Anchor Shepard Smith exited Fox News after being sick of clashing with his primetime colleagues, sources claim. Smith, who has been the network's most vocal critic of President Trump, requested a way out of his $15million a year contract after growing tired of being attacked by other hosts, a Fox insider tells the Daily Beast. Most recently, Smith was openly mocked by Tucker Carlson on his show for calling an attack on one their colleagues 'repugnant.'

Comments:

I could put up with a lot of abuse for $15 million per year.

Now if they would eliminate juan Williams maybe I wouldn’t have to listen to anybody being stupid on fox other than d brazier and other dim operatives. By the juan should get an oscar for his performance evincing how deeply hurt and shocked he was when trump called the awol hunter bi.den a loser. Hey give me all the money he got and trump is welcome to call me a loser and it would be true- even though i, unlike biden, wouldn’t have sold out my country.

Smith was supposed to be doing straight news, but he wasn't. He was inserting his liberal opinions. That's why he got called out by the OPINION hosts on in prime time. If he wanted to do liberal opinion he should have asked for his own show properly labeled. Then see who watched. He will probably end up at MSNBC where he will fit right in.

The little twit could dish out the tongue lashings but couldn’t take one. Good riddance. I quit watching him after his pearl clutching hysteria during Katrina. (there’s a reason he lost his evening time slot. Wish I’d been a fly on the wall when that happened.) So pompous and self-righteous. Intolerable. He was not an anchor. He was a news reader whose job it was to report on breaking news. He was not supposed to be an editorial opinion reporter. He was not supposed to attack his colleagues on the network who might have expressed opposing opinions. Opinion was not supposed to be his thing. Just the facts, Shep. He couldn’t pull that off. Shepards boyfriend is a Fox Business producer, I think Shep leaving has more to do with this than anything else, particularly with all the male/female partnering issues over the last couple of years.. Shep has definitely been more outspoken with his liberal opinions in recent months, and how he handle Nap was out of character. Megyn went left before she left, it opens up more opportunities, so he adopted that strategy too.

I think they have been grooming Leland Vitert for this spot for some time. Vitert is handsome, smart, and hates Trump as much as Smith. He has spent enough time doing stand ups in the field for Fox to make him pass for a journalist. If they were smart they would give this spot to Steve Hilton or Bill Hemmer but I don't think they're are trying to be smart, they are trying to pull in more liberals during the day when more women are watching. Handsome and liberal sounds like a winner to the suits at Fox.

Smith is an opinion columnist, not a journalist. Everything Trump has said in the last three years, Smith has immediately opened his mouth to discredit him. That's not journalism. Then when Nappy, the parking ticket judge from New Jersey, told us Trump was breaking the law by doing his job investigating government corruption, Smith started to foam at the mouth. With his ratings in the toilet, that was enough for Fox. Shep asked to leave without a bootprint on his butt. Fox graciously let him go. There will be book with a big advance that no one will read. Whoopi will ask searching questions. Here is the deal, folks: the USA is aging. More and more people are growing into being Republicans. Can you imaging what Trump is going to accomplish with Congressional support? Once the Insane Clown Posse is out of power, imagine what we can accomplish together.

It is one of the ironies of the trial of President Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection that the remarks most likely to be studied by historians is the speech delivered after the verdict — not guilty — was brought in. It was after the Senate ordered the outcome be sent for safekeeping with the Secretary of State, and the court of impeachment was adjourned, that Senator Mitch McConnell unloaded. His speech is likely to go down as one of the most remarkable ever delivered in the Senate.

The Wyoming Republican Party voted overwhelmingly Saturday to censure U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney for voting to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Only eight of the 74-member state GOP's central committee stood to oppose censure in a vote that didn't proceed to a formal count. The censure document accused Cheney of voting to impeach even though the U.S. House didn't offer Trump 'formal hearing or due process.'

The vaccine rollout is not going as planned. Since mid-December, the U.S. has distributed 21.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines; fewer than one-third have actually made it into people’s arms. The problems have been many and varied: holiday delays, scheduling scams, long lines in some places, and not enough demand in others. These initial kinks are getting worked out, but that alone will not get us back to normal anytime soon. The next phase of the vaccine campaign—reaching tens of millions of elderly people and essential workers, along with the rest of the community—will be even harder.

President Biden on Monday seemed to forget Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s name at a White House event—calling the Pentagon chief “the guy who runs that outfit over there.” Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals to lead US military combatant commands. “And I want to thank the sec—the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my—the guy who runs that outfit over there,” Biden said.(Snip) Earlier at the event, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while appearing to read from a teleprompter.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
