Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in her normal screeching manner, just raised national hackles by saying people will starve — starve! — because the Agriculture Department, under President Donald Trump’s watch, is reeling in some of its Supplemental Nutrition Program, or food stamp, giveaways. Stupid is as stupid does, as Forrest Gump’s mom might say. Does anybody actually starve in America? Starving’s a socialist-country thing. “Famine is a disproportionately prevalent outcome of socialist systems,” as the American Enterprise Institute reported in a 2016 study.

The 3:00 am dorm room reserve, alternate rational is.....the USA consumes way too much of the world's resources and, therefore, a little starvation is what we need. The foolishness and failure of all things progressive can be transformed, when needed, into a victory for Big Green. Cool, how that works, no ?

If the Press, on tv and win paper, were honest, there would be no more OAC. The Amazon "jobs" she is now crowing about, are minuscule compared to what was proposed for her district, and they will be in Manhattan! This young woman gets away with murder on a constant basis. Sandy from the Bronx should try the new diet - The Venezuelan. It's Government guaranteed that you will lose half your body weight in no time. Your fat belly will disappear in no time. And you can eat all you want, you don't have to exercise (standing in bread lines is not exercise), if you can find the food. Just look at Maduro, the ex bus driver, he's never been in such fine shape.

I’ve been saying for years that the only “hungry” people in America are the obese kids who didn’t get that second bowl of ice cream after dinner and the anorexics. Just for fun, go check out the people who frequent church food banks - the vast majority are obese or at the very least overweight.

The idea is to get all able-bodied off of public assistance and back to work. AOC fears her family and relatives will starve without food stamps? That's hypocritical and dishonest on her part, but that sums up AOC. There are people that need assistance. In particular, the elderly and shut-ins. They need help. There is a county program down here in Florida that does just that. No help from the feds. Giving money to people that are too lazy to get off their rear ends and work is just plain wrong.

I am ashamed to admit that this clown, AOC, is a product of the school system in the town that I lived in and paid taxes to for thirty eight years. She is completely off base with what she is saying, as are most liberal commie socialist progressive marxists. She reminds me of Greta, takes facts that she knows nothing about and spews crapola that they don't understand. Hopefully she will lose her seat in the next election.

The propagation of fear and scare tactics is the biggest play in the democrat play book. If one looks at the honest truth, most Americans are obese and we probably provide food or financial assistance to a big part of the world. We send rice to Asia and wheat to Russia when they have a failed growing season. This Puerto Rican Ditz is only using the party propaganda to attempt to attract votes. Shameful. Welfare cows buy prepackaged food out of laziness, not restricted access to fresh food. How many times have you stood in line behind multiple carts filled with deli-chicken, chips, donuts, coke and four or five children only to watch the overweight bimbo pull out the SNAP card or food stamps? Then they complain when they are asked to produce cash for cigarettes.

The hypocrisy of the AOC and the left. If she was that concerned - she would give 90% of her salary away and live on $17,500. Then she could share in her concern. As it is - like most bleeding heart liberals, she probably gives away nothing to charity or a paltry $500 to make her feel good.

Sandy, the Tip-Stealing Barmaid, is a literal leftist lunatic. Nothing that she says is ever factual. I challenge anyone to find any policy statement that she has made that will stand up to a fair fact check. EVERYTHING she says is either a lie, which she knows is a lie, or a false "fact" that she actually believes.

In my parish, all children, that's ALL children, are offered free breakfast and lunch at school. My grandkids used to get upset because they weren't given $5 every day to spend at the school snack store. Two days ago, I checked out behind a 300# ethnic heifer with 2 full shopping carts. She used 2 different EBT cards for the purchase. At #300 or so pounds, she wasn't starving. And I walked past her as she unloaded her carts into a hi $ SUV, without offering to help.

There was an article the other day, can't remember where, that the SNAP, food stamp, EBT card, whatever, are the most obese category of Americans. Not only that, but they have the newest cell phones and fad clothing. We've all seen the well-dressed, fat people arrive at the store in expensive cars, load their buggy with food and pay with their free food cards! Anyone, I mean anyone who says those people are not abusing the system is lying. Some of the welfare recipients have even been caught selling their cards!

Everyone will have their least favorite figure in the Democratic presidential primary. Mine might be Michael Bloomberg, for sheer self-regard, narcissism, condescension, and arrogance. Bloomberg did his first televised interview as a presidential candidate with CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King. Some of the highlights, or depending upon your perspective: No other Democrats is even remotely as good Michael Bloomberg, according to Michael Bloomberg. MIKE BLOOMBERG: I watched all the candidates. And I just thought to myself, “Donald Trump would eat ’em up.” GAYLE KING: You think all the candidates who are running today, he would eat them up?

This summer, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren tweeted, "The warning signs for another recession are flashing," and Joe Biden described the economy as “teetering on a recession.” But in the time since, the Democrats hoping to challenge and defeat President Trump in 2020 have been forced to mute their talking points about the economy. Friday’s November jobs numbers offered another example of why they cannot discuss the issue with any credibility — and also why their challenge to Trump is an uphill climb. The November jobs report showed that the U.S. economy remains strong, even as the rest of the world slows down.

Exactly two years ago Friday, President Trump fulfilled a campaign promise his three predecessors had failed to keep: he recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the U.S. Embassy in Israel moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Our new embassy opened in Jerusalem on May 14, 2018, on Israel’s Independence Day – 70 years after Israel declared its independence from Britain, just as the United States did in 1776. This important move was long overdue. Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1995 by big bipartisan majorities. The bill stated that “Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel” and that the U.S. Embassy

The numbers (33,510 apprehended and 9,139 deemed inadmissible) represented a decline of roughly six percent since October, and a drop of over 70 percent since the height of the crisis in May, when more than 144,000 migrants were encountered. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data showed that the number of apprehensions of Central American family units has decreased

The display, which has stoked debate on the Facebook page of the church’s lead pastor, shows classic nativity figurines of Joseph and Mary in cages on either side of a cage containing the manger of Jesus. “We see this as, in some ways, the Holy Family standing in for the nameless families,” said the Rev. Many Americans remain nonplussed over revelations in the House Intelligence Committee’s Impeachment Inquiry Report that its chairman, Adam Schiff, not only secretly subpoenaed telephone records from President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, but also obtained responses that detailed dates and lengths of phone calls to Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, ranking committee member Devin Nunes, and Hill reporter John Solomon. That Schiff self-disclosed this action as a rightful part of his committee’s information gathering is equally stunning. Every bit as bad, it appears that national telephone carriers AT&T and Verizon, who so tout their corporate concerns about subscriber privacy, responded to such obviously politicized demands without a whimper.
