Major Update: Was Manafort A Plant,

I've long been suspicious of the insertion of Paul Manafort into the Trump campaign. I haven't seen any solid evidence that he was a plant, but the circumstances have always seemed fishy to me.(Snip) Long ago a trusted source told me that the Clinton campaign had very early on come to the conclusion that Trump would be the most dangerous GOP candidate, from a Clinton perspective. That would have meant that the Clinton organization would have mobilized to take Trump down, and the Russia narrative seems to have been decided on at an early date. (Snip) Manafort was introduced into the Trump campaign through the efforts of Tom Barrack,

This is long, very interesting and contains links to two articles on Manafort from not so long ago that I don’t recall seeing before. I found this and the linked articles (one from Diana West) to be well worth my time.

At this point, I would put nothing past the thugs in the FBI, CIA, DoJ and DoS corrupt upper layers, many still in place and still working to harm the President. Notice that CIAramella's name pops up again. I really hope that Barr and Durham have steel spines and stout hearts to indict and convict at least two dozen, preferrably three dozen or more of the criminals at the heart of the corrupt dealings in these criminalized "law enforcement and intelligence" agencies which are no longer what the claim to be.

I really do not understand WHY. These politicians get fabulously wealthy as it is! So, WHY do they insist on making us a "socialist"/ communist country? Are they so greedy for power? Are they such control freaks they can't stand for people to have thoughts that they don't like? I understand they think they are so much better than the rest of us that they have the "right" to "rule" over us. Are they so arrogant as to think that they can do any unlawful thing and we will just lay down and allow them to steamroll over us? Do they think we are so stupid as to believe any obvious lie? I guess the next question is what can be done about it without "watering" that "tree"?

#2, Mrl Jefferson's tree does seem to need watering. But perhaps there is another way. The left seems to want to go that most unpleasant route, unfortunately. And, as the military says, when you are planning - the enemy gets a vote. So, the antifa thugs and more "get a vote" on how things will go.

Manafort joined the campaign to stop the theft of delegates from the Trump camp. Pure and simple. He was a delegate wrangler, same thing he did for Ford when his fellow republicans tried the same thing on him back in the day. Now as to the FBI, they could have forced him into an untenable position by threatening his family, like they did to Flynn. But I do not buy this author's tin foil, and if he hasn't seen anything then he is not bothering to look very hard.

Its incredible watching to what extreme our government will go to remove a President they don't like. The groundwork was before the election. Did they know Trump was likely to win? How badly did the news distort the polls? Can't tell if Manfort was a setup. Most likely Washington knew Manafort was in trouble, and saw a way to go after Trump. These people seem to think the world revolves around them. It does not.

On Friday The Gateway Pundit reported on the news that Democrat operative and Robert Mueller chief witness George Nader was indicted for his involvement in illegal campaign contributions from foreign entities to the Hillary campaign in 2016 (Snip) The list of the Dem organizations taking this illegal money is astounding – almost every Dem state organization and many super PAC’s including the big one Priorities USA. All of the leading names in the Democratic party took in this money including Adam Schiff and Ted Lieu, Jon Tester, Cory Booker, Hillary Clinton, etc. (Snip) Bill Barr on Friday indicted eight individuals for illegally funneling foreign money to Adam Schiff, Hillary Clinton and several Democratic senators.

The House Judiciary Committee on Saturday released a report laying out what they believe are the impeachable offenses against President Donald Trump before the committee’s hearing on Monday. “The Framers worst nightmare is what we are facing in this very moment. President Trump abused his power, betrayed our national security, and corrupted our elections, all for personal gain. The Constitution details only one remedy for this misconduct: impeachment,” House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler said in a statement as the report was released. READ THE FULL REPORT HERE:

Last week, a friend of mine gave me the perfect metaphor for explaining impeachment. An ancient Buddhist parable relates that six blind men were wandering through the wilderness and encountered an elephant. Since none of them had ever seen such a creature, they each described it based on the part that they could feel. So each one consequently called it a rope (tail), wall (flank), tree (leg), spear (tusk), snake (trunk), and mat (ear). This is the case with the farcical three-year impeachment quest that has seized much of the media and the political system since Donald Trump won the election.

