On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) coordinating with the White House about the upcoming Senate impeachment trial was “improper.” Blumenthal said, “It is improper. He said not only is he coordinating but taking his cues from the White House. He seems to be abandoning all pretense or semblance of objectivity and independence. It’s also unprecedented. In every one of the past proceedings, Republicans and Democrats have worked together. Especially in the Clinton impeachment proceeding, there was cooperation between Daschle and Lott, the majority and minority leaders,

Ironic that the Democrats who went rogue on the Constitution will now have to yield to a Republican dealing the deck if they vote for impeachment. And as an attack dog, they call on their favorite "war hero", stolen valor Blumenthal, who is totally void of honor and truth.
The dirty Democrats have dealt the cards for three years, now they squeal like stuck pigs when McConnell is about to pick up the deck.
The democrats are pond scum. That's the best that can be said of them.

Blumenthal:
“I think he should change the tone and substance of his approach. Realistically he is more than just the foreman of the jury as some of our House colleagues characterized him."
Uh, yeah.
Because antone saying the Senate is the "jury" is wrong.
100% wrong.
In 1999 Tom Harkin got upset that some kept saying the Senators had to be quiet because they were the jury.
He insisted the Supreme Court weigh in.
It did.
Senators are JUDGES, NOT jury.
As judges they should coordinate with both sides about witnesses and order of presentation and everything else the judge does behind the scenes.
Don't let the Dems set this new narrative on our Senators.
Call or write them to remind them: they sit as judges, not like a quiet little jury.

Blumenthal must think we're all (Blanking) stupid if he thinks we're going to buy his obvious disinformation rant. All of you Commucrats should be introduced to the business end of a cat-of-nine-tails...for starters!

I think McConnell is the PERFECT person to handle the Demos and their idiotic march toward impeachment. He's the wonkiest wonk in the world, having been around forever and learned the backroom world of nudges and winks very well. He may not shine in personality but he excels in knowing how to best use all the bee ess political rules and regulations to our advantage --- as a weapon if he needs to. He dangled a very original and quite interesting acquittal idea out there and now even Trump says he's giving it some thought. He really doesn't give a flying you-know-what if the Demos accuse him of looking like a turtle or the Pubbies accuse him of Rhinoism. He has a great purpose to fulfill now and that is to set up roadblocks and walls and fences---and with his total understanding of political minutiae I think he'll do his jobt quite admirably.
The Demos must be worried too if they've already sent out Blumenthal to make noise about "fairness."

Start listening to them parrot the current day’s talking points and worthless cliches.
Last night I heard they are resurrecting the “R” word: Recuse/Recusal. They want Mitch to recuse himself from presiding over the Senate.
I hope November blows them to bits. (Wish the election would take some of the most low-life squatters (Sheila Two Names, Hank Guam Johnson, and James Brown Waters and put them in the pasture somewhere.)

Can anyone remember a democrat recusing themselves from anything. Think Kagan and Obamacare at the Supreme Court. It's one of there favorite fall back options.

There is no credibility in this circus, and your party is just having a three year tantrum. You are old enough to remember what happened last time your side went on a tantrum bender? The voters cleaned your clock and elected republicans across the board nationwide.

He said it on CNN so almost no one heard it. The demonrats are never going to get their spin out there by going on CNN. Has either Schiffhead or Nadless checked their ratings lately?

When the Senate is handed such a Russian type communist scam like this it doesn't deserve and gentle structure or acknowledgement. This is total rat crap McConnell is dealing with and deserves what he hands to Danang Rice Patty Blummy.
In all fairness when Schiff enter the capitol basement the Republicans should have bowed out and the doors locked on the scam and Schiff drummed out of Washington and a warning to Nadler that if he acted the same it will happen to him. This is not a functioning government and the leaders in both houses better get a handle on it before WTP have to step in.

"In every one of the past proceedings, Republicans and Democrats have worked together."
Was Blumenthal seated or holding on to something stationary when he said this? The spin is so profound it could power the turning of the earth on its axis for months all by itself. The 'together' in that was close enough to being strictly bipartisan to call it partisan within the statistical margin of error:
The Left's idea of bipartisanship is a one-way street: for some on the Right to side with them. And that is all. I'll have to sit to keep from getting dizzy if any in the MSM actually give the numbers of that 'together' -- all of 'em are going to echo the 'working together' mantra without detail, misleading their audience in the most extreme way.

The great bogus Vietnam veteran Blumenthal’s comments on this or most other issues have no credibility. If leftist and liberal Democrats ever have their way, all effective Republicans would be recused from taking part in anything got to do with government.

LMAO, they conduct a 100% hyper-partisan Impeachment CHARADE in the House, and are now angry that Republicans are not staying entirely non-partisan in the Senate?! Tit for tat doesn't fly with leftist Communist Demonrats, huh?

The "impeachment" is a total fiction, a fraud, a hoax. Not possible to undermine it any more than liars like Schiff and Nadler have already done.
