It is painful to take issue with my blessed friend Peggy Noonan, and also painful to read both that she has effectively joined the disreputable impeachers of Donald Trump and has invoked a disingenuous argument in support of that position.
Writing in the Wall Street Journal on November 2, she asserted that it is clear President Trump used his office to ask the president of Ukraine to destroy Joe Biden politically and that he used U.S. financial assistance to Ukraine as an incentive, and the withholding of it as a threat to incite such activity. And she wrote that the only remaining argument is
Just ask your friends and relatives: "Do you want your tax dollars given to a country that uses it to kick back bribes to U.S. politicians, instead of using it for their defense?"

Well, she's not a friend of mine, and I can say that Ms. Noonan has been gunning for Pres Trump, quite obviously, all along. Her toney NY friends, and the DC cabal as well, have been issuing her their opinions over drinks for at least 3 years now. I can't abide her smug, pious, semi-literate raves. Mr Black overestimates her influence now. Peggy is a back bencher, and that is a source of bitterness and spite for her. It shows.

If Black is so close to Noonan maybe he should give her a call and ask her to embrace rational truth. Give her a chance to air out her thinking aloud to a blessed freind.
Like Barr did w Muellhead.

This article is much ado over one person's opinion and Black gives Noonan way too much credibility. She took the easy way out by siding with her liberal friends but if one steps back and uses common sense (a tall order, I know) Donald Trump didn't have to lift a finger to wreck Joe Biden's campaign because Old Gropey Joe was swinging that big steel ball all by himself.
Adam Schiff had his impeachment circus all staged up and ready to go and he let it loose on the first event that might qualify as a discrepancy. He chose wrong and now the democrats are biting and scratching at the cage that they have put themselves into. Fear not, Conrad, Noonan will emerge from this error just as she has many others because she will be forever lost in a sea of mediocrity.

Conrad, what you have to look for is the leverage. It doesn't have to be money. It can be loved, but incautious family members. Just as Flynn originally pled guilty to save his son and newborn grandson, so, too might people like Noonan and Napolitano and others might be coerced into spouting propaganda for the Democrats.
We already know the FBI and CIA are rufe with their tools, which they used to attack Flynn and can use to attack just about anyone they want, with impunity. You have to be Lily-white and very lucky, or they will track down someone to hold you hostage.
Look around Noonan, and other recent reversals of opinion and you may find far more than you bargained for.

Peggy, take the Kelly Ann Conway test and circle your copy of the transcript and show me the bribe, threat, quid quo pro.
Biden bragged about sacking a prosecutor and gave Ukraine a 6 hour deadline or else mandate. We have the video. Failing to investigate that would be neglecting his duty.
If Trump did as you and so many others say, it was the worst quid pro quo in world history because the other party didn't happen to notice.
Stop the gaslighting, I have a somewhat functioning brain, I know when I'm being manipulated.

If Trump had been actually guilty of pressuring the Ukranians to undermine Joe Biden's push for the nomination then it would have been Trump who initiated the publicity regarding his call to the Ukrainian President and any suspicion about the Bidens' fraud and misuse of position. But in fact all of the publicity was started by Dem operatives/media. Trump opened up only afterwards by disclosing the details of the phone call.

I can appreciate that Mr. Black is disappointed with his friend but he needn’t worry. No one cares what Peggy Noonan thinks. She’s made a whole career out of her glory days of being a Reagan speech writer and gets herself invited to the correct cocktail parties. She does not influence voters.

Sounds like my "ignore, always" notation beside Peggy Noonan's name is still valid.
TDS is a serious mental disorder which also interferes with hearing and reading comprehension, apparently.

First. Who is Peggy Noonan?
Second. Why should anyone give anything she opines one ounce of credibility?
