Fake religion from Pete Buttigieg

Original Article

Posted By: Pluperfect, 12/27/2019 4:28:26 AM

Pete Buttigieg has tried to carve out a niche among Democratic presidential hopefuls as the candidate who is comfortable talking about religion. Unfortunately, he’s only comfortable trying to use religion as a means of beating conservatives, especially religious ones, over the head. This annoying penchant was on display again in Buttigieg’s Christmas message. He tweeted: Today I join millions around the world in celebrating the arrival of divinity on earth, who came into this world not in riches but in poverty, not as a citizen but as a refugee. No matter where or how we celebrate, merry Christmas. Buttigieg’s message struck me as fake history.

Comments:

Buttigieg is trying to position himself as the Obama of the 2020 election, the man who came from seemingly nowhere in 2008 and captured sufficient voters' imagination to get elected.

As long as Donald Trump stands in his way, Buttigieg with his phony drive-thru religious pontifications has zero chance of being elected President, thank God.

Christians may be described as living in a strange land, since heaven is our home; but the Creator is in no way a refugee in His own creation and not even in context of His life as very man. I'm noticing how leftists are trying to commandeer Christianity now, but the gates of Hell shall not prevail against Christ's church. You can be fooled, you can be a fool, but you can't fool God, and God ALWAYS, ALWAYS wins. Divinity has a name, by the freaking way. I'm sure it hurts to acknowledge the true God, and I'll bet calling Mhd's god by name isn't a problem for Butti.

Yes, #3. And that’s one of the many reasons that he will not be president - America is not ready for sodomites in the White House. Before Butt plug goes spouting off about Christianity, he should take a look at what both the Old Testament and the New have to say about homosexuality.

Peter the Homosexual is wrong on both counts. Jesus, Mary and Joseph were not poor. Joseph was a craftsman - a catpenter, and apparently taught Jesus the trade. And they were not refugees - they were returning to their home town, as required by Caesar Augustus, to pay their taxes. They had to stay in a barn because during that busy travel season - Christmas - they forgot to use Travelocity. That oversight caused Mary to give birth in a manger.

This is what Mayor Pete is meaning when he calls the Holy Family refugees. From Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 2 The Escape to Egypt 13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” 14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”[c] 16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. 17 Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled......

I don't know what Bible St. Pete is reading , because the Holy Family were not refugees. NIV Luke 2 " In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child."

Pete gives off the vibe of a creepy stalker with his obsessive attacks on Pence and his Christian faith. He really creeps me out. Even more than Beto did. Pete also had no problems trowing his own relations into danger by lying about them and exposing them to death threats early in his campaign. He is an evil man who is worse than Obama ever was. If you believe the Gospel According to St. Luke (which I do), Jesus was born into a land occupied by an alien power (Rome). Jesus' father was a carpenter. Whether he was poor or not, I don't know. The Bible does not contain a detailed account of the economic status of various tradesmen. If you believe the Gospel According to St. Matthew (which I do), Jesus became a refugee when his parents took him to Egypt to escape from Herod, who sought to kill baby boys two years of age and under. All that said, Mayor Pete uses the facts of the stories in the Bible selectively in order to support his political agenda. Not wise. The stories of the Bible are meant to transform US. We are not to transform the Bible.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.
