Beto O’Rourke: If You Don’t Hand over
Your AR-15 We’ll Take It

During the October 15, Democrat debate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke made clear that AR-15 owners who refuse to hand over their guns will have them taken away. O’Rourke reiterated his plan to use a government-mandated buyback to confiscate privately-owned AR-15s and AK-47s. In so doing, he claimed that each AR-15 and AK-47 in private hands is a “potential instrument of terror.” CNN’s Anderson Cooper then asked O’Rourke how he plans to get people to hand over their rifles. O’Rourke responded by explaining that he expects complains with the mandatory buybacks. He said, “I expect my fellow Americans to follow the law. The same way we enforce any provision

' [Beto” O’Rourke] “I expect my fellow Americans to follow the law. The same way we enforce any provision, any law that we have right now, we don’t go door to door to do anything to enforce the law. I expect Republicans, Democrats, gun owners, non-gun owners alike, to follow the law.” ' You mean like the drug laws, right?

The one reason this guy is still in the game is because the dems are using him to test their confiscation strategy. They know he doesn’t stand a chance but he is out there saying the unthinkable and they are monitoring its effectiveness. They just needed one person to publicly call for it. He’s their stooge.

In the urban areas of out country, most of the citizenry have been disarmed. But in the rural areas, I don't think many law enforcement agencies would participate in gun confiscation. Rural state legislatures might adopt a "sanctuary" status for their firearm-owning citizens.

I just can't imagine this soy boy coming to my door you take my weapons. I think my wife could handle him. If there is some law passed to come and take our firearms it will be unconstitutional so what law will we be required to follow. The only legal law is the Second Amendment. The dems are going to loose big with this rhetoric.

Beto says: "I expect my fellow Americans to follow the law!". Just like the governors of states and the mayors of cities follow the law and cooperate with ICE? Does he mean the same way the have created sanctuary cities? And how's he feel about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his "obeying the law"? What about Rosa Parks? Or go all the way back to Henry David Thoreau ... did he break "the law"? Or Washington when he fought his former commanders? Did George "break the law"? Expect the same resistance Beto. Sorry for the second post. #10 is correct. Local law enforcement would declare sanctuary cities for gun owners. It's already happened in the bluest of blue states, New Mexico. It wasn't about confiscation as much as clamping down on gun shows and private individual sales. The threat form the governor went no where because all sheriffs declared their jurisdiction 'sanctuary gun owner' districts. Confiscation won't take place for law abiding citizens. Do it yourself Beto and knock on that door then see what happens.

Them's fightin words buddy boy. Come on out to a deer hunting ranch in South Texas on a Saturday night after a great day of hunting and say that. Beto I bet you think that AR stands for Assault Rifle and that the 15 stands for it's firing rate of 15 rounds per second. Am I right? Do you know the caliber of this gun? You believe it is a .50 cal round right? Then with its bayonet mount and grenade launcher it becomes a formidable weapon of mass destruction and terror. So with all this firepower what makes you think you can take it away from me.

They just keep on & on - lying, pontificating, making noise - putting it into the public discourse - until some people believe that whatever perversion they are marketing is an OK way to be. Our job is to make sure we have our thoughts straight on citizenship, the Second Amendment & common foundational things like marriage. We need to have our words at the ready to defend these vital elements of our civilization. We need to be repeating what is the obvious and countering the foolishness.

"We'll....."- Oh, yeah? Is your punk butt planning on going out on these round ups with these jackbooted thugs you intend to hire? I don't think most County Sheriffs in Free America will follow your orders. They have sworn an oath to uphold the US Constitution "against all enemies, foreign and domestic". And you Bobby Boy become the "domestic enemy" if you try to do this. So don't count on the Sheriffs, they can grasp "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed", even if YOU can't. The military folks also swore the same oath to the US Constitution (not the Demonrat Party). You may get a few of the duller and more traitorous of them on your side, but I bet that most of them understood what they were swearing to uphold, too. "Shall not be infringed" isn't really all that difficult to grasp for most of us. Oh, and there are a LOT, like 40 or 50 million retired military and police out there who STILL take their oath seriously, (no such thing as a former Marine, and all) plus a lot of just ordinary folks who agree with them. Be careful what you let your stupid mouth get you into, Bobby Boy.

