He’s no sell-out — but his shoes are.
Nike’s new sneaker collaboration with NFL quarterback-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick sold out on Tuesday, just one day after its release.
The “Nike Air Force 1 ’07 x Colin Kaepernick” was unavailable in both adult and children’s sizes as of Tuesday morning, the footwear titan’s website shows.
The stylish kicks — $110 for men, $75 for kids — feature a “luxe black leather upper [which] is accented by a reflective Swoosh design and other high-touch accents in white and black,” as described by Nike. “It also incorporates a series of graphics including a portrait of Kaepernick embroidered on the heel tab, his personal logo on the tongue,

Just goes to prove that no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public. Why no MAGA/KAG sneaks? Where are America's entrepreneurs?

Nike shoe buying strategy:
Popular Nike shoes are available as knockoffs, many times made in the same Chinese place the genuine ones are. The knockoffs can be nearly indistinguishable. Buy the knockoff if you must have the shoe, eliminate the Nike middleman, China is going to get your money one way or the other.

CK is an ignorant, arrogant, angry jerk. He is also a terrible trouble maker, who pumps disinformation and hate into our national conversation, doing nothing but harm to America and Americans. Shame on anyone, anywhere, who buys anything at all that has any connection whatsoever with Kaepernick. And shame on Nike for associating with such a terrible person. I am honestly surprised, after his disgraceful behavior at his special "workout" that people would want to have anything at all to do with him..

So the shoes "sold out". Big deal. Missing from the article is a statement of how many pairs were in the production run. It could have been 50, or 100, or 500. Or some bigger number. Certainly Nike isn't dumb enough to make a huge run w/o knowing whether they could unload them. Probaby would have sold half a million pairs of the Betsy Ross Flag shoe. If they hadn't cancelled them because some snowflake was offended.

Nike claims the shoe is a sell out. But they don't tell you how many were sold.
For all you know, they had a sellout of a dozen pairs , just so they could claim "A SELLOUT!!" to drive future sales,
I wouldn't put it past Nike.

Think of the demographic Nike is aiming at. Yes, it's sad, but I wouldn't exactly expect these people to be fine, upstanding American patriots with a good sense of history or financial discipline. Washington who? Oh yeah, him, him, and him over there playing a pickup game in the alley.

Few people buy such shoes to wear them regularly. Most buy them because they'll be worth much more in a few years as a collectors' item. Think of it: how much would people pay at auction for a pair of Benedict Arnold's shoes?
Kids in the 'hood wearing these sneakers would be mugged for them. They can only wear them when they're hangin' with their peeps for protection.

This is very surprising (assuming it is actually true).
Because the kind of people who love Colin Kaepernick and love to have the newest , flashiest sneakers, don't usually actually buy them.
If you get my drift.

Many people purchasing these shoes are placing themselves at risk merely by walking around in them. I've read too many stories about people being attacked for the shoes they are wearing by people who want them. That's all I'm going to say.

So what? Kaepernick will never play football ever again. He's a big deal for Nike, ATM. The PC fans will get bored with Kaepernick, and then what? People move on. Enjoy the notoriety while you can, Colin. Someday, Nike will cut you just like the NFL did.

I wonder what Nike did with the Betsy Ross shoes? Too bad they didn't donate them to Rush Limbaugh's Betsy Ross t-shirt Tunnel to Towers project. But then, perhaps no one would buy them with the Nike logo on them. I think he's donated $5 million to the project so far. That's a lot of shirts! Way to go Rush and Rush fans!

In the land of drive by shootings, drug dealing and stabbings over a chicken sandwich there's a new symbol that will get you killed in 'the hood'. That's right there will be no 'hands up' give me your CK sneakers it won't be hard to Identify the anti-American and cop haters now. You'll be able to identify the haters by the shoes he wears Nike just made a deal with the Devil we'll see how that turns out.

Colon may be able to talk some people into buying his shoes, but he can't sell Colon to any of the teams in the NFL. But I guess he was more interested in "making a statement" than actually working and having a job.

I'm not saying they're completely feminine looking but they're at least 'festive'. I especially like the symbol of the ZigZag man on the back. It's a good thing it's nearly legal to pull off pieces of clothing emblazoned with a political message and threaten people while doing so.
Wait!, it's NOT?
