When Devout Catholics Grimaced
Over Pelosi’s ‘As a Catholic’ Hypocrisy

James Rosen, a great reporter, asked Nancy Pelosi at a press conference last week why she hates the duly elected president of the United States. In her response, Pelosi detoured into another dimension, denying that she hates Donald Trump. “As a Catholic,” she lectured, “I resent your using the word ‘hate’ in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone.” “My goodness!,” I thought to myself. “How utterly frustrated, bemused — even furious — sincerely devout Catholics must feel listening to this cheap politician, who represents billionaires in a district teeming with homeless, cloaking her hatred for President Trump in Catholic fabric!”

The real tell there is "a sentence that addresses me." Who does she think she is, Louis XIV? She has delusions of grandeur no doubt brought on by botox poisoning.

In her current incarnation, Pelosi is a total stench in God's nostrils. He would not be listening to her prayers. But I am betting that the supernatural prince of the earth does and smiles in glee at her corruption.

Nancy - I wouldn't get so high and mighty about resenting the word 'hate' because you're supposedly a Catholic. The Spanish Inquisition also had a history 'of not hating anybody' as long as you toe'd the doctrinal line.

Only the divine Author of life knows without ambiguity or ambivalence the content of our thoughts and intentions. And I'm still holding out hope for a glorious long-shot save for Nefarious Nancy and other notorious faith-frauds and sinners. Maybe not for reasons as pure and selfless as God's, but admittedly to make manifest just how supremely effective God's grace can be.

Never ever skip an article by Dov Fischer! He has become my #1 favorite conservative writer. As a real Catholic, I keep expecting Pelousy to burst into flame whenever she shoves her fake Catholicism in our faces. I pray that on judgement day, when she faces God naked except for the deeds that she has done, she will be draped in fetal body parts, and that the millions of babies aborted during her time in government will then escort her to the ladder leading down to her eternal home with her pals Satan, Splash Kennedy and all the others.

What's a "devout" Catholic? One who continues to go to church where the bishop is harboring illegal aliens? A church that does not kick out baby butchers like Pelosi and Kerry? Where the priests are homosexual pedophiles?

Democrats’ Impeachment and
the Boy Who Cried Wolf

Democrats crying “impeachment” are the boy who cried “wolf.” Like the boy in the fable, they will find they have worn out the cry. And like the boy, they will be the ones to suffer for having done so. In the story, a shepherd boy repeatedly excites the townsfolk by falsely claiming he has seen a wolf. Eventually, the exasperated townspeople come to ignore his cries. Like the boy, Democrats have been crying for impeachment for every perceived Trump offense — many of which exist only in their own imagination. Originally centering on Russia, failure there drove them to Ukraine.

Detroit’s success was a very complicated story. Its failure is a simpler one. How did Detroit become the “Motor City” at the center of the U.S. automotive business? It wasn’t obvious that it would be: At the end of the 19th century, more than 100 automobile companies were organized in the United States, most of them in New England and Ohio. But Michigan won out because it had a hugely important advantage in one natural resource: smart people. Ask a half-dozen car guys why Detroit beat out the rest, and you’ll get a half-dozen answers: Maybe because Henry Ford and Ransom Olds lived in Michigan,

An Oregon panhandler was sentenced to 20 days in jail on Wednesday after wreaking havoc on five businesses in Portland because she said no one was giving her money. Marlena Rochelle Neely, 30, told authorities she was homeless and had been asking people for $5. Neely said she would shatter a window every time they failed to give her money because she was tired of people not helping her out, the probable cause affidavit stated, according to The Oregonian. Neely pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal mischief and was ordered to pay about $10,500 in restitution, in addition to the jail time.

