Anchor Shepard Smith exited Fox News after being sick of clashing with his primetime colleagues, sources claim.
Smith, who has been the network's most vocal critic of President Trump, requested a way out of his $15million a year contract after growing tired of being attacked by other hosts, a Fox insider tells the Daily Beast.
Most recently, Smith was openly mocked by Tucker Carlson on his show for calling an attack on one their colleagues 'repugnant.'

Let me get this straight, Shep. You started the rhubarb with the conservative night crew, and now you take a powder when they call you out. You're nothing but a whiny little beotch.

Now if they would eliminate juan Williams maybe I wouldn’t have to listen to anybody being stupid on fox other than d brazier and other dim operatives.
By the juan should get an oscar for his performance evincing how deeply hurt and shocked he was when trump called the awol hunter bi.den a loser.
Hey give me all the money he got and trump is welcome to call me a loser and it would be true- even though i, unlike biden, wouldn’t have sold out my country.

To OP: That was a $15M multi-year contract, not $15M/year which would have been an outrage. As for Shep, I wish I could say I won't miss him, because you can't miss what you've never seen.

Hmmm. Shep gets the axe one day after Barr visits Murdoch.
Trump didn't like it when Judge Nap said he'd broken the law and was guilty. Neither did I.
I'm with #3. I am on viewer who flips channels when mouth foaming Juan is on the show.

Smith was supposed to be doing straight news, but he wasn't. He was inserting his liberal opinions. That's why he got called out by the OPINION hosts on in prime time. If he wanted to do liberal opinion he should have asked for his own show properly labeled. Then see who watched. He will probably end up at MSNBC where he will fit right in.

Poor little Sheppie. No sympathy here. I don't expect Fox to make a good choice for a replacement given their lurch leftward. OAN is a far better source for straight news.

This is the Daily Mail, a useless, liberal rag that pushes sympathy for all things liberal and whose association with the truth is minimal at best. Take anything that comes out of the DM with a hefty dose of suspicion or downright disdain.

The little twit could dish out the tongue lashings but couldn’t take one.
Good riddance. I quit watching him after his pearl clutching hysteria during Katrina. (there’s a reason he lost his evening time slot. Wish I’d been a fly on the wall when that happened.)
So pompous and self-righteous.
Intolerable.
PS: The effusive praise from his colleagues was a bit thick also. Couldn’t help but smirk when I read them.

He was not an anchor. He was a news reader whose job it was to report on breaking news. He was not supposed to be an editorial opinion reporter. He was not supposed to attack his colleagues on the network who might have expressed opposing opinions. Opinion was not supposed to be his thing.
Just the facts, Shep. He couldn’t pull that off. Go home and pound your pillow...

Shepards boyfriend is a Fox Business producer, I think Shep leaving has more to do with this than anything else, particularly with all the male/female partnering issues over the last couple of years.. Shep has definitely been more outspoken with his liberal opinions in recent months, and how he handle Nap was out of character. Megyn went left before she left, it opens up more opportunities, so he adopted that strategy too.

I think they have been grooming Leland Vitert for this spot for some time. Vitert is handsome, smart, and hates Trump as much as Smith. He has spent enough time doing stand ups in the field for Fox to make him pass for a journalist.
If they were smart they would give this spot to Steve Hilton or Bill Hemmer but I don't think they're are trying to be smart, they are trying to pull in more liberals during the day when more women are watching. Handsome and liberal sounds like a winner to the suits at Fox.

Smith is an opinion columnist, not a journalist. Everything Trump has said in the last three years, Smith has immediately opened his mouth to discredit him. That's not journalism. Then when Nappy, the parking ticket judge from New Jersey, told us Trump was breaking the law by doing his job investigating government corruption, Smith started to foam at the mouth. With his ratings in the toilet, that was enough for Fox. Shep asked to leave without a bootprint on his butt. Fox graciously let him go. There will be book with a big advance that no one will read. Whoopi will ask searching questions. Here is the deal, folks: the USA is aging. More and more people are growing into being Republicans. Can you imaging what Trump is going to accomplish with Congressional support? Once the Insane Clown Posse is out of power, imagine what we can accomplish together.
