I wrote here about the riot that occurred in downtown Minneapolis during and after President Trump’s rally last Thursday night. Trump supporters were assaulted, their vehicles were blocked, police officers and police horses were attacked, and so on. This video, filmed by Alpha News, shows how violent and disgusting the “protest” by liberal Democrats was: [video] You might think that in the aftermath of such appalling lawlessness, mainstream Democratic politicians would rush to denounce the violence. In fact, to my knowledge, not a single Minnesota Democrat has criticized what you saw in that video. At least one Democratic legislator, Aisha Gomez, participated in the riot, and several others

NBA superstar LeBron James says Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey was “misinformed” and “wasn’t educated on the situation at hand” when he tweeted in support of Hong Kong’s freedom demonstrations. Morey’s sin was sharing an image of a slogan that read, “Fight for freedom. Stand with Hong Kong.” Even though the GM, regrettably, deleted his tweet, one strongly suspects his grasp of China— where the state is running “re-education” camps filled with Uyghurs—is considerably stronger than any of the NBA’s leading apologists.
Only last year, James, a purported champion of social justice, came out in support of former quarterback Colin Kaepernick with the vacuous platitude,

A couple of years ago, a retired teacher who stays in close touch with history teachers across Texas told me something disturbing. Like most states, Texas has standardized testing. Unlike most states, Texas requires public school students to study Texas history in the 4th and 7th grades. Texas history is red in tooth and claw and full of big personalities and big ideas. Standardized testing is forcing teachers to drop about half of the second semester of Texas history to focus on U.S. history -- not to deepen students' understanding of American history, but to teach to the standardized tests.
This, according to my friend, shortchanges

A new report by the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee reaffirms what the White House refuses to accept: Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help then-candidate Donald Trump and to hurt his presidential rivals. The findings are alarming for the breadth of Russia’s operation, the Kremlin’s direct involvement and the ongoing threat posed by foreign meddling to American democracy. But perhaps more than anything, the report amounts to a bipartisan rebuke of the White House’s own disinformation campaign to shift the blame away from Russia. The committee, chaired by Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., released a second report this week that furthered the findings of America’s intelligence community

Going solar isn’t necessarily any protection from California’s new “planned” power outages, and local residents and business are enduring a lot more than just a few inconveniences.
Bloomberg’s Chris Martin has a story on California’s troubles with one of my favorite headlines ever: “Californians Learning That Solar Panels Don't Work in Blackouts.” Apparently, many of California’s would-be Earth-savers had no idea that just putting solar panels on their roofs doesn’t mean they’ll have power when PG&E switches it off. As Martin explains:
"Most panels are designed to supply power to the grid -- not directly to houses. During the heat of the day, solar systems can crank out

The men and women of science are supposed to be rational, sober professionals. Yet a few hundred have decided to behave as rabble, having been overtaken by global warming hysteria.
Reuters reported Saturday that “almost 400 scientists have endorsed a civil disobedience campaign aimed at forcing governments to take rapid action to tackle climate change.” The objective is to warn the rest of us “that failure could inflict ‘incalculable human suffering.’”
To say these activist-researchers have broken “with the caution traditionally associated with academia to side with peaceful protesters courting arrest” is almost an understatement. They have chosen to align themselves with the Extinction Rebellion,

A notorious British pedophile who was handed 22 life sentences for abusing 22 children in Malaysia — and up to 200 during a seven-year spree — has been stabbed to death in a prison in England, according to reports.
Richard Huckle, 33, was found dead Sunday inside his cell at the Full Sutton Prison in North Yorkshire, according to Sky News.
He was jailed in June 2016 after admitting to the horrific crimes against children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years from 2006 to 2014.
Huckle pleaded guilty to 71 offenses involving 22 children, but it is believed there were many more victims throughout Southeast Asia.

The time for President Trump to take action on ANTIFA in labeling the organization an international terrorist organization is long overdue. It is an international terrorist group, since it also operates in many European countries as well as the United Kingdom aside from the US. ANTIFA is only part of a much larger spiderweb of anti-American terrorist groups, all founded and organized by Barack H. Obama and run via the central organization known as Organizing For Action. ANTIFA along with Black Lives Matter, MoveOn.org, the ACLU, and Planned Parenthood, just to name a few are all part of the massive Obama organized and managed sphere of influence,

Appearing on CBS's Face The Nation Sunday morning, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff essentially conceded that there was no quid pro quo between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky by saying "there doesn't need to be a quid pro quo." "We have discovered in short order not only the contents of that call, but also the preparatory work that went into the call. The effort to condition something the Ukrainian president deeply sought, and that was a meeting with the president to establish that this new president of Ukraine had a powerful patron in the president of the United States that was of vital importance to Ukraine,

The September 26, 2019 edition of the Washington Times included an article, NYC bans calling someone an 'illegal alien' or threatening to contact ICE that began with the following excerpt:
"New York City has made it against the law to call someone an “illegal alien” or threaten them by calling immigration officials on them.
City Hall’s Commission on Human Rights released the new measures this week that could pose up to a $250,000 fine.
The restrictions say the term “alien” — typically used to refer to a noncitizen — is a loaded phrase meant to categorize migrants as 'other' and dehumanize them."

What the Democrats fear most is happening: President Trump and his negotiating team are reaching wide-ranging agreements with China that will be a huge boon to the United States.
In an Oval Office press conference yesterday, President Trump and China’s Vice Premier announced a Phase 1 set of agreements that will be documented over the next several weeks. The video of the press conference is embedded below; Trump’s performance was masterful. His many years of experience as a negotiator shine through.
The Phase 1 agreement covers several important topics, including agricultural sales. China has agreed to ramp up its purchases of agricultural products to $40-$50 billion

There are a number of things that climate activists don’t want the rest of us to do, like eating meat and flying on airplanes. They seem to have decided that discouraging flying is a better bet than compulsory vegetarianism, so several European countries are moving in that direction.
In Sweden, the government “is considering making it mandatory for travel companies to declare the climate impact of their long-haul trips.”
"The companies should inform customers of the climate impact of long-haul trips when advertising or selling tickets, the government said on Friday."
It would be interesting to see how they would do this, since no one has any idea
Comments:
When science and politics hook up, science dies. If the radical Greens prevail, they will inflict iincalculable human suffering by sending humanity back to pre-Industrial Revolution days. And some of them like that mentally ill little girl Thuneberg appear to want to go to war to have their way.
