Democratic House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn told CNN, if it were up to him, he would withhold articles of impeachment from the Senate indefinitely. Clyburn said he would only send the articles of impeachment to the Senate for if Democrat’s were promised a “fair” trial.
By “fair trial,” Clyburn means allowing new witnesses and deliberation to take place in the Senate. But, deliberations and witness testimony is a job meant for the House of Representatives. Clearly, Rep. Adam Schiff and House Democrats bungled their hearings and concluded with extremely weak articles of impeachment(Snip) Now, they want more witnesses called because they didn’t do their job well their first time.

Didn't Swalwell say "if President Trump refuses to send the documents ... in the impeachment inquiry, We can only conclude that you’re guilty"?
So if Pelousy doesn't send the document, she must be guilty of an impeachable offense. Ipso facto quid pro quo veni vidi vici and qed, no?

We are so lucky to have Trump as our President. It was always evident that the Democrats would go insane when the silent majority finally put their foot down on their socialism, internationalism, and tyranny. Only Trump is capable of stopping this, and that is why he was elected, and will be re-elected in 2020. Only Trump is able to defeat the Democrats whining fits.

Clyburn ( you twit) , formal delivery of the charges is not necessary for the senate to address them. Laurence Tribe , out of hatred for/of Trump , gave Nancy bad advice. Article I , Section 3 gives full power to the senate. You get nothing. P.S. A fair trial is for the accused, not the accusers.

Just saw a female Democrat talking (empty) head on Cavuto claim that Pelosi is the 1st woman to impeach a President. My 15 year old grandson commented “...if you think about it Monica Lewinsky has that claim to fame...”.

Trump should run for a 3rd term since he was cheated out of his first. If a Democrat can have more than two terms (cough FDR cough) why NOT a Repub?

Guessing Nasty Nancy is counting on the Democrats taking back the Senate in 2020, and then continue with the impeachment charade once its in Democratic hands.

The Democrat House leaders, including Pelosi and Clyburn, are obsessed with power.
They ran roughshod over minority rights in the House because they had the votes. Now they are trying to dictate the actions of the Senate where they have neither the authority nor the votes. Heads I win, tails you lose.
In the 2020 election, the people have the opportunity and the obligation to take back the government of the people, by the people and for the people by throwing out Democrats who only want to play power politics. The future of America is at stake.

Interesting. Not only is the President subject to the House, but the Senate is also subject to the House. I did not know that. Such a situation was not described in my civics classes. When did the House become supreme? Who knew? Is the Supreme Court also subject to the House? When did we get a Parliamentary form of government? Was the Constitution abandoned in favor of some new arrangement?
The President, if I understand correctly, has not yet been impeached. He will be impeached when (and if) the Bill listing the charges is sent to the Senate. Until then, all we have is a "sense of the House bill". Although the House is not making any sense at the moment.
Clearly a lot has happened since I left college in 1962. A revolution took place and I missed the whole thing. Did I miss much?

“Let’s give him a fair trial, and hang him,” Clyburn said.
This statement, coming from a black member of Congress, sounds like "OK, Left's Lynch Whitey! "

The democrats can almost be imagined clutching and hiding their papers, like a child withholding something. They pretend it's a really potent scarlet letter but what it really is to them is self-destruction, kryptonite. Heck, Democrats, paper your socialist chambers with it for all we care or shred it or shove it. You cast your spells and stirred your cauldron to fabricate them, while they are worthless legally and politically.

Since when did the House become it's own branch of government that was apparently able to dictate to the others what it would accept? The Democrats are showing themselves for what hey truly are....a bunch of power hungry, Trump hating, traitors, who will do anything to keep and gain more power. The entire impeachment scam was done because they hate Pres. Trump, his policies, and the people who voted for him.

Nancy has found herself waaaay up Schiff Creek without a paddle and her impeachment papers are all wet. She's just screwing around trying to buy media time, screeching that Trump has BEEN IMPEACHED SO HE"S AN ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT. Democrats, where I would have patiently waited for November to vote, I will now start sending money and knocking on doors to un-elect every Democrat I can get at.

McConnell has said he will use the same rules adopted unanimously by the Senate (including Biden and Schumer) in 1999. The Dems will look pretty foolish if they vote against that.

Tell Mr. Jive A Turkey to go to Hades. Did the House committees offer any assemblance of Due Process to the President during their sham hearings? Democrats are truly the enemy of democracy in this country and must treated as such. They must be crushed during the next election.
