Conservative talk radio host Mark Levin presented a fascinating theory on his show earlier this week about why Democrats pursued a bogus impeachment doomed to failure in the U.S. Senate, and when you hear the details, I'm sure you'll agree.
“A neighbor of mine came up to me this evening about an hour before the show, and said something that was quite profound," Levin explained. "He said to me, ‘I’m convinced one of the reasons they’re impeaching the president is the Supreme Court.’ I said, really? What do you mean by that? 'Well, the president has less than 11 months to go, Ruth Bader Ginsburg appears to be very ill.'

Except that this im-peach-mint is a total partisan FRAUD and un-Constitutional at that. If Cocaine Mitch were to cave like that he should be banished to Taiwan for life.

Impeachment will have nothing to do with the next Supreme Court pick because President TRUMP WILL BE REELECTED. Sometime in his second term Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be gone!

Why would a flawed impeachment, or even a real one, limit the president from nominating and the senate from confirming anyone? It doesn't.

The reason the Republicans are united right now is because they see the writing on the wall: 1) The current crop of democrat presidential wannabes will pose a serious threat to the republic owing to their radicalism; and 2) they know we are in dire need of a solid shift to the right on the SCOTUS if we are to preserve this nation from the Left's radicalism.

Silly side show crap. Unless President Trump is actually removed from office he can appoint anybody he wants to the Supreme or any other court. He's still POTUS impeached or otherwise. Ask Blue Dress Clinton about that. Levin is buying air time on this one. If President Trump nominates Bugs Bunny to the SC and the senate confirms him we have Justice Bugs Bunny.

The argument fails because of a basic rule of law. The President is innocent until proven guilty. Someone who is charged is still entitled to the powers of their office until such time as the charges are judged by a jury to be true beyond a reasonable doubt.
I still believe the real target is the investigation into the Ukraine corruption. If this can be quashed their mission will have been accomplished and they will forward the articles for a quick dismissal. At that point the obstruction of justice crime will have succeeded.
The only person who has the courage to do this investigation is Rudy Giuliani. AG Barr should appoint him as a special prosecutor like he did with John Durham. Rachael Maddow's head would explode.

If anyone thinks the Kavanaugh spectacle was a disgrace, you ain’t seen nothin’yet. That one will be a Sunday picnic compared to the brutality of the next one. It’s about abortion, right? Nope. There is only one question involved, and abortion isn't it.

The question, the ONLY question, is when do these rights attach and when may they be taken away by the government? America cannot be morphed into a globalist slave state on the China model so long as the fundamental principle of inalienable human rights continues to underpin our culture, our laws, our society. This is what is under attack. The rest is the delivery vehicle.

I don't agree with this. As long as the GOP maintains a plurality in the Senate, POTUS can nominate anyone he wants and there ain't thing one the donkeys can do about it. (Thank you Harry Reid)

Leftists will use impeachment as a excuse to block anything they can. I can already hear the theatrics for Buzzie's replacement. But by January 2025 Trump will have 4-5 appointments under his belt.

Levin makes a good point. If:
1. The dems can make the electorate believe that "colluding" with Russia is a crime (it isn't but conspiracy may be); and
2. If the dems can make the electorate believe that calling Zelensky of Ukraine on the phone and asking him to look into Ukrainian corruption that may have created problems in the 2016 presidential election is a crime, just because Biden decides to run for president, then
The dems can make the electorate believe that an impeached president cannot nominate supreme court justices, and that Republican senators should not be elected while Trump is in office.

Since the Democrats have not allowed the day of hearings to the Minority, which they called for, and they stipulated there was no date, or criteria to determine a date for such hearing, the Republicans need to use the same vague language too.
And, I believe the Dems are waiting on a Federal ruling on Monday with regards to obstruction, per Sundance's article the other day.

Levin is correct. They will howl and scream if he nominates someone and this is their only leverage. Also, it will be their way to motivate their voters for the election. Whomever is their candidate won’t be able to!

To which I say: Unless the House submits the documents to the Senate, Trump is not impeached.
Once they do... he'll be clear in a month. Slight delay on the SCOTUS pick, that's all.
