California School Children Won't Be
Suspended for Disobeying Teachers

A new California law that takes effect in 2020 will make it illegal to suspend a student in grades 1-5 for disobeying teachers or administrators. Starting next year, the rule will be applied to students in grades 6-8 and will include charter schools. There's a very good reason for this change, according to supporters. It's because of racism, you see. More little black kids are punished for disobeying teachers than little white kids. Naturally, there's only one possible explanation, to the exclusion of all others. Whitey has it in for black children. KCRA: Yes, a study by San Diego State and UCLA called “ Get Out! Black Male Suspensions in California Public Schools,”

When I was in middle school, the principal had a paddle the size of a tennis racket with holes drilled in it, and he wasn't afraid to use it. IIRC, it did an admirable job of "restoring justice" and giving kids a "minute to reset and be mindful of their actions!!" Of course, this was in the 70's, when classroom discipline actually meant something!

Well... I have sort of noticed that black teens seem to be extremely disproportionately involved in mob attacks and mass shoplifting. Statistically, all things being equal, one would expect about 13-15% of these events to be people of less reflectance. But it sure seems as if those whose skin soaks up the light make up around 80% of these things, if not more. Of course, you should take that with a grain of salt because my skin reflects more light than theirs.

First thru fifth grade kind of made sense, but older students? Hopefully they still can be removed from class otherwise they will disrupt everything. Stick all the kids that are being disruptive into a gymnasium sized room, no amenities, no phones. no teachers, and armed guards. Give these disruptive students the option of dropping out. They don't want to be there anyway.

I wish the Left would pick a position and stick to it. First it was "Children are innocent, and incapable of lying". Then it was "Children are nothing more than Little Adults and whatever comes out of their mouths should be given consideration". Now it's "Children should not be held accountable for their actions". Doctor, my brain hurts.

This short video is suddenly everywhere. It comes from a livestream of the service at the church near Fort Worth where someone opened fire on parishioners with what looks like a shotgun. He was immediately shot by two legally armed persons, one of whom reportedly was a security guard. It appears that altogether, there were six people who immediately pulled guns in response to the shooter. [Video] In recent months, there have been a number of anti-Semitic attacks, including attacks on synagogues. There have been a number of attacks on churches as well. A federal judge ruled on Friday that the state of Georgia acted within the law by purging 98,000 voters from registration rolls who hadn't voted in 8 years or responded to a mailed notification letter. All told, Georgia purged nearly 300,000 people who were either inactive or did not respond to the mailer. Liberal groups fought the purge claiming it was unconstitutional. But the judge didn't see it that way. Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Jones wrote in a 32-page order that the plaintiffs, led by the voting rights group Fair Fight Action, failed to show that the cancellations violated the U.S. Constitution.

Over the coming weeks, one question will be paramount in the wake of the Democrats’ disastrous impeachment fail. Should President Trump wage a pitched and protracted battle in the upcoming Senate trial? Or will cooler heads--like Senator Lindsey Graham’s--prevail upon him to accept a perfunctory hearing or outright dismissal? Fox News host Laura Ingraham posited a paraphrase of that question to Ken Starr before Christmas. She asked the former Clinton scandal independent prosecutor whether Trump should simply “declare victory” in light of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s passive-aggressive call to sit on the House articles like a distraught hen sits on an egg sucked dry by a barnyard viper.
