Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was absent from oral arguments before the high court Wednesday morning due to an illness.
The court said Ginsburg, 86, remained home because of a stomach bug. While not having the opportunity to question attorneys during the arguments, she will be involved in deciding the cases.
"Justice Ginsburg is unable to be present today. She is indisposed due to illness, but she will participate in the consideration and decision of the cases on the basis of the briefs and the transcripts or recordings of the oral arguments," Chief Justice John Roberts said from the bench.

The clock is ticking, and RBG's sell-by date has long passed. She will be gone soon, and a nice brank-spanking new female conservative will take her place.

That was naughty #1, but since it RBG, it's funny.

If her head fell off, the newspaper article would state “Justice Ginsburg missed Supreme Court arguments today due to a sprained neck “.

Nothing trivial, we hope.
Wishing eternal damnation upon ANY human being is an awful thing to do. But one seriously doubts that this beast will be met with a " Welcome, good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy!" encounter. But I suspect the very same greeting for the lousy bum who nominated her to this position, and the same for Every Single Senator who voted to confirm it.

Enough is enough. IF she does not have the integrity to resign, kick her out. She is unfit for duty. Replace her.

She and her minions (aka, socialist party members) will do their d@mnedest to insure that she can at least stay officially on the court until January. Then it will be an election year and Trump will most likely be stymied by the (unofficial) practice of not nominating a replacement. It will be the left's last, desperate, Hail Beelzebub play to keep SCOTUS somewhat in balance. ( You didn't think I would say Hail Mary when dealing with advocates of infanticide, did you?)

UH OH No one counted on a new Supreme Court appointment. It will be an absolute fantastic hilarious panic. Trump turns direction and ignores the hoax, waits for Horowitz, Barr and Durham and appoints the most qualified conservative, true to the Constitution, clerk to Scalia, Joan Larsen. As Oliver Hardy would say "And that's that, MMM MMM MMM!

When the impeachment farce started in September, I said the only reason is because Ginsburg is a lot sicker than we know. If she dies (I'm not hoping she does) or resigns (which I hope she does) The GDrats will say President Trump cannot nominate anyone because he's under investigation for corruption (or they'll make up something). Or, they hope she lasts into the New Year and then say Trump can't nominate anyone to replace her because it's an election year.

"The nearer your destination, the more you're slip - sliding away."
She is pretty near her destination, and I don't think she will be happy about it when she gets there.
And the shrieks of anguish in Leftist Land when she goes and Trump get to name her replacement will be heard around the world.

#10 is exactly right and I’ll add one more reason for this impeachment farce. It is so the left can say that PDT doesn’t deserve to nominate anyone to the SCOTUS because he’s been impeached.

Two of my friends have died of pancreatic cancer within the past year. They each experienced a bad bout of vomiting in the final month of life. At that point they went into hospice care. They were dead within a couple weeks. It could be that RBG has a stomach bug. It could be that her cancer has progressed. We won't know because it will not be reported accurately, but I suspect the latter.

BTW, the rule about not nominating someone in a presidential election year only applies if the president is serving his last term. That’s why McConnell refused to even consider 0bama’s nomination of Garland.

Indeed, the dims trying to create the illusion that an impeached president is considered damaged goods and cannot nominate someone for the SCOTUS is part of the dims operandi. But, the dims prime objective is to continue drowning out AG Barr's efforts to investigate dim collusion with Russia. So far, the impeachment circus is meeting the dim's needs, but, ruh roh, Horowitz and Durham haven't come forward yet with their findings. So, in usual fashion, the dims are attempting to run out the clock and try to install a dim in the WH in November and thus bury the dims' Russia collusion and subsequent coverup for good. Obie was good at this.

And yet Shannon Bream herself told us that RBG was 'present and actively engaged' at the Court yesterday.
A person on a Court of 9 persons in a nation of 340,000,000 shouldn't need to be monitored for her health and mere wakefulness. Yet here we are.
Spare me the platitudes about RBG's commitment to the law, to democracy etc. She is a cynical dead-ender who mocks the very idea of judicial temperament with her red-in-tooth-and-claw refusal to step down.

Better keep a close watch on her so they don't stick an impersonator in when she finally does leave this mortal plane....the LAST thing the democrats want is for President Trump (God Bless Him) to put another conservative on the bench...

Can’t be much wrong with Justice Ginsburg, as the 8th US Circuit Court Judicial Conference announced today that Justice Ginsburg will be visiting with them on August 5, 2020 and will give remarks on the 100th anniversary of woman’s sufferance?

Is it wrong to wish that her suffering ends soon, like before December 31? Trump will gladly work over the holiday to get a new justice seated.

So attending the actual case presentation isn't required by a SCOTUS?
They could be on vacation, in other words, and still render a ruling ?
Are they saying RBG is nothing more than a figurehead, similar to Hillary being the tech-savvy person who was reading and answering her e-mails while Sec.State?

#4, that's covered in the Book - James 4 - 13-17. There are no guarantees about tomorrow let alone next year or ten years. I see two possible picks for President Trump with Justice Thomas retiring but he won't until RBG leaves. I also think that RBG will not leave of her own accord until after the election. She may be a lot of things but there is no doubt about her commitment to the Party and her devotion to the woman's "constitutional" rights" of abortion and birth control.
It has been (and still is) my wish for a very long time to to see Justice Thomas as Chief Justice. It took me a while to "get" him" but once I did I liked what I saw.the country's loss it has been our loss that it did not happen.
