Former President Barack Obama declared Monday that women are better leaders than men, musing that the world’s living standards would increase if the fairer sex ran the world.Speaking in Singapore at a private event on leadership, Obama conceded that while women have their flaws, he argued that they are “indisputably better” than men, the BBC reports.“Now women, I just want you to know; you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you’re better than us [men],” the former president said. “I’m absolutely confident that for two years if every nation on earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board

Uh, well, I suppose it is possible. I know of one good example, Maggie Thatcher, and a slew of really bad examples, Hellary, and more of the hateful harpies of the left.

Well the Democrats consider all women to be one of their categorized political identity based population groups, so what would you expect him to say. The Democrats really have no viable public policy agenda that is believable, so to have anything to say, they stick to identity politics, many times still fighting illusionary battles pertaining to social issues that have been solved many years ago by either court rulings, legislation, or generational societal changes.

Clearly women can be phenomenal leaders, Margret Thatcher comes to mind. But if women are better leaders why have leadership roles been predominantly filled by men? Hell we see 120 lb 5ft 8 girls beating the tarnation out of 245 lb 6 ft 3 men all the time on TV and in the movies so it can't physical prowess. And when it comes to rallying others you abilities are not limited to your personal prowess but your ability to motivate direct and coordinate others. By what mystic power has all that female leadership failed to be predominant?

What a stupid statement! Where is the evidence? In all he centuries of civilization, early and late, exceptional female leadership is extremely rare. Where it is evident history has recorded the event and not hidden it.

What an asinine statement. Leadership ability is inborn. You can teach it to a small degree, but for most it is either there or it isn't. I have worked for some amazing women and some who were just there, just like the men.
There are clearly differences between the sexes, but this aint one of them. Mooch should go back in the closet.

If he truly believes females are better leaders unconditionally then why didn't he cede the Presidency to his wife, Michelle? I get the sense that he is pandering for headlines as he embarks on an international career of speeches at meaningless conferences. Pennies for palaver, indeed.

What a dumb thing to say... if it were indisputable, then we would have more women leaders than men... they would be paid better than men.... It's simply disputable.

I am so sick of identity politics. There are just as many male leaders who are good leaders as female. Barack Obama invariably, by making this statement, admits to his ineffectiveness as a male.
