KYIV (Ukraine) – Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden received $900,000 for lobbying activities from Burisma Group, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada member Andriy Derkach said citing investigation materials.
Derkach publicized documents which, as he said, "describe the mechanism of getting money by Biden Sr." at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine's press center in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"This was the transfer of Burisma Group's funds for lobbying activities, as investigators believe, personally to Joe Biden through a lobbying company. Funds in the amount of $900,000 were transferred to the U.S.-based company Rosemont Seneca Partners, which according to open sources, in particular, the New York Times, is affiliated with Biden. I'll bet if the auditors were to check Rosemont's books they would find there is a lot more than $900,000 that went into Biden's pockets.

Remember hearing Old Joe, say for years...how he was the "poorest" member of Congress..I just knew the first time I heard that it was bull..........there are probably a lot of other Congress Critters who are tallying up how much they had or are getting to see if he got more than they did..After all, being a VP does have it's perks!!! I think him saying that..and it has to be out there in cyberspace..it would make a fabulous ad..

Unfortunately, #15, some of those rocks would reveal rotten Republicans as well. Until we impose term limits on Congress, these people will get to DC, find out how lucrative it is, and make re-election their number one priority. This, along with Supreme Court justices for life, could be termed a mistake by our otherwise far-sighted Founding Fathers.

I'm missing something. Lack of coffee??? Poor journalism???
The article was published October 9, yesterday. The sequence stating the transfer went to Rosemont Senaca Partners seem to be during the time Joe was still vice president. Much of the funds transferred to Hunter were in 2014 through 2016 or so when Joe was still VP. I've scanned three articles yet I have found no actual date when this took place. It appears it was when he was still VP but this article says it went to "former" VP. That doesn't make it clear as it is referring to his present status but not when he received the funds.
Can someone make this clear?

Re #12, the $900,000 went to Joe via the lobbying firm. Read paragraphs 3 and 4.
Re #14, this is the Ukrainian news agency’s report on the press conference where this was revealed. This report is the basis for the other reports you are seeing today. That’s all we have right now.
If you think about it, why would they have paid $900,000 to a “former vice president" when what they were looking for was clout? Joe was only a “former vice president” as of inauguration day in January 2017. As of then, he had zero influence with the U. S. government.

If you read this, it seems pretty clear that the monies paid to Joe Biden (not Hunter) for his services would have been when he was still vice president:
"Using political and economic levelers of influencing Ukrainian authorities and manipulating the issue of providing financial aid to Ukraine, Joe Biden actively assisted closing criminal cases into the activity of former Ukrainian Ecology Minister Mykola Zlochevsky, who is the founder and owner of Burisma Group," he said.
"Biden's fifth visit to Kyiv on December 7-8, 2015 was devoted to making a decision on the resignation of [then Ukrainian Prosecutor General] Viktor Shokin over the case of Zlochevsky and Burisma. Loan guarantees worth $1 billion that the United States was to give to Ukraine was the point of pressure. Biden himself admitted exerting pressure in his speech at the Council of Foreign Relations in January 2018, calling Shokin 'son of a b***h who was fired'," Derkach said.
The timeline of events proves that the U.S. linked the Zlochevsky case to loan guarantees, he said.
Vice President Joe Biden himself made at least 5 trips to the Ukraine to deal with this, the fifth visit in 2015. Doesn’t that seem unusual for a U. S. vice president?

The $900,000 number just gave me a thought.
Joe Biden should setup a 900 number for anyone that wants to buy his influence.
1-900-BUYBIDEN!!!
$5000 for the first minute. $2000/minute for US callers. $3000/minute for foreign callers. Must be over 18.

In some circles this is known as double-dipping, bribery or borderline treason. In Old Joe's case it was just politics. Mitch McConnell, Hillary Clinton, Bob Menendez, Dianne Feinstein, John McCain, Barack Obama, all rode that same boat in one way or another.

Joe Biden was Barack Obama’s “sidekick” for eight years. During that time, that crew sent a billion and a half dollars in cash from Europe to Iran in the middle of the night. Since that money was cash, it probably cannot be traced with any accuracy as no detailed bank records of that transaction are known to exist. As it stands now, who is to say that big kickbacks involving that money were not covertly and unlawfully laundered back to the top level Obama crew by foreign sources, since nobody with any go-power has looked?

#20 - Agreed. But it wasn't the Founders who made a mistake. The government they gave us (after much prayer for divine intervention) had a caveat. Witness:
John Adams in a speech to the military in 1798 warned his fellow countrymen stating, "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
Benjamin Rush, Signer of the Declaration of Independence said: "[T]he only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be aid in religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments. Without religion, I believe that learning (education) does real mischief to the morals and principles of mankind."
James Wilson, Signer of the Constitution; U. S. Supreme Court Justice: "Human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the authority of that law which is divine. . . . Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants. Indeed, these two sciences run into each other."
Gouverneur Morris, Penman and Signer of the Constitution: "[F]or avoiding the extremes of despotism or anarchy . . . the only ground of hope must be on the morals of the people. I believe that religion is the only solid base of morals and that morals are the only possible support of free governments. [T]herefore education should teach the precepts of religion and the duties of man towards God."
Noah Webster, author of the first American Speller and the first Dictionary stated, "The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. . . All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."
Noah Webster, again: " . . . and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence."
George Washington, General of the Revolutionary Army, president of the Constitutional Convention, First President of the United States of America, Father of our nation, "Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society."
Source: https://www.catholiceducation.org/en/culture/history/misquoting-our-founding-fathers.html .
Our educational, political, social and legal policy makers have been casting off the restraints of religion since the 1960's. IMHO, Religion and morality are gradually fading as the essential pillars of our society. If the leftists have their way, the republic that the Founders gave us will disappear under a thick blanket of lies, deception and fear.
