House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is taking his "Soviet-style" impeachment to another level.
After first setting the House rules to allow himself alone to say which witnesses can appear before his committee hearings, now going public, he's now vetoing one by one pretty much every witness being called by the GOP to present some kind of defense of President Trump.
Here's his list of eight who are being blocked by Schiff, via CNN's report on Mark Levin:
In a letter to Schiff earlier Saturday, Republicans had listed the anonymous whistleblower, Hunter Biden, former US special envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker, high-ranking State Department official David Hale and Tim Morrison,

Much like CNN and MSNBC, Adam Schiff and Democrats will tolerate NO OPPOSING OPINION to come from this Star Chamber. I do not understand why Republicans are allowing this charade to take place in America's Capitol Building, but it's how they act each time in the face of Democrats. Too much of "my good friend across the aisle BS."

I don't understand why the Republicans put up with this nonsense, Protest the hearings, be loud and disruptive, make Schiff have to gavel constantly, show the hearings as the joke they are.
What is Schiff gonna do? Call the sergeant at arms? To do what? He cannot arrest you. And if he ejects one Republican from the hearing, they all walk out.
Schiff has NO POWER unless you give it to him.

It is no surprise that Schiff has nixed all of the people Republicans put forth, or that the swarmy Eric Swalwell (note how he is again on EVERY show, almost joined at the hip with both Schiff and Pelosi...NEVER misses a photo op) but extremely disheartening to see Jim Himes, Ct., also hitting the circuit with his totally irrational comments......the man is a lawyer and not dumb, so this is an absolutely conscious effort on his part to take Trump down, and since he, unlike Schiff or Swalwell, looks reasonable, he is out there fulll force. Disgusting.

If I wasn't dumb as a drop out from the school of rock boxes, I might just see the offer to allow GOP witnesses to be a total fraud.

I find it hard to believe that most democrats are going along with this. Out here in flyover country, they are generally pretty decent people who love America as much as we do. They just have a slightly different idea of what our goals should be and how to achieve them. Its in DC where the communist party seems to reign supreme in both camps.
I recently wrote to my Rep (a republican) about taking a more aggressive stance against these corruptocrats. He probably wont.

In the case of undoing the the privilege of a congressional minority to filibuster except for a super-majority vote for closure, Dems screwed themselves when they opened the door to votes which bypassed closure through the 'nuclear option'. In the same way Dems (Schiff) are dangerously opening the door for future representatives to mess with a House minority by forbidding contrary opinions to be expressed. What goes around, comes around......

In 2021, democrats will rue the day when they created these news rules and procedures. Like another poster said, the democrats never learn and can't see past their immediate desires. What goes around, comes around, and it usually gains momentum!

After the Democrats in the House vote to impeach in a party line vote, there is absolutely no reason why the Republicans in the Senate need to move immediately to a trial. First, the Senate should conduct full and complete discovery. To be completely fair, the Senate should adopt the same rules as the House did, i.e., the Majority (the Republicans in the Senate) should have complete control over which witnesses are called, what documents are subpoenaed, which testimony should be public or private, and what transcripts should be released. The Minority (the Democrats) should only be permitted to call witnesses that are approved in advance by the Majority. That should suck all the air out of the room through the primary season. Then the Senate can have a trial, at the conclusion of which President Trump will be acquitted of all charges (again in a party line vote) just in time for the party Conventions.

The truth, they can't handle having the truth be told, for they have an agenda, and they have their compliant media ready to dutifully report only what they have been fed to them by the Democrats.

Trump will use all of this ridiculousness to his advantage at his many campaign rally’s. Dems will be sorry they were ever born.

Well, of course. This is HIS Kangaroo Kourt and none of those Republican witnesses "will turn it into a sham".
Yeah, right. Too late, it was ALWAYS a sham.

I think republicans should have their witnesses on board and ready to testify. When it is their turn to call a witness, they should do it. MAKE Schiff forbid the witness to be questioned on LIVE TV. Do it, over and over! They don't have to roll over and play dead, they can play their own game and win if they force Schiff to be in the position of Judge and Jury! He's not a likeable guy to start with, so make him be the Bad Guy!
