GOP Pressure on Trump
Was Long Overdue

Original Article

Posted By: M2, 10/23/2019 6:44:03 AM

Upon hearing the news that President Trump bowed to pressure from congressional Republicans and reversed his decision to hold next year’s G-7 summit at the Trump National Doral Miami, my immediate response was, “Ah, what might have been.” No, I’m not wistful about the missed opportunity for taxpayers to throw a lifeline to Trump’s struggling resort. Rather, I’m a bit misty-eyed about what the last three years might have looked like if Republicans had shown this kind of spine all along. There is an interesting consensus among the fiercely pro-Trump and anti-Trump forces on the right. For simplicity let’s call them Never Trumpers and Always Trumpers. Among the Never Trumper Republicans

How about we have it at your resort Jonah? What? You don’t have one? How about other elected RINOs- they don’t own any? No one but Trump has created things of value? Why not? They don’t create value? Just steal it? Sounds like democrats - come to DC and get rich on a government salary? How does that work? Ask Hunter Biden, et al....

Jonah, I get your argument regarding Doral. It's a non-issue. How does THAT affect me and my family? It doesn't. I don't give a rip where they hold the summit. I DO CARE about the path that Our Gov't has been going for a few decades. I do care about the attempt of Globalist control of the Free people in the USA, I do Care about the Deep State who have exposed themselves ever since President Trump was elected, I see Their agenda and I, as an American do not like it. I hate the way the media and Deep State have treated Every Single Republican President that has been elected in my life time. President Trump is acting Presidential. No doubt. He is looking out for the Citizens of the USA, that is what he is supposed to do. The Never Trumpers, Deep State, Media and Dems cannot handle the way President Trump pushes back instead of cowering that they've been used to seeing in GOP Presidents. Trump is fighting for us and the, as you call it "Always Trumpers" know it. We aren't blinded by hate, we want our Country to succeed and that is why we look at the accomplishments of this President. It's the Never Trumpers who are bitter that a non Gov't man made it into the White House and has been successful, because that's something that a life long politician hasn't been able to do... Keep Fighting for us, President Trump!

Perhaps Trump would be more presidential if he was diddling White House interns. Or having the Muslim Brotherhood over and throwing weekly parties for rap stars and serving up 300$ a lb Kobe beef. There's enough about Trump that I find cringeworthy. BUT I dont wake up every moring fearing what a presidentially acting president is going to do today to screw over me or the country. I would much rather have someone in the White House that has our backs over someone who acts the part and "manages our decline".

Thank you, #5 for your thoughts. I wish they'd hold the G7 in San Francisco to show the world what Democratic leadership can do for a garden spot. Doral IS a non issue. Perhaps JG is right, the Republican Party needs to implode. The GOP surely has become the DNC with better manners. OTOH, if Jonah quit kvetching about Trump for a minute, people would just begin to say he was being wishy-washy.

PDT doesn't need the grief from "driving" government business to his Doral golf resort. That's the sort of theing Nadler would investigate, the media would pontificate, and the GOPe could ifnally use as its turning point to "see where the evidence takes this" on impeachment. If he's rich, doesn't need the money, etc., it's doubly stupid. Take this thing to Frisco or Flint...

Some time-traveler should create a documentary that begins with each country before and then continues showing their evolution as they became members of the E.U. Watch the chaos enfold.

Go back in your hidey hole, Mr. Goldberg. No need to poke your head out spew your anti-Trump venom. Clearly, you are incapable of writing an honest piece regarding this President. You are willing evidently to disregard real criminal corruption to flay away at your nemesis. Just being a deplorable Trump supporter who has zero influence or connections to the lofty elites who have ruined this country, I appreciate the work he has done on behalf of the American people. He has made real changes for the good of our country and its people. No need to list them because nothing this President could possibly accomplish would ever sway your opinion that he is a bad guy, end of story. Thankfully, Americans aren’t as sanctimonious as you and understand we all have flaws and make mistakes. It must be very lofty air you breathe up there as you condescend to lecture your fellow Americans. I’d like to propose a challenge to you. Put yourself out there. Let the democrats, media and Rinos feast on your carcass every single day and see how you respond. Let them revile you, your family, your children and grandchildren. Let them advocate for your assassination. Let them lie, distort and omit anything that does not further their get Jonah agenda and then get back to me. You could not withstand one day of the vicious attacks that this President has endured for three years. Therefore, your opinion means diddly squat to the American people. You are a mean spirited bitter and resentful excuse for a man. Grow up! Take the self-righteous blinders off. Anyone who could continue on this Ahab-like quest to damage this President has some serious problems with integrity.

'I’m a bit misty-eyed about what the last three years might have looked like if Republicans had shown this kind of spine all along.' They might have looked like...the George W. Bush years. Economic chaos, bailouts, TARP etc. Military deployments everywhere to no avail. Taking Dem abuse daily and hiding under the desk. Honestly, what is there about Establishment Republicans that is positive, brave, desirable etc? Doesn't 'spine' as used in this column actually mean a lack of spine as exhibited by McConnell, Romney, Ryan et al?

Oh for crying out loud. Is it so hard to recognize the renewed sense of patriotism, peace and prosperity all citizens of this great country are enjoying? This ‘deplorable’ celebrates a President who puts America first rather than embarking on world wide apology tours. I won’t list his accomplishments or disparage past Presidents. But I do have to thank him for working tirelessly for every citizen of this great country. Mr. Goldberg seems uncomfortable with President Trump’s STYLE and remarkably not much else. I feel rather certain that he too is enjoying his tax cut and celebrates the low unemployment rates in all communities that have lead to the creation of new businesses among Hispanics and the pride of a pay check for minorities. Well, it seems I couldn’t help myself and had to point out just a few of our President’s accomplishments while constantly under assault by the Deep State. The liberals are annoying. The idea of having the G-7 at Trump's Doral resort was master trolling, just like dropping the word, "lynching" by Trump who already knew full well which Dems had used that term about Clinton's impeachment. Now, why Trump is trolling so hard currently is a bit of a mystery, unless you realize he's already campaigning! Yup. Free publicity by the very media that hates him, including the globalist among the GOP, like Goldberg's site. They fell for it before and are falling for it again.

