U.S. Attorney John Durham issued a statement contradicting a key and consequential conclusion of Inspector General Michael Horowitz, and reads in part: …”last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.” (Snip) What inspector general Horowitz outlines in that key section is that: (A) he has reviewed everything, and talked to everyone (current and former) within the FBI; and (B) the ONLY evidence they FBI cited for the opening of Crossfire Hurricane is the singular conversation between George Papadopoulos and Australian Ambassador Alexander Downer and/or Downer’s asst. (Snip) That’s it. Nothing else.

The reason for the conflict is simple to understand. Horowitz is a dim and Durham is a pubbie. Horowitz believes the dim collusion and coverup is appropriate and Durham does not.

IG has limited investigative powers. Barr and Durham have access to information the IG doesn't have. ANd I bet Durham is sending a message to future felons that the IG report will not save them. Best to make a deal now.

Why did the FBI assume Mifsud was working for the Russians? Wouldn't that be the first thing they would want to confirm before chasing down a blind ally after some possible blowhard? Mifsud could have been working for any number of people including Trump's political opposition. Why was the FBI seemingly so incurious? Wouldn't you want to know who else Mifsud contacted? Wouldn't you maybe talk to your buddies in MI5 and other allied counter-intelligence agencies to try and find out what they knew about this Russian spy? Or did somebody allegedly trustworthy tell the FBI Mifsud was a Russian asset? My guess is Durham and Barr know the answer to that question, but the disturbing thing is Horowitz didn't seemingly feel the need to ask it.

What is troubling about this, left to standard government review, IGs, the needed information to know this in NOT just a bunch of "errors" was unobtainable. The Deep State PLANNED it so. Only someone with a broad range of investigative power, like Dunham, would be able to uncover this. This means the standard means of internal oversight is easily circumvented by those of ill intent, apparently the intelligence community. It's very positive that Dunham released a corrective statement but now we are left hanging again. When will Dunham deliver and how comprehensive will his net be?

Wikipedia: James Brien Comey Jr is an American lawyer who was the 7th Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 2013 until his dismissal in May 2017. So,what the IG report clearly states, James Comey was not actively in charge of his department, but was incompetent, at best. He should not feel vindicated in any way for allowing such abusive behavior, but presume he was simply following orders from the WH and AG with the expectation he would be rewarded by the expected Clinton administration.

I really, REALLY hope this isn't becoming a setup where Mifsud is the ONLY bad guy in the whole (lying fake, coverup) version that is going to be sold to us, or at least tried. Will they try to say that it was an "OOPSIE" and somehow this guy we trusted told us ......and nobody is at any fault, everyone was just doing their jobs, all good patriots, trying to do their very best. Darnit all if it turned out that they were wrong. I don't buy it at all, they are all crooked and this is the cooked up, totally fake coverup version which these bastards have been desperately assembling for the two years that Mueller and his Gestapo thugs have been stalling.

Claire Smith, Joseph Mifsud's colleague was featured in the UK's Iraq Inquiry. She was copied (cc'd) in an email between John Scarlett, former head of MI6 and Julian Miller, Cabinet Office Intel and Security. Halper leads to Dearlove/UK...not convincing. Notice the names above (mainly Smith and Scarlett) all played the 'dossier' game with Blair, Bush and Sec. Powell as basis for the Iraq invasion. Scarlett was Steele's boss in Moscow MI6 bureau and sits on Times of London board. Remember, the international press barons created the concept of 'intelligence agencies'...Barr meeting with the Sun King last month (sans leaks) is not a minor detail.

I'm in agreement with #2. For Durham to come out with this statement has many thinking twice and lawyering up. I would not be surprised if they are looking at the criminal acts of Schiff and others in congress. A coup is a coup. The first attempt was during the election, then the Mueller investigation and when that did not work, the clown court in the House. The House impeachment crimes keep changing...what gives?????!!!!!

The biggest reason...Horowitz is a deep-state swamper! A man utterly devoid of honor! the delay pf a year to release the report...Had to give the perpetrators enough time to scrub the facts and create a false narrative!

The new inspector general report on FISA abuse settles the debate between Republicans and Democrats on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Both groups put out memos about the Department of Justice’s efforts to secure a warrant to wiretap Carter Page. At the time of their release, the media praised Democrat Adam Schiff and his memo and vilified Republican Devin Nunes and his memo. Nearly two years later, the inspector general’s report vindicates the Nunes memo while showing that the Schiff memo was riddled with lies and false statements. The memo from the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee reported: A salacious and unverified dossier formed an essential part of the application

House Democrats and the Trump administration have reached an agreement to move forward with the White House’s replacement for the North American Free Trade Agreement, top Democrats said Tuesday. The two sides had worked for more than a year to resolve Democratic concerns about enforcement tools for labor and environmental standards under the new deal, known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. House Democrats, President Donald Trump, top Senate Republicans and labor leaders all cited progress toward a deal this week. The Trump administration needs to submit ratifying legislation to Congress for the House to move forward with approving the agreement.

Much has been made in the media about uncertainty regarding our nation’s trade policy. Stories of those harmed by the trade tensions between the United States and China, as well as by the tensions between the U.S. and its North American neighbors, permeate the news cycles. Most of this uncertainty is blamed on President Trump’s confrontational negotiating style. However, when it comes to trade relations between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, Trump has already delivered a trade agreement. The only person prolonging uncertainty in this case and inflicting unnecessary economic damage is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement has been before Congress for months now with no action.

Democrats last year smeared Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) when he issued a memo with findings that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) abused the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act process when it obtained surveillance warrants on Carter Page, a member of the Trump campaign, in 2016. However, a report released Monday by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz provided a damning indictment of the FBI’s use of the FISA process that vindicated Nunes’s memo and proved Democrats’ smears and assertions were false. (Snip) The DOJ IG’s report confirmed every finding in Nunes’s memo. Yet, Democrats tried to prevent the publishing of Nunes’s memo

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released an 83-page whitewash and former FBI Director James Comey is still exposed as a dirty cop. Only adding to his disgrace is that almost immediately after the release of the report, this dirty cop took to the pages of the far-left Washington Post to falsely and arrogantly claim vindication. What a monster. What a sick, twisted, narcissistic swamp monster this man is. The fact such a creature was allowed to lead the FBI is just another reminder that the entire System is corrupt and must, for the sake of democracy, be figuratively burned to the ground.

To understand just how shoddy the FBI’s work was in securing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant targeting the Trump campaign, you only need to read an obscure attachment to Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report. Appendix 1 identifies the total violations by the FBI of the so-called Woods Procedures, the process by which the bureau verifies information and assures the FISA court its evidence is true. The Appendix identifies a total of 51 Woods procedure violations from the FISA application the FBI submitted to the court authorizing surveillance of former Trump campaign aide Carter Page starting in October 2016.A whopping nine of those violations fell into the category called: “Supporting

BAM! It’s a quick uppercut to the jaw of the Deep State delivered via Attorney General William Barr in the form of a brutally powerful statement following today’s release of the IG report. AG Barr makes clear he has the Deep State in his sights and he appears fully prepared to take this to the finish line. (Snip) “The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken. It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation

The Democrats’ Ukrainian impeachment gambit is backfiring on Joe Biden.