Some recent news stories verge on the bizarre: the House Democrats’ futile fuss over impeachment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s acceptance of President Trump’s US-Canada-Mexico trade treaty. But they’re not as bizarre, or possibly as consequential, as unanticipated developments in the Democrats’ presidential nomination contest. Consider the role of money, which Democrats are always saying plays too big a role in politics. This year, it plainly isn’t. Their two billionaire late entrants, Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg, aren’t running away with the contest. Steyer is at 1.7% in the RealClearPolitics average, and Bloomberg’s 5.5% surely owes as much to his formidable three terms as New York mayor

This might become a thing, right? Hillary Clinton could jump into the race, right? I mean it wouldn’t shock me. I know she has said repeatedly that she’s done, but she’s a politician. Politicians lie. Just look at Beto O’Rourke, who also said he wasn’t going to run for president—he ran anyway. She’s part of the Democratic Party elite. She’s royalty. She’s a heavyweight. And she would have the resources, the operatives, and the infrastructure to run again. None of the candidates in the 2020 Democratic field can beat Trump. Joe Biden can’t remember where he is half the time, blurts out nonsense, mocks voters,

It is hard to believe that the run-up to the presidential-election year has plumbed such a depth of farcical degradation. It must be that Trump’s influence has contributed to unserious responses, but he can’t be blamed for the unutterable nonsense of his opponents and the straight men of the political class that has absorbed the shock of the Trump phenomenon. Monday, December 9, had been much anticipated. Congressman Jerry Nadler, who has not been able to utter a sentence in the last three years that did not contain the word “impeachment,” gaveled to order his asinine Judiciary Committee hearings to consider the partisan recommendation of Adam Schiff’s Intelligence Committee

Everyone who plays poker is familiar with the “tell,” that is, a nervous tic or subtle mannerism that betrays when a player has a strong or bluff hand. I think the Democrats’ behavior this week includes several “tells” that their impeachment hand is weak, and might cause them to lose the whole political pot next year. The first is the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) that John notes immediately below. It was a big surprise Tuesday when Speaker Pelosi said the House was now ready to take up and presumably approve the new agreement, after months of delay. It may be true that the Trump Administration has made significant concessions

The Wharton School of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania has released its own study of Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren's "wealth tax" proposal and, to no one's surprise, discovered that her revenue projections for how much the tax would add to the treasury are wildly optimistic. Warren claims the tax will bring in $3.7 trillion over 10 years. The Wharton study reveals a more realistic number not based on fantasy-land assumptions: $2.3 trillion. Not only that, the tax will dramatically affect economic growth and shrink the wealth of the very people she claims to be helping: the middle class. Of course, Warren's proposal is political

The establishment narrative on Joe Biden is, to put it mildly, malarkey. Gropey J actually is everything the liberals accuse Donald Trump of being – bizarre, vulgar, dumb, corrupt, incompetent, and utterly unfit to be president. But yet the Creepy Veepy is so much more. In the last month, this totally not-senile, not-at-all-weird guy has assembled a track record of freaky behavior that would put mid-eighties Crispin Glover to shame. Let’s review… Corn Pop is old news. Biden’s latest rambling onion-on-the-belt monologue was something about little kids at a pool rubbing his leg hair or something – it’s so random I’m not even linking to it.

Live by the identity-politics sword, die by the identity-politics sword. The Democrats are learning that the hard way. With Sen. Kamala Harris of California having pulled out of the party’s 2020 presidential field last week, Democrats are wringing their hands and agonizing at the very real prospect that all of the participants in their upcoming candidates’ debate, next week in Los Angeles, will be — horror of horrors!— monochromatic. When it comes to the unlawful surveillance on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the most important question is, what did President Obama know and when did he know it? If we are to believe the testimony in the Justice Department inspector general’s report on FISA abuse, Obama didn’t know anything about the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Neither did his attorney general, her deputy, or anyone in the White House. At least not that they can recall – an expression used over 200 times in the report. Yet against this we have the Sept. 2, 2016, text message from Lisa Page to her paramour Peter Strzok saying “POTUS wants to know everything we are doing.”

When the Dear Leader of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep, Jerry Nadler, said that this was too important a matter to trust to the voters in the next election, he and his ilk gave us a frightening preview of the Gulag into which they would put We the People, should they gain full control of the government.  They wrap themselves up in the Constitution but conveniently forget the first three words. They forget that the Constitution establishes three branches of government, not two. But they have no time for the courts to rule on disputed documents and privileged conversations. They call the President a dictator, yet can’t wait for the next election.
