This murder was a terrible happening. On the other hand, whenever I see "assault weapon" in the headline and think of how accurate "newspeople" are when describing guns, I wonder if it was a long stick that would shake off splinters and hurt someone.

I wonder if any of the guns came from Eric Holder and The Zero's "Fast and Furious" illegal program to ship military style rifles to the Mexican drug cartels, with the intent of provoking a backlash WHEN they misused the guns and they were traced back to the USA. They wanted to artificially create some extra deaths to cause a backlash against military style rifles in the USA.
In any case, there are probably more than one of these guys, and I hope they are traced back to their bosses and the bosses killed, soon.

All this for a "manufactured crisis"...........our kids are addicted and dying, MS13 streams over the border, and the Dems, just because they don't want Trump to accomplish anything, let this go on. And the PRESS, to my mind the true culprits, agree and "manage" the news. Disgusting!

Well, #3, they originally WANTED them traced back to the USA, now the Dems are probably not wanting that, especially if they can be tracked to the dealers that Fast and Furious had selling guns illegally. Maybe the current folks in charge might be more honest?
I suppose it COULD happen.

The Mexican President already has a war on his hands except that only one side is fighting it. The drug cartels have seized control of Mexico.

It would be rare if any of the Fast and Furious guns would be traced back to the USA. (exception being cases like the BP agent killed with one.) The guns originating in the USA were literally a few scary looking guns and in one case a Barret sniper rifle to get maximum effect on curbing 2d amendment rights. There were not thousands of guns smuggled from the US. The cartel gets them literally by the boatload from South and Central America. Ones and twos do not satisfy their requirement. This was the first illogical aspect of F&F.
Second is logistics. Zippy and his minions had some AK-47s smuggled, again for maximum bad guy effect. Cartels rely on Army deserters bringing their PTR-91s (licensed German HK-91s) in NATO 7.62 and bulk M-16s in NATO 5.56 from South and Central America smuggled in originating from US stockpiles recovered from VN. Even the army's new rifle to replace the PTR-91 is in NATO 5.56. AKs serve no useful tactical/logistical purpose except for show. And Holder's gang actually revealed their stupidity in having down and out amateurs in the US smuggle in Eastern Bloc weapons.
There is more than enough incompetence with this operation to reveal the evil intent of zippy and company if anyone other than Darryl Issa chooses to pursue it.

Warmongers who are unhappy with the Syria pulloutshould look to Mexico to pick up the slack. Bring US troops home, ,establish a 50-mile-wide dead zone at the border, start bombing Mexico City until the Mexicans stop the invasion. Boot the Mexican government, eradicate the cartels, seize the Mexican oil fields to pay for illegals here in the US.

NO NO NO. Don’t be fooled by this rapid pickup. The Federales picked some schmucks with no clout and are offering them up as a sacrifice to us. This really stinks.
