YouTube new harassment policies
ban racial, sexist or LGBTQ insults

Original Article

YouTube said Wednesday it will intensify harassment policies on its massive video site, including removing videos that insult people based on race, gender or sexual orientation -- whether the victim is famous or a private figure. Personal threats, even ones that are veiled or implied, will be prohibited, and video creators with a pattern of harassing behavior could be prevented (Snip) Among the new changes, YouTube pledges to crack down on demeaning language, saying it will no longer allow content that maliciously insults someone based on protected attributes like race, gender or sexual orientation. That applies to attacks on private people, other creators, politicians and celebrities.

Comments:

YouTube should have "pinky sweared" for the millennials on up to believe that the new algorithms do work. NOTE: "Saturday Night Live, including their "Weekend Update" hasn't been taken off...YET.

Harassment is in the eye of the beholder. FTA: "Earlier this year, YouTube took this route with the channel of Steven Crowder, a conservative comedian who repeatedly mocked Carlos Maza, a progressive journalist who is Latino and gay."Wear your homosexual/nonwhite status as a shield and you're immune from criticism. Dollar to a donut this does not work both ways; fail to celebrate homosexual behavior or the elevation of minorities and paint a target on your back. Stifling free speech and free thought, straight out of 1984; typical Google.

So much for freedom of speech. You can still insult Christians, The Salvation Army, anything sacred, decent and moral. But nothing hedonistic or perverse. Got it. Next: and all posts that fail to insults President Trump are also verboten.

It is a small step from here to designate any inconvenient truth as hateful. Then what is more easy than classifying ALL truth as inadmissible. Facebook and Twitter are already at it.

If YouTube were honest, they'd first BAN CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR and a number of other leftwing lunatic channels and vendors. They are always uttering comments with the purpose of degrading ordinary people in this country. Or, they bring on guests who call people "Deplorables" or "Nazis"..... Alas, YouTube is not honest and they will continue their downward spiral into oblivion where the only stuff you can see there is Nigerian pornography and old movies.

For the first time ever, women make up the majority of U.S. medical school students this year, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges. Women just barely surpassed the number of men enrolled in medical schools, comprising 50.5% of the student population. The milestone builds upon earlier turning points for women in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, women accounted for most of first-year students in medical schools. Last year, they made up the majority of medical school applicants. “This is a welcomed milestone,” said Dr. John Prescott, the AAMC’s chief academic officer. “Women have long been the majority of U.S. college graduates

Hermit crabs face a uniquely competitive real estate market. They need bigger and bigger shells throughout their lives, but can’t grow these homes themselves. So they rely on castoff snail shells, and are constantly on the lookout for better properties entering the market. A study that will be published next month in the journal Physica A found that the distribution of these shells in one hermit crab population was surprisingly similar to the distribution of wealth in human societies. That may make hermit crabs one of the first animals known to experience wealth inequality. (Snip)“Vacancy chains are just another way of transferring property,” he said.

Republicans turned the second day of House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearings into a direct attack on Joe Biden's son Hunter – citing his cocaine use and ugly public divorce as they tried to amend the Democrats' articles of impeachment against Donald Trump. Just minutes after the panel voted down a GOP amendment to strike down an abuse of power article, Donald Trump loyalist Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced a three-line amendment that explicitly mentioned Hunter Biden and the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma. It would change the articles of impeachment to allege that Trump's call to Ukraine's president was seeking information on Hunter Biden, not his father Joe -

Hillary Clinton looked wonderfully youthful at an event on Broadway in New York last night - and aesthetic experts suggest it could be down to regular 'tweakments' and cosmetic procedures. As a former U.S. attorney general, I am reluctant to publicly criticize my successors. I respect the office and understand just how tough the job can be. But recently, Attorney General William P. BROWNSVILLE, Texas -- Salvador Castillo was yearning for tranquility when he became enchanted by a one-acre homestead close -- but not too close -- to the city, a place where cows graze beneath whispering mesquite trees on the property's edge. Castillo, an Afghanistan war veteran, and his wife bought the home using military benefits and grew their family into their new neighborhood -- about half a mile from a bend in the Rio Grande. They never imagined a border wall could dissect their property someday. But the first letter, stamped with an official government seal, arrived about a year ago. Perhaps if Democrats would momentarily shelve their obsession with Donald Trump, they’d comprehend the staggering abuse of power they’re defending these days. Because much of Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing with DOJ inspector general Michael Horowitz was jaw-dropping. Horowitz’s testimony, in fact, sounded little like the media depiction of the IG report only the day before. Most major outlets had stressed that the IG had found no bias in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
