The Democrats have filed Articles of Impeachment. No one is surprised, because impeachment has been the goal for the radical Left and others who dislike the president since before his election.
Impeachment of a president is a solemn undertaking. It will inevitably, as Alexander Hamilton noted in Federalist No. 65, veer toward political factions. Yet it is important that our Founders intentionally did not embrace “recalls” or “votes of no confidence.” Rather, our system demands from Congress evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors and contemplates a level of behavior commensurate with the chaos inflicted on the republic by potential removal of a president.

The swampy NR finally has their heads in the game of defending Trump, if not their hearts.

The democrats will not give up on impeachment even though it will most likely fail in the Senate. They want to tarnish the President’s name and put him on par with Clinton who actually lied under oath. Nevertheless, they will knowingly impeach an innocent man simply because he won the election in 2016. The support they are receiving from the never Trumpers on the right is for the same reasons. They hate Trump and know he is more than willing to fight against the status quo of endemic corruption which has been benefited both parties for decades.
Despite all the attacks, the American people stand behind this President because of his record of doing what he promised and his willingness to fight the Deep State even though it has cost him so much. Never before have we had someone so committed to this country and its people and that is not lost on the average man and woman on the street. However, the democrats are now moving to interfere in the presidential election in 2020. They know the President’s favorable poll numbers and are ready to do whatever is necessary to prevent his re-election. What they cannot do is control the American people. Therefore, this is our election to win or lose. We must show up in massive numbers never seen before to not only re-elect this President but to send a clear and resounding message rejecting the democrat party. We must hold them accountable for what they have done to this country for the last three years. It is our duty to be the judge, jury and executioner of this vile party and send them packing.

"It’s legally debatable"
Meaning, there is no clear legal definition. Should political people be shielded from illegal activities in foreign countries? The President should not be allowed to investigate such behaviors because they are political opposition? That is absurd. Yet dems are basing their impeachment on such an uncertain foundation.
"I also do not see evidence sufficient to impeach a president of the United States"
There is NO evidence of anything beyond to those who hate Trump and would do ANYTHING to get rid of him. These petty vendettas diminish the accusers more than Trump.

Offering a rational argument to a democrat house majority is sort of silly.

POTUS is a master of the media, and the libertarded Dems have yet to figure this out. Have you noticed how POTUS brings up the investigations/impeachment at the rallies and yet stops short of telling the pumped up crowds what HE is going to do about it? He's subliminally placing this responsibility on the voters' shoulders to decide and they're rallying to his defense.
I for one do NOT think this "vote" in the House is going to go very well, if at all. Watch for some "crisis" to delay the vote and eventually be dropped altogether.

This is a "defense"? Not much of one, mostly the same rehashed, and none of it matters. Deny it or not, impeachment is a political not criminal matter. It's an accusation, not a conviction. The Dems are making a political calculation that is bound to explode in their faces if impeachment is voted out of the House and sent to the Senate. And if that happens, keep an eye on Mitch.

Let the American people decide?????? Mr Roy just doesn't get it. That is exactly what the Left is afraid of... the American people will vote for Trump again. The Dems can't take that chance!

At this point as Christmas nears I would like to thank Paul Ryan for giving us this boondoggle and handing the House over to the impeachment crazed democrats. Thank you Paul for nothing and not backing President Trump or at least the Republican Party. Have a horrible life you coward worm.

This article is just a re-hash of the concept that Trump is allowed to be POTUS and the House is not allowed to micro-manage him. No kidding!
After everything they have thrown at Trump over the last three years, it comes down to "abuse of power" (When? Where? What date? What event?) and "obstruction of Congress" (How? Asking a Federal court if he's allowed to call Executive Privilege is now obstructing justice? Trump was seeking justice!).
Basically, every President since Washington could be brought up on similar phony charges --- especially Obama over DACA, Fast & Furious, etc. . Only the current Demo-rats hated of 63 million people and their duly elected POTUS has brought us here!
Note to all L-Dotters reading these lines right now: If you live in a congressional district represented by a Democrat, you have my deepest sympathy, however, you MUST call his/her office today! Immediately. Tell them they will pay for what they are doing. I give thanks that my Congressman is Lee Zeldin.

The Democrat's real reason for impeaching the President is, "We want to overthrow the duly elected President, because our candidate lost the election. The will of the people be damned!"

#5 has a point. And it the Democrats get bogged down on an impeachment vote they can go for a censure vote to embarras him any way they can.

Seen elsewhere. Democrats don't want law abiding Americans meddling in the 2020 elections. They do however encourage/support illegals and fraud whenever and wherever possible.

I wish that someone would poll the 60 plus million Trump voters to find out if they want a trial. I would bet most of Trump's voters, and those who will vote for him in 2020 for the first time, would want a trial so we can watch the President state his own case. I like what Glenn Beck has to say about the whole impeachment mess. He is saying - have a trial - let's finally expose the swamp for the good of the country. Rush is suggesting that "the Republicans" should get it over with. No trial. But I think Trump's voters would more than likely side with Glenn than "the Republicans".
