VP Pence’s Mealy-Mouthed Interview

For all of Trump’s flaws, real or perceived, the one thing that can always be counted on with him is that he’s going to say what he thinks. He’s unfiltered and that can lead to some awkward moments, but also some gratifying moments because he’s willing to say what other Republicans won’t. He’s willing to fight battles the party formerly refused to fight. This propensity has led to plenty of spittle flinging rants about decorum, but the lesson shouldn’t go unlearned by the GOP. One of the reasons voters got so frustrated prior to Trump was the constant fake, high-minded tripe that passed for political speech throughout the Obama years.

Pence is acting like a Washington politician who doesn’t have the guts to tell the truth. If Pence thinks this is unseemly take a look at your Democrat brethren and decide what is more important.

Wallace is the stupid one for asking the question that Trump already answered...DC leaks. Wallace has to get his weekly dig in on Trump, he’s sickening not Pence. Trump made a great choice in selecting Pence, he’s opposite which is good. Romney selected Ryan, big mistake...toooo much alike.

I have always thought Pence was mealy-mouthed. He was highly touted by those who like choir boy candidates. He may well be a very principled man, but he is not forceful enough to get anything accomplished against the Dems, the Uniparty and the state media. Where on earth will we ever get another president like Trump? One of a kind, it appears.

You can change your behavior temporarily, but it is very difficult to change your personality. Trump is aggressive, Pence is not. Pence would let the communists walk all over him not because he is a bad guy, but because it is against his nature to fight back. I hope he is never the nominee. They would eat him for lunch.

Freedom-loving Americans -- much less Donald Trump -- can sit still for seditious Deep-State Democrat Socialists and their lying pals in the Enemedia, this Wallace fool included. As for Pence, Mr. President, yank him behind the White House woodshed for lessons in Guts, Determination & Defiance or get rid of him. The 2020 election is no joke. Count on the enemy to use every trick in its criminal book to steal it, from nationwide under-the-counter vote fraud to voter intimidation at polling places by Antifa and BLM thugs. They've done it before and will do it again, and local governments will think nothing of it. As for Dem voters, they know they’re supporting a party of anti-Americans bent of destroying this nation. Why won’t still-loyal Americans among them speak up? I wore my MAGA hat to Cosco yesterday. Not one positive comment or thumbs-up! That was not a good sign. KAG

Washington has grown accustomed to the unexpected, the unusual and even the bizarre during the presidency of Donald Trump. But is it ready for John Bolton, hero of the “Resistance”? It’s a question increasingly on the minds of lawmakers, U.S. diplomats and possibly Trump himself as the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry forges ahead. A key revelation so far: Bolton, while serving as Trump’s national security adviser, raised alarms about the politically questionable role informal actors were playing in shaping U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine.

CNN military analyst and retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling criticized former Secretary of Defense James Mattis for making jokes about President Trump during the Al Smith Memorial Foundation dinner. Mattis joked about how Trump called him the "world's most overrated general." "So I'm honored to be considered that by Donald Trump because he also called Meryl Streep an overrated actress. So I guess I'm the Meryl Streep of generals, and frankly that sounds pretty good to me," he said on Thursday.

President Donald Trump called former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis “the world’s most overrated general” during a tense White House meeting Wednesday with lawmakers over the growing Syria/Turkey conflict, according to sources familiar with the meeting. The incident wasn’t the first time Trump has attacked the popular former Marine Corps general, once one of his most highly praised Cabinet officials. But since Mattis announced his resignation from the top Defense Department job last December, the president’s view of Mattis has increasingly soured.

This is interesting on the merits but also interesting in that two of the most powerful platforms in right-wing media are promoting it. I suppose one could argue that Trump handing the G7 to his own business isn’t a textbook emolument since it doesn’t really function as a bribe, which is what the constitutional ban is all about. We don’t want the president receiving fat envelopes from foreign dignitaries for fear that that’ll influence his views on foreign policy.

As The Hill notes, Planned Parenthood is planning to make a major investment in the 2020 election. The abortion conglomerate’s super PAC announced that it would be spending upwards of $45 million to unseat Republican politicians and replace them with Democrats. More from The Hill: The investment will fund a “large-scale” grassroots organization and canvass, digital, television, radio and mail programs. “The stakes are higher than ever, and we’re coming out more powerfully than ever with the largest investment we’ve ever made,” said Kelley Robinson, executive director of Planned Parenthood Votes, in an interview with The Hill. …

We’ve already heard about Hunter Biden’s lucrative dealings in Ukraine. Then there was the bribery scheme in China involving a guy under indictment. Now, we are finding out that he advised a guy headed to prison in Romania while not being registered as a foreign agent.

He failed miserably and even placed third in total votes in his own state of Utah.

Former national security adviser Susan Rice believes President Trump should have notified his predecessor about the U.S. raid that ended in the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Rice appeared on CBS's Face The Nation Sunday following Trump's press conference, during which he announced Baghdadi's death. During the presser, Trump confirmed that the now-former head of ISIS was killed after detonating a suicide vest while he was surrounded by three of his children in a cave. Rice began by praising the military action, calling it "a major milestone" and adding that "it's one that we should be welcoming quite plainly."

Environmentalists intent on finding new ways to reduce so-called greenhouse gas emissions to curb climate change have proposed a novel method: feed cows seaweed to diminish methane in flatulence, belches, and manure. Ermias Kebreab, an zoology professor at the University of California–Davis, led a team in producing a bovine meal regimen containing varying levels of Asparagopsis armata, a strain of red seaweed, and fed it to 12 dairy cows over a two-month period. In a mix containing just 1 percent seaweed, the cows’ methane emissions went down by a stunning 60 percent.
