Ukrainian Prosecutor General indicted Burisma owner Nikolai Zlochevsky. The claim alleges that Hunter Biden and his partners received $16.5 million over several years for their ‘services’ in Ukraine. (Snip) New memos released earlier this month revealed Burisma Holdings, Hunter Biden’s Ukrainian natural gas company, pressured the Obama State Department to help end the corruption investigation during the 2016 election cycle just one month before then-Vice President Joe Biden forced Ukraine to fire Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor probing his son Hunter. (Snip) Now this… Democrat Adam Schiff is linked to both US corporations named in the $7.4 BILLION corruption case.

Sorry, folks. Owning a mutual fund that has a stake in an overseas business concern does not equate to any kind of real connection at all. No more than my ownership of a Vanguard fund made me a player in the Deepwater Horizon disaster. Conservatives need to know what is a smoking gun and what is not. This is not.

Schiff and the Democrat leadership are up their eyebrows in Ukranian corruption. They have been using Ukraine to launder U.S. taxpayer foreign aid money into their own pockets. Quid pro Joe Biden is the tip of the iceburg and the Democrats are frantically trying to destroy Trump to stop the disclosure of that fact. I fear for Trump's life. It wouldn't surprise me if he suddenly commits suicide while his secret service guards are mysteriously absent and all the security cameras malfunction.

hammondb3 has is right. Millions of ordinary US citizens, hedge funds, public pension funds, and technology companies also have financial investments with both these legitimate US companies. The fact that Burisma used laundered money is a problem for the banks or other institutions that cleared their purchases of securities but the funds themselves would have no way to detect funds from criminal activities once they have been accepted by a bank. The real significance is that if Burisma was investing money illegally obtained they were also paying Hunter Biden and indirectly his VP father with dirty money. This is why they transferred Hunter's money through a Latvian bank and the Bank of Cypress before depositing it in Biden's Rosemont Seneca Partner's bank account. Rudy Giuliani has extensive Burisma bank record transactions that document the entire scheme but he has been neutralized in the media by the impeachment mob. He's also trying to get visas for the Ukrainian prosecutors Shokin and Lutsenko to testify about Shokin's firing but they are being blocked by Ambassador Taylor who testified on Tuesday that he "knew nothing".

If they lack insider information, then they resort to extortion from businesses by threatening to invoke some stupid law that would harm them. Once the money flows, the legislation is dropped. Lawfare’s Benjamin Wittes, one of the media’s favorite Donald Trump antagonists, took to Twitter this weekend to pen a transcendently nonsensical thread comparing the firing of a handful of bureaucrats to the rounding up of political undesirables in the lead-up to the Holocaust. It’s wouldn’t be a huge deal, except that this kind of hysterical reaction has now been normalized in American discourse, illustrating that once-rational people have either lost all sense of history or are willing to belittle the past for short-term political gain. President Donald Trump had an unlikely ally in his fight against an anti-corruption lawsuit from congressional Democrats — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut is leading a coalition of 186 House members and 29 senators alleging the president has unlawfully profited from foreign patronage at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., in violation of an ethics provision in the Constitution called the foreign emoluments clause. A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit dismissed the lawsuit on Feb. 7 on technical grounds, relying in part on a 2019 Ginsburg opinion.
