Chico State Professor: College Republicans’
First Amendment Rights ‘Intensely Hurtful’

A professor at Chico State (CSU, Chico) referred to President Donald Trump and the Republican Party as “poison,” and suggested that she and other professors use the “immense privilege” they have as “tenured faculty” to protect students who are offended by their classmates exercising their First Amendment rights. The instructor told Breitbart News that the First Amendment allowing the school’s College Republicans to “voice their support for Trump and — the Republican Party” is “intensely hurtful” to many students on campus. “The First Amendment protects our Republican Club students to voice their support for Trump and their support of the Republican Party.

Sorry, "professor," but the Constitution doesn't mention political parties for a reason, and your crybaby snowflake leftist students need to either find a binkie to suck on or pull on their big people undies and grow the heck up!!

This chuckle-headed fascist cow seems to rely on the premise that the 1st Amendment guarantees her the right to spout off this mean-spirited drivel. I am equally confident that it assures my right to suggest that fraudulent edumacators like her invite the Great Thunberg 'amendment'. In her case, tenure turns incompetence into tradition. And if her students need the law to 'protect them from hurt and sadness' , they are worms.

And being called poison (deplorable, etc) isn't hurtful? Civility is a two-way street, Miz Briggs. “You and I have every right to stand by marginalized students Perhaps. But you don't have the right to marginalize students. Nor to say (or even imply) that their very existence offends you or others. BTW, ChicoSexProf, I support PDJT. And his reelection. And even some of his platform. If that seems hurtful, get over yourself -- what I think and whom I support have nothing to do with you.

How about: ANY college/university which in any way seeks to abridge the constitutional rights of any of its students faces an immediate cessation of State or Federal Funding, and a suspension of their accreditation, upon the first such offense, plus individual offenders lose any tenure they have. Let's see how many "loose cannon professors" are let go when colleges decide that they won't risk having nutcakes on their faculty. Got THAT Chico?

Let me get this straight. Some leftist students physically attack a college Republican but the professor calls the conservative students "poison"; others call them white supremacists. Notice that these kids don't complain about hurt feelings?? Wonder why. And Ms. Briggs insists she really isn't calling for them to lose their First Amendment rights. Really? Suck it up buttercups!!!!!!! I hope your parents love you enough to pay your way for the rest of your silly lives since you will be absolutely useless to society. Do you REALLY believe that you'll be able to live your entire lives without being offended by someone or something?? All I can say is good luck with that. The only thing that seems to fit is that this was a long time ago when his "offensive views" were the ones being potentially shut down as anti-American, so he was in favor of free speech for offensive ideas.....his own extreme leftist, anti-American ideas. I appreciate the effort, and the enlightenment. I wonder what he would say today, since his side now pretty much runs the colleges? Probably no longer in favor of it.

So, remember, when they tout the survey's that show more college educated people support the Democrat party, that many of them are teachers (union members) and professors (union members) since it's a requirement to have a college degree to be a teacher, with the additional teacher's certificate afterwards. Thus, not all are necessarily the brightest, or have much common sense. They spew hatred and vile with near impunity within the campus settings, as they simply presume everyone thinks the same way.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appears to be considering an idea Democrats have floated for several days of holding back the articles of impeachment to exercise leverage over the Senate and the president. She declined formally to transmit the articles to the Senate on Wednesday evening after the House voted to impeach President Donald Trump. Unfortunately for them, the Senate can act, regardless — and would vote to acquit. That’s because the Constitution is absolutely clear about the Senate’s authority. Article I, Section 3 says: “The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.”

The poll, taken December 15-17, 2019, among 525 Democrat primary voters, showed Warren nosediving to a distant third with just 12 percent support nationally. That reflects an eight-point drop from November’s results. The poll showed Biden leading the pack with 32 percent support, followed by Sanders with 25 percent. That reflects a five-point increase for Biden and two-point drop for Sanders, according to the poll. Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) came in fourth with eight percent support,

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) made a startling admission Tuesday when he said President Trump is about to be impeached “without the facts coming out.” The Senate Minority Leader accidentally told the truth while crybabying in the hopes of violating 200 years of impeachment precedent during Trump’s upcoming senate trial. Schumer confessed: So, to engage a trial without the facts coming out is to engage in a cover-up. To conduct a trial without the facts is saying: we’re afraid, we have something to hide. To conduct a trial without relevant witnesses who haven’t been heard from, to just rehash the evidence presented in the House just doesn’t make any sense.

House Democrats violated the Bill of Rights in pursuing their impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. Republicans have pointed out that Democrats’ articles of impeachment, especially the second article charging “obstruction of Congress,” punish the president for obeying the Constitution’s checks-and-balances. Lawyers close to President Donald Trump are exploring whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to temporarily withhold articles of impeachment from the Senate could mean that the president hasn’t actually been impeached. The case is a rhetorical one following Wednesday night’s vote to impeach the president on two articles. The U.S. Constitution grants the House of Representatives full authority over impeachment. But the argument is part of an effort by the White House and Senate Republicans to maximize their leverage as lawmakers debate when and how to conduct a trial on charges that the president abused his power to solicit an investigation into political rival Joe Biden,
