WASHINGTON — A White House national security official who is a decorated Iraq war veteran plans to tell House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that he heard President Trump appeal to Ukraine’s president to investigate one of his leading political rivals, a request the aide considered so damaging to American interests that he reported it to a superior.
Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman of the Army, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, twice registered internal objections about how Mr. Trump and his inner circle were treating Ukraine, (Snip)
He will be the first White House official to testify who listened in on the July 25 telephone call between Mr. Trump

Some are questioning whether Vindman may be a double agent. Hakim includes this note in his article:
"While Colonel Vindman’s concerns were shared by a number of other officials, some of whom have already testified, he was in a unique position. Because he emigrated from Ukraine along with his family when he was a child and is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, Ukrainian officials sought advice from him about how to deal with Mr. Giuliani, though they typically communicated in English.”
Laura Ingraham also pointed this out last night, and John Yoo apparently agreed it is suspicious. Yoo is a Stanford Law Professor, former Bush administration lawyer. One of the good guys.

Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman has one thing in common with Gen. Mark A. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Both have advanced as far as they are going to go in the US Army. (This would not be true under the Obama administration.

If Biden is running against a field of Democrats, why would he be considered Trump's 'political rival'. I would say Joe Biden's rivals are Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, et al. Trump was pursuing corruption by the previous VP of the US. The fact that the former VP is running a campaign against other Dems does not make him Trump's rival.

If I recall, Billy Clinton fired all the attorneys upon becoming president. Started over w those he knew.
Hillary canned the Travel office. Now we know why.
President Trump may have fired a few rotten apples, but missed many, too many rottens remain and must be fired.
No leaks policy must be enforced with real penalties; loss of retirement, fines, etc.

It is not your job to monitor Trump's calls for your policy concerns. This whole process needs to be stopped. If Trump wants a record, then do an automatic backup, and stop the Obama traitors from listening into those calls.

For once I agree with the Slimes - -
- - anytime anyone disagrees with a US president - - that president should be removed from office.
It's the only right thing to do.

I read the transcript. He says he heard it. I am unconcerned about what I read. What is the material difference between hearing and reading? Did he "hear a tone?" "There was no tone!" "I heard a tone!"

Yes, #3, Yoo is one of the 'good guys'. Just noting that he's at Berkeley's Boalt Law School, not Stanford. (As a Bear, I've always followed his career with particular interest.)

You have no right to "have concerns" about the Commander in Chief! He's your boss. Salute and march uphill into the cannon fire or resign your commission you cowardly snake! He's your bosses boss and his boss and so forth. NOBODY in the military questions the Commander in Chief publicly...unless you want to run for congress as a RAT and can use this as a campaign ad! LOSER!!!

". . . listened in on the July 25 telephone call . . ."
If he listened in on both sides of the call, then wouldn't it qualify as bugging the line?
If, on the other hand, he only heard one side of the conversation, then how could he have enough to be concerned, let alone trigger impeachment hearings? This stinks all the way from the other side of the country....

The President said (paraphrased) “was he on the same phone call I was on?” and suggested Vindman read the transcript to get it right. More information on Vindman is already coming out. Stay tuned...