The Mouse squeaks once more. Anybody who can criticize the brilliant recovery America has made after eight years of crime, death and destruction is not capable of seeing daylight in the morning. Alongside all of those big victories on the national and international landscapes, Donald Trump is simultaneously fighting a never-ending battle with a corrupt Congress and the Deep State. It wasn't just about offering a great place for the conference. It is also about providing excellent security for those in attendance. This resort would have held security costs lower than average, since the resort was all self contained and attendees did not need to leave the grounds. I’ve heard Jonah, a D.C. resident, explain away his failure to support the candidacy of President Trump by stating “If my vote counted I would have voted for Trump.” Of course that doesn’t explain the enumerable hostile columns he’s written and his implicit support of felonious Hillary. Fortunately for the USA his opinion was irrelevant then and it’s irrelevant now.

Did Jonah return to full-blast anti-Trump mode before PIAPS started testing the waters for a possible late entry into the Democrat campaign? The last I recall was him moderating his monotone a bit sometime last year, after the 2020 clown show began without her. And I'm beginning to wonder if Jonah's off-putting pathology is more hot-for-Hillary than detest-of-Trump. Either way, I still really miss the erudite and articulate commentary we used to see from Jonah, and it breaks my heart that his NeverTrump fixation has brought Ldotters to derogate him so openly in front of his mother, whom we still claim to love and respect.

I seriously doubt Democratic or Republican pressure had anything to do with President Trump canceling the G-7 at the Doral. My guess there were security concerns. The President backtracked awful fast. Usually he enjoys stirring the pot, and watching what rises up. He likes fighting Washington. Jonah is just continuing the NeverTrump meme complaining Trump is too dishonest to be President. Really? Jonah, have you taken a close look at our career politicians (both parties) lately? There aren't any saints, and actually, Trump is more honest than 90% of Washington . Most of Washington has chosen not to govern. They would rather be power players lining their wallets. I hope Jonah Goldberg comprehends how repulsed conservatives are with the position he takes against Trump at every opportunity. I scrolled through the comments this morning and was heartened by all of the harsh comments directed to J. Goldberg, all composed on this premier conservative site owned by his mother whom we all respect and cherish. I really had nothing to add to these comments at that time and now after coming back this evening to see that it continues, I would have to conclude that even a fool would come to realize how out of step he has become.

Oscar-winning actress and climate activist Emma Thompson has seen the future and behold, it is grim. She warned Thursday the “climate crisis” means Britons must prepare for “crop failures” and the prospect of eating their own pets to survive a future of cataclysmic weather events, great suffering and injustice. The star, 60, spoke outside the BBC Broadcasting House in central London at an Extinction Rebellion protest to deliver her warning to followers, claiming “general consensus does suggest there is an imminent crisis forecast.” As she braced herself in front of two maps, held up by activists in swimming cap and goggles, that showed areas at risk of flooding by 2030,

The imaginary recession of 2019 is over. The U.S. economy added 266,000 jobs for the month and the unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent, matching the lowest level in 50 years. Economists had expected the economy to add 180,000 jobs and for unemployment to remain unchanged at 3.6 percent, according to Econoday. Adding to the picture of strength for the labor market, previous jobs numbers were revised up. September’s figure was revised up by 13,000 to 193,000. October was revised up by 28,000 to 156,000. Together, that adds 41,000 more jobs than previously reported. The Friday report on nonfarm payrolls makes it clear that the economy is much stronger than

The "Our diversity is our strength!" Party is starting to look rather monochromatic in its upper echelons these days. The four leading candidates for its presidential nomination — Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg — are all white. The six candidates who have qualified for the Dec. 19 debate — the front four, plus Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer — are all white. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer are both white, as are Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Whip Dick Durbin.

On the same day she asked House Democrats to write articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) took part in a CNN town hall that focused on her momentous and controversial decision. A student who identified himself as a registered Republican asked Pelosi Thursday night how she plans to unify the nation, as one side demands impeachment and the other side calls it a witch hunt. “I myself think that one of the ways that America will heal is through the arts,” Pelosi answered.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s yet unpublished draft report found that the FBI did not inform the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that the controversial Steele dossier, cited in applications to spy on Page, was unreliable, according to the Washington Post.

Former secretary of state John Kerry endorsed Joe Biden for President on Thursday, citing Biden’s performance serving as vice president in the Obama administration as proof that he has what it takes to defeat President Trump. “The world is broken,” Kerry told The Washington Post. “Our politics are broken. The country faces extraordinary challenges. And I believe very deeply that Joe Biden’s character, his ability to persevere, his decency and the experiences that he brings to the table are critical to the moment. The world has to be put back together, the world that Donald Trump has smashed apart.”

This trade pact is critical to our economy and we need to get this right or risk standing in the way of our own economic success,” Gonzalez said in the release. One symptom of a society in crisis is the unreliability or even corruption of its own auditors. After all, when the watchmen have lost moral authority to watch, who can be believed or trusted? Or, as the Roman satirist Juvenal famously put it, “Who will guard the guardians?” It was recently reported that FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith altered an email to bolster a suspicious FBI effort to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant authorizing the surveillance of Carter Page, a onetime employee of the Trump campaign.

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
