Call it the Back-up Plan.
For the past couple of years, the potential for an economic downturn has kept jittery Democrats from getting too nervous about the 2020 presidential election. Even if Robert Mueller and his Russia investigation didn't get President Trump — and now the Ukraine impeachment investigation — then the American economy surely would. There was no way four years of Trump's trade wars and general incompetence wouldn't result in a nasty recession and a one-term Trump presidency, right?
Now it's looking more and more like the back-up plan might need a back-up plan. Wall Street economists and forecasting models don't see more than a one-in-three chance
Nothing succeeds like success!!

I think we have been blessed to have this Patriot, American Hero and True Warrior returning the nation to wealth, safety, and respect. Long live President Trump! ( And a pox on the evil ones who work against his goals for America!)

I think it’s possible- just possible- that Trump actually knows something about the workings of this world. He may not be just another beautiful chest.

Hopefully the saw is a little rusty and in need of some sharpening. But powerful nonetheless

It would be nice if the Democrats did something, anything, positive for a change. I am so tired of their Chicken-Schiff political games.

One thing that the leftist and liberal Democrats are bound to do during 2020, and unfortunately that is to talk down and attempt to sabotage the US economy as the run up to the general election approaches.

You nailed it #6, the so-called media and the Rat politicians are going to do everything they can to scare the be-jeebers out of business owners and the general public about the 'upcoming total collapse of the American economy because of the incompetent policies of the Trump Administration.' This WILL happen. They don't give a hoot about all of the success of PJT's and Americas economy, they only care about POWER! ''We had to destroy the village to save it.''

Number one issue should always be the economy. If the economy is weak, it will impact everything else that is done. The economy must come first. The economy provides the spending money for the government. Less spending money, the less government can do.
It comes as no surprise that the Democrats have run into trouble. The economy is the last thing they focus on. They focus on spending revenue. They need to focus on generating revenue (and that does NOT mean raising taxes). This is a lesson that Republicans need to understand as well.
Trump has this figured out. That's why he is doing so well. Business is booming. People have jobs. There is more revenue. Seriously, we can never have too many businesses or too many jobs. That will keep the economy growing and more revenue for the government.
Any candidate for President (or any other government office) that does not have this figured out should not be even considered for office. That is why all the Democrats (and some Republicans) strike out, and never even reach base.

"the decent economic news looks like a steady continuation of trends begun during the Obama presidency"
BO already tried to take credit for the booming economy. Everyone except the propaganda media laughed at him saying "You're welcome." for thanks NO one was giving him. Then people started laughing at the propaganda media trying to make a case for BO. The Left went silent about it because they lost the issue so badly. The public has made up its mind. It's Trump's economy and it is YUGELY successful because of HIS actions. The dems have NO possibility of turning that around. Even minorities are giving Trump credit, that's why Trump's poll numbers are rising, and some Leftist pundits have thrown in the towel, grudgingly admitting that the economy is good while grumbling that things might get worse, with absolutely NO evidence to support that whine.
Dems should be very wary around power tools. They tend to hurt themselves.

Obama waged an 8 year War on Prosperity.
Trump’s desire to see all Americans prosper and become self sufficient is a death knell to the victimhood ideology of the Marxist Communist Left.

That slimy snake-faced Jame Carville told WJC's campaign team to focus on ''The economy, Stupid!'' I liked the other attribution he did NOT say better amd it is good to shove it back in the media's face now (It's the economy Stupid.)

Had to miss your new, better job and higher pay. A nephew switched jobs recently, having worked at one place his whole (young) career. Now happier, and on a better track to promotions, making more money. The Trump economy.....raising all boats.