The real question is, will the next Dem POTUS (may it never again be so) uphold and defend THE Body of Laws, our Constitution and Bill of RIGHTS? Every Dem candidate is out there pounding the podium asserting, threatening, that they are going to do one thing or another, whether we like it or not. As it is for any authoritarian totalitarian triple-A control freak, the Constitution is an obstacle, an archaic triviality, because they've got the secret password to the secret knowledge of how to build the Utopia. Therefore, anything and everything they need to do they must do and all things are permissible (once the True Truth standard is demolished, Thus spake the Grand Inquisitor). Reflect on President Trump. Unlike so many of the Dem politicians at every level, Donald Trump has never demeaned the American people, the voters. He has never threatened to deny or diminish our Constitutional Rights. In fact, he joyfully proclaims his love for the American people and our country. Therefore, the contrast is dramatic. All of the Dems, from Hillary to the local municipal toady are teensy little petty people stomping their feet, punching their soft and moist fists at the sky, screeching their vulgarities. Oh pray and pray that the lying liars are exposed and the Republic prevails.

At the national level, bipartisan civility has given way to guerrilla politics. The protracted divide among elected officials has caused the memory of cooperation for the common good of America to slip quietly into the shadows. Taking its place is an electorate directed by an extreme polarization in party leadership. The goal of the left is the retention and achievement of more political power while the right strives to keep the campaign promises made by Donald Trump. The political process has stalled, maybe fully fractured, and the message being received by voters is “the citizenry be damned.”

At 8:00 that evening, candidate Lincoln delivered his famous "House Divided" speech, during which he warned the nation about slavery's destructive effect on the Union. If we could first know where we are, and whither we are tending, we could then better judge what to do, and how to do it. We are now far into the fifth year, since a policy [the Kansas-Nebraska Act] was initiated, with the avowed object, and confident promise, of putting an end to the slavery agitation.

Bush, who led the United States into war across the Middle East, attacked President Trump on Wednesday night, saying U.S. intervention is necessary “for the sake of peace” around the globe. During a panel alongside former President Bill Clinton at the Nir School of the Heart, Bush laid into Trump for his recent decision to withdraw up to 1,000 American troops from northeast Syria — fulfilling his longheld campaign promise to bring troops home after more than a decade of war. “An isolationist United States is destabilizing around the world,” Bush said, according to the Washington Post‘s Josh Rogin.

The city of San Francisco has added 22 states with laws limiting abortion access to a blacklist that prevents city employees from traveling to those states on the city’s dime or dealing with businesses based in them. The ban will take effect on January 1, 2020. “We are standing up against states that put women’s health at risk and that are actively working to limit reproductive freedoms,” said Mayor London Breed in a press release announcing the ban. “By limiting travel and contracting with certain states, we are sending a clear message to states that disregard the right to abortion.”

I wrote here about the riot that occurred in downtown Minneapolis during and after President Trump’s rally last Thursday night. Trump supporters were assaulted, their vehicles were blocked, police officers and police horses were attacked, and so on. This video, filmed by Alpha News, shows how violent and disgusting the “protest” by liberal Democrats was: [video] You might think that in the aftermath of such appalling lawlessness, mainstream Democratic politicians would rush to denounce the violence. In fact, to my knowledge, not a single Minnesota Democrat has criticized what you saw in that video. At least one Democratic legislator, Aisha Gomez, participated in the riot, and several others

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan had a simple response to President Trump’s Oct. 9 letter warning him against taking action along the Syrian border: He threw it “in the bin.” Sources close to Erdogan confirmed to the BBC Thursday that the Turkish strongman “thoroughly rejected” the letter in which Trump threatened to “[destroy] the Turkish economy” if he took military action in Syria following his announcement several days earlier to withdraw all U.S. troops from the northeast of Syria.

President Trump faced criticism on social media and from journalists after claiming the United States has a "shared political and cultural history" with Italy because of ancient Rome. During a press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Trump noted that Italy and the U.S. are bound together through shared ties to the ancient city, saying, "The United States and Italy are bound together by a shared cultural and political heritage dating back thousands of years to ancient Rome." The Founding Fathers of the U.S. had a well-documented affinity for the Roman republic, evidence of which is prevalent in American representative government and civic architecture.