If Senator Lindsey Graham is correct – tomorrow the DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz will release a much anticipated review, looking into how the FBI and DOJ used an application to the FISA court to investigate the Trump campaign. There are wide-ranging opinions about what exactly this report may, or may not, outline.(Snip)A review of the last three IG reports which brush up against the same DOJ and FBI network(Snip) shows the IG report on FISA is likely to come down somewhere in the middle. ie. mistakes were made; poor judgements were evident; some unprofessional conduct was found; some lack of candor was identified; department policies were not followed;

A recent poll, widely reported, found that a slight majority of self-described conservatives say Donald Trump is a better president than Abraham Lincoln. God only knows what such a response means, in an age when our mass media considers it their democratic duty to dox and fire ordinary people for their opinions, and when most historians regard it as unprofessional to teach American history in a way that leaves students with a favorable impression of America. (Snip) More useful would be to ask how the principles Lincoln stood for and the policies the Republicans of his era favored can be adapted to the United States of today.

“Do you hate Donald Trump?” a reporter asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) the other day. Her over-damp eyes flashed, and Sister Nancy Incarnacion charged the reporter. “As a Catholic, I resent your using the word ‘hate’ in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone,” she pronounced, the anger in her voice palpable.(Snip)She is torpedoing the slate of Democratic candidates for the chance that she, Sister Nancy Incarnacion, can play St. Michael against Trump’s dragon, which she hates. Biden is off challenging overweight old men to push-up contests, while Sister Nancy eats his lunch. Warren is promising supporters free everything, while Pelosi is promising to end her candidacy.

Relentless love of competition is a profoundly American trait, but you’d never know it from the way the Lords of Baseball run their game. From the Designated Hitter and Astroturf™ to the Wild Card and those 1980s-era Houston Astros uniforms that looked like construction signs, Major League Baseball’s owners have never been short on terrible ideas. (Snip) Baseball’s winter meetings will begin on December 8, and Commissioner Rob Manfred will propose eliminating the rookie leagues, sending those signed to Analytics Reeducation Camp for their first year rather than having them play games, and severely limiting the number of players each team can have in their system.

Tucker Carlson is perhaps the only major media figure in America willing to attack across party lines to make his point. On Tuesday night he went after Republican mega-donor Paul Singer in a withering 10-minute special segment on how Singer destroyed a small town in Nebraska in a hostile takeover of the sporting goods retailer Cabela’s. (Snip) Singer is a New York hedge fund manager who has made billions as a so-called “vulture capitalist,” buying up the sovereign debt of financially distressed countries at a discount and then cashing in later, using lawsuits to pressure governments to pay up. He’s done something similar with U.S. firms—buying up debt, shipping jobs

(Snip) “So I learned about roaches, I learned about kids jumping on my lap,” the former vice president told the audience in Delaware. “And I loved kids jumping on my lap.” Biden’s use of the term “roaches” without any context when talking about his tenure as a lifeguard was met with confusion on social media.

Vice President Joseph Biden traveled to Ukraine to announce, on December 7th, a $190 million program to “fight corruption in law enforcement and reform the justice sector,” but behind the scenes explicitly linked a $1 billion loan guarantee to the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who had been investigating the energy company Burisma, which employed Biden’s son Hunter. The show is over. Articles of impeachment are about to be drafted. The House’s televised public impeachment inquiry has been a long, painful and sometimes funny — as in “laugh until you cry” funny — slog. Now it’s time for The People to decide. At least, that’s what would happen in a scripted series with no basis in reality: TV justice, meted out by folks just like us, and in under an hour, is way sexier than a party-line vote. But as senators prepare for the trial that would follow a House vote, it’s still unclear whether the viewers — sorry, citizens — in our televised democracy were persuaded one way or

Draft language for a must-pass annual defense policy bill includes a provision that would allow 2.1 million civilians who work for the U.S. government across the country to take paid leave to care for a new baby after birth, adoption or the initiation of foster care, (Snip) Eric Ueland, White House legislative affairs director, said Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter and senior adviser, played a key role in negotiating the tentative deal “and lobbied extensively for the provision.”

Many Americans remain nonplussed over revelations in the House Intelligence Committee’s Impeachment Inquiry Report that its chairman, Adam Schiff, not only secretly subpoenaed telephone records from President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, but also obtained responses that detailed dates and lengths of phone calls to Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, ranking committee member Devin Nunes, and Hill reporter John Solomon. That Schiff self-disclosed this action as a rightful part of his committee’s information gathering is equally stunning. Every bit as bad, it appears that national telephone carriers AT&T and Verizon, who so tout their corporate concerns about subscriber privacy, responded to such obviously politicized demands without a whimper.
