This might become a thing, right? Hillary Clinton could jump into the race, right? I mean it wouldn’t shock me. I know she has said repeatedly that she’s done, but she’s a politician. Politicians lie. Just look at Beto O’Rourke, who also said he wasn’t going to run for president—he ran anyway. She’s part of the Democratic Party elite. She’s royalty. She’s a heavyweight. And she would have the resources, the operatives, and the infrastructure to run again. None of the candidates in the 2020 Democratic field can beat Trump. I'm not so sure. I agree that the harpy wants to be president. In fact, she feels entitled to the office, but frankly, she doesn't want to do the hard work to attain it. 2016 was her best chance to win. The DNC paved the way for her nomination. Whereupon, she took a three week vacation. There was no incumbent and she was on the glide path to her coronation. She didn't have to campaign. The media was attacking Trump 24/7, and the polls had her winning by double digits hours before the polls opened up. So convinced of her imminent win, she bought a million dollars worth of fireworks and had already ordered her inauguration gown. 2020 will be much much much more difficult. She still has baggage, she's still a tone deaf liar and would be running against an incumbent with the best economy and employment numbers in decades. And, she's fatter, older, less attractive and increasingly unhinged. Snowball......meet hell.

Of course she's going to run. Like the Roger Clemens-induced "Sportgasm" when he appeared in Steinbrenner's Sky Box as a Yankee again, there'll be a "Hillgasm" among Dems when The Beast declares.

That remark cracked me up, #7. Thanks for the laugh. The one good thing about Monica's boyfriend's wife entering the race is that she will give the other Democrats running an excuse for losing. That is, right after she sucks all the oxygen from the room. I can't see her debating Trump again. But I can see her ''beating him again'' at Stupidity. She has it all and he has none!

She jilted her supporters on Election Night. Still has her coughing problem. No way she has the vim and vigor to mount another campaign. She would have to pick a young VP candidate to do all the work. Mayor Pete? Too white a ticket. We'll see.

Democrats’ Impeachment and
the Boy Who Cried Wolf

Democrats crying “impeachment” are the boy who cried “wolf.” Like the boy in the fable, they will find they have worn out the cry. And like the boy, they will be the ones to suffer for having done so. In the story, a shepherd boy repeatedly excites the townsfolk by falsely claiming he has seen a wolf. Eventually, the exasperated townspeople come to ignore his cries. Like the boy, Democrats have been crying for impeachment for every perceived Trump offense — many of which exist only in their own imagination. Originally centering on Russia, failure there drove them to Ukraine.

An Oregon panhandler was sentenced to 20 days in jail on Wednesday after wreaking havoc on five businesses in Portland because she said no one was giving her money. Marlena Rochelle Neely, 30, told authorities she was homeless and had been asking people for $5. Neely said she would shatter a window every time they failed to give her money because she was tired of people not helping her out, the probable cause affidavit stated, according to The Oregonian. Neely pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal mischief and was ordered to pay about $10,500 in restitution, in addition to the jail time.

Some recent news stories verge on the bizarre: the House Democrats’ futile fuss over impeachment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s acceptance of President Trump’s US-Canada-Mexico trade treaty. But they’re not as bizarre, or possibly as consequential, as unanticipated developments in the Democrats’ presidential nomination contest. Consider the role of money, which Democrats are always saying plays too big a role in politics. This year, it plainly isn’t. Their two billionaire late entrants, Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg, aren’t running away with the contest. Steyer is at 1.7% in the RealClearPolitics average, and Bloomberg’s 5.5% surely owes as much to his formidable three terms as New York mayor

It is hard to believe that the run-up to the presidential-election year has plumbed such a depth of farcical degradation. It must be that Trump’s influence has contributed to unserious responses, but he can’t be blamed for the unutterable nonsense of his opponents and the straight men of the political class that has absorbed the shock of the Trump phenomenon. Monday, December 9, had been much anticipated. Congressman Jerry Nadler, who has not been able to utter a sentence in the last three years that did not contain the word “impeachment,” gaveled to order his asinine Judiciary Committee hearings to consider the partisan recommendation of Adam Schiff’s Intelligence Committee

Everyone who plays poker is familiar with the “tell,” that is, a nervous tic or subtle mannerism that betrays when a player has a strong or bluff hand. I think the Democrats’ behavior this week includes several “tells” that their impeachment hand is weak, and might cause them to lose the whole political pot next year. The first is the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) that John notes immediately below. It was a big surprise Tuesday when Speaker Pelosi said the House was now ready to take up and presumably approve the new agreement, after months of delay. It may be true that the Trump Administration has made significant concessions

The Wharton School of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania has released its own study of Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren's "wealth tax" proposal and, to no one's surprise, discovered that her revenue projections for how much the tax would add to the treasury are wildly optimistic. Warren claims the tax will bring in $3.7 trillion over 10 years. The Wharton study reveals a more realistic number not based on fantasy-land assumptions: $2.3 trillion. Not only that, the tax will dramatically affect economic growth and shrink the wealth of the very people she claims to be helping: the middle class. Of course, Warren's proposal is political

The establishment narrative on Joe Biden is, to put it mildly, malarkey. Gropey J actually is everything the liberals accuse Donald Trump of being – bizarre, vulgar, dumb, corrupt, incompetent, and utterly unfit to be president. But yet the Creepy Veepy is so much more. In the last month, this totally not-senile, not-at-all-weird guy has assembled a track record of freaky behavior that would put mid-eighties Crispin Glover to shame. Let’s review… Corn Pop is old news. Biden’s latest rambling onion-on-the-belt monologue was something about little kids at a pool rubbing his leg hair or something – it’s so random I’m not even linking to it.

Live by the identity-politics sword, die by the identity-politics sword. The Democrats are learning that the hard way. With Sen. Kamala Harris of California having pulled out of the party’s 2020 presidential field last week, Democrats are wringing their hands and agonizing at the very real prospect that all of the participants in their upcoming candidates’ debate, next week in Los Angeles, will be — horror of horrors!— monochromatic. That is to say, only caucasians. Unless former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, who is Hispanic, and/or Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, who is black, can meet by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, the polling and fundraising thresholds required to qualify

He would also phase out gas-fired power plants. At a speech in Alexandria, Va., Bloomberg warned that "we have to start working as hard as we can building a 100 percent clean energy economy because

When it comes to the unlawful surveillance on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the most important question is, what did President Obama know and when did he know it? If we are to believe the testimony in the Justice Department inspector general’s report on FISA abuse, Obama didn’t know anything about the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Neither did his attorney general, her deputy, or anyone in the White House. At least not that they can recall – an expression used over 200 times in the report. Yet against this we have the Sept. 2, 2016, text message from Lisa Page to her paramour Peter Strzok saying “POTUS wants to know everything we are doing.”

BROWNSVILLE, Texas -- Salvador Castillo was yearning for tranquility when he became enchanted by a one-acre homestead close -- but not too close -- to the city, a place where cows graze beneath whispering mesquite trees on the property's edge. Castillo, an Afghanistan war veteran, and his wife bought the home using military benefits and grew their family into their new neighborhood -- about half a mile from a bend in the Rio Grande. They never imagined a border wall could dissect their property someday. But the first letter, stamped with an official government seal, arrived about a year ago.
