of energy, control of the Straits of Hormuz isn't as important to us any more. Remember the Iranians and their seizure of oil tankers, Leland? Wasn't that supposed to provoke us? Or their downing of a survelillancce drone? Now they are funding and coordinating attacks upon our Embassy in Iraq. Our embassies are US soverign territiory anywhere they happen to be-and we responded in kind, by eliminating an individual. Iran can't survive a war with the US but Trump is letting them die on the vine, choking them off slowly. Now if only our so-called European allies would do the same, the Iranian regime would collapse a lot sooner, Maybe that;s what Trump intends, to provide an example of backbone to the cowardly Europeans.

Smacking down the Iranian's terrorist operatives, funders and planners, at whatever level of responsibility isn't going to get us into a war if we don't want to, and we have no territorial interests in Iran.
Suppose the Iranians attack our ships in the region. Then we sink a couple of their ships, as we did back in Operation Praying Mantis in '88.
Back in 1988, after the Iranians nearly sank our frigate, USS Samuel B. Roberts, with a floating mine that they had laid in the Gulf, we spent an afternoon sinking one Iranian destroyer and leaving the other a burned out hulk, sank a gunboat and a handful of speedboats, destroyed a couple of oil/intel platforms, shot down a fighter or two and did some more general mayhem. We put half of the Iranian Navy out of commission in one day with about 2% of our Navy, never broke a sweat. Another auspicious 18th of April, a date on which we have had many interesting historic events.
If they stupid enough want to play this game again, we can oblige them. They really are slow learners. And they imagine that when they get nuclear weapons things will change. They will not.
Suppose they actually use a nuclear weapon on us or one of our ships or bases? Unless they are trying for a 'suicide by cop' on a grand scale, they will not ever use them, at least not in any overt way. Covert, terrorist attack with a nuke? Possible, but there are ways to trace the fissile material trace elements after the fact that would very likely make it possible for us to know which capital city to incinerate in response.

We don't need to fight another war in the Middle East. Mr. Trump deals with Iran as he needs to. Iran would prefer a war so it could garner support for standing up to the "bully" USA. I don't want to give them what they crave. Just deal with them as it comes. That alone with shut them down, I think.

Have seen this arrogant arse be extremely rude and overbearing to conservatives he’s interviewing simply because they’re not providing the narrative that’s in his little liberal mind. It’s been so bad recently that it leaves his female Fox News colleagues in a brief state of shock that they have to follow such a ridiculous clown show. Am surprised he hasn’t been fired, which probably means he’s doing as instructed.

Didn't L.V. start out at Fox covering the Middle East? Perhaps he should have a more measured view of international relations in that case, although he is, what, 12? This Woodward & Bernstein syndrome has been tiresome for ages. No Leland, you are not a pit bull of an investigative journalist. And remember, W & B got their information from a rogue FBI agent! What goes around comes around.

He is really getting on my nerves. He’s contentious and he repeatedly interrupts people. He has been argumentative and he either hasn’t listened to what people are saying or he is perhaps just not capable of following the argument other people are trying to make. Overall, listening to him is just unpleasant. I’m turning this off until he is gone.

I used to watch Sunday news but when this egomaniac appeared and acted so impertinent with everyone he interviewed, I turned it off and never returned. I don’t watch much of Fox anymore but I do like the morning Fox and Friends. But today I thought Brian Kilmeade would like to give Geraldo a bop on the head with his leftist remarks. Fox keeps these losers on.

My first memory of Leland: On the street covering a black on black shooting, he collared a young black girl who said she’d seen the shooting. He had her give her story, chapter and verse. Whatta scoop!!!!
Later turned out that she’d seen nothing. Zip. Nada….
He has a supersized view of his miniature stupid self… and arrogant? You betcha. Another Insufferable.

I watch the Greg Gutfeld show weekly on You Tube or off my recorded version on my TIVO. Other than that, I refuse to watch ANY nightly or weekly news broadcast! I can't live my life thinking that the world is Black and White with no shades of gray! It's actually multi-colored and beautiful as created by God! These pin-heads would have you believe they are the purveyors of everything knowable and of worth. They are absolutely a rotten influence on America! Every single one of them!

My final bit of tolerance for this twit was when he adversely criticized Boeing's CST-100 Starliner as a complete failure while co-hosting w/ Kristin Fisher. He was overbearing and rude to her knowing full well that both her parents are astronauts. I now turn off FOX whenever he's on.

Leland Vetter is an idiot who attempts to fraudulently project himself as being a genius in all things. He needs to be retired.

Here is a great Vittert smackdown by Frank Miele. Remember him? Editor of the Kalispell, MT, paper, he was “retired” and now writes his own blog post. Until I found this, I had no idea where he was. We really liked his weekly opinion pieces here at Lucianne:

Leland Vittert repeatedly challenging the Secretary of Defense. Good grief! If he’s the best Fox can come up with to stand in for Bill Hemmer, Fox is in worse trouble than we thought. Watched a bit of the news re Solemeini this morning. Vittert ranted on, repeatedly adding “etcetera, etcetera” to his ranting… He is as dumb as a post.
