Pete Buttigieg has been outed — as someone who has worked with the Salvation Army.
According to a report Tuesday in Out magazine, the South Bend mayor has several times participated in Red Kettle Ring Off for the Christmas season in the Indiana city.
Out linked to reports of the annual charity in local South Bend media from 2015 and 2017, and at least one other photo from 2016 surfaced on Twitter. In 2018, he held the annual Mayor’s Night Out — an open-listening event to let residents quiz city officials — at a Salvation Army community center.

Can anyone good come from South Bend? The city is on its last leg in too many ways. An absentee mayor doesn’t help much.

Clearly, the gay community will not tolerate even an appearance of brushing up against a Christian organization. What they are doing is creating animosity when there was little or none before. Most people are tolerant but the gay community is so radIcal and militant that they are constantly looking for anything that will set them off in a fit of pique. They are creating division. It is not enough to tolerate their lifestyle, we must celebrate it and now indoctrinate our children in its goodness. Their radical militancy is turning most of us off. The upside is that donations will increase to the Salvation Army as a non-violent expression of our disgust with LGBTQ intolerance. I know I will make sure to give even more this year to the Salvation Army.

When you are “ light in the loafers” and lose the support of the LGBTQLSMFT “alphabet” people, pack it in, you are toast!

I just do not get it. The Salvation Army does not discriminate against people in need regardless of who they are and what they believe. It is probably the most efficient charitable group out there with regard to getting the most done with less money. They are everywhere and always show up. On 9/11 The SA was one of the first on the scene providing support, water and food to the first responders while the Red Cross was trying to figure out what to do. These people are good and I, like others will increase my giving this year. In addition, Chic-fil-A has lost my business. They don't have the back bone I thought they had.

Maybe I missed it. What has the gay movement done to help the poor lately?

I know that there are gays who quietly live their lives and just want to be left alone, (there are a couple in my extended family) but they need to do something about the face of their “community”, just as decent blacks need to do something about their “leaders”.
The LGBTwhatever activists are quite simply evil.

Organizations like the SA and Samaritan's Purse are true charities, unlike the scam jobs of Red Cross and United Way. For one thing, neither devotes funds to abortion and favored gay groups, but RC and UW sure do.

Remember the time when all they wanted was to be "accepted"? We crossed that bridge many miles ago. They burned it.

First of all, let's dispense with this ridiculous charade that gays (or if they prefer LGBTQAEIOU and sometimes Y WTF) are discriminated against in this country. Last June we were treated to an entire month where every medium to large Municipality in this country and every moneygrubbing Wall Street corporation commemorated ad nauseum the immense pride that the alphabet people feel for their grand accomplishment of misusing their lower intestinal tract as a sex organ. Yes, at one time, homosexuals were treated shabbily that has been changed. Most people want to mind their own business and leave them alone. They are left alone as long as they practice their proclivities with consenting adults and behind closed doors. But, that isn't good enough for them. They have now become pushy and annoying. Merely disagreeing with their advocacy groups on homosexual marriage is grounds for being attacked and destroyed, as if dissent on this subject is not allowed. Realize that most Democrat politicians, including Obama, were opposed to gay marriage just a few short years ago. Plus, nobody can point to any society in history that has normalized and practiced homosexual marriage. This is a very large change in human society and they act as if it is just an axiomatic progression. This is just the homosexual advocacy groups' latest attempts to throw around their political weight for the purpose of asserting political power.

Can you believe they are jumping on the Mayor of South Bendover supporting the Salvation Army? How uncharitable.

FYI, not all gay people are against the Salvation Army. Most gay people are just ordinary people trying to make their way in life. Some even make a serious attempt to follow Jesus. They may see things differently from the mainstream of Christianity when it comes to human sexuality and marriage. Most are not intolerant of people who hold traditional views. Please do not lump all gay folks together.
The Salvation Army is a fine organization made up of true soldiers of Jesus Christ. It is a far cry from organizations who seek to trash those who disagree with their views. "For not with swords' loud clashing, nor roll of stirring drum, with deeds of love and mercy the heavenly kingdom comes" (a line from the hymn "Lead On, O King Eternal").

I remember back around 1989 discussing gay rights with gay rights supporters. They swore that gays weren't about recruiting or against organizations or Christians and just wanted to live their lifestyle in peace. The gay rights supporters were either ignorant or liars.

Ok, I guess the Christian angle is what the leftist -homos hate; which is sad, because the Salvation Army is about the last charity that actually operates primarily for the benefit of the people they claim to want to help, rather than the benefit of their founders, and executives.

The Butt Bandits are just like every other aggrieved group in this country, once they gain a sympathetic ear they want your whole head. They had more respect when they lived in the closet and should have stayed there.

Yeah, of all the organizations in the world to bash, I swear. The Salvation Army for God's sake? I am figuring out just how much I spent at Chick-Fil-A this year and from now on I am going to send that amount to SA instead of buying chicken sandwiches...

Hopefully this will give the Salvation Army the financial boost that Chic-fil-a got when they were attacked.
