If the Trump administration continues to not cooperate with Congressional investigations, the president could be impeached on that alone, top Democrats threatened on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference Wednesday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff reaffirmed Democrats’ new stance that they’ll consider any resistance from the administration as “further evidence of obstruction.”
“Of course that was an article of impeachment against President Nixon,” the California Democrat said.
For his part, Mr. Trump said Wednesday he was willing to go along with Democrats, but it’s not clear how far that cooperation will extend.

PDJT is an amateur stonewaller, and may even be a virgin stonewaller.
Unlike Felonia von Pantsuit (hat tip Kurt), who has taken stonewalling to an art form.
Idiot.

LOL! Hilarious.
They really ARE getting desperate, starting to realize that they are holding a pair of deuces, a four, a nine
and a queen in this hand of poker, and have bet their whole stash on this losing hand.
The queen is Pelosi and she doesn't even count. The two deuces are Schiffer-brains and Nadler-the-Hut.

Whoa. I am no lawyer, but I believe the Congressional committee would have to be investigating a suspected crime - a very specific crime - not just on a fishing expedition. This is far too open-ended to be legal…especially when it is part of a coup to remove the duly elected President.

Whistleblowing, stonewalling, yada yada -- word games for public consumption and manipulation, definitions being fluid and capricious.

It's too rich that the democrats are seeking impeachment of PDJT for looking into... corruption! If it weren't so sad, pathetic, and anti-democratic, it would be hilarious.

This is how the KGB under Beria operated for Stalin-they manufacture the crime & the evidence. "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime," Beria is quoted as saying. The Democrats have actually become the KGB.

How about breathing? Maybe that's grounds for Impeachment! Or maybe that Red Tie he always wears. That's probably a secret code to a foreign government, so it's also grounds for Impeachment! WOW! We're getting into the Weeds! What are the Dems smoking?

They should just admit that President Trump threatens their deep state future and they are going to try and get rid of him by any means available.

Mr. Shiff, can I call you 'Pencil NecK? By your actions in your committee, coordinating with and facilitating a third hand rumor into a blown up manufacture in your attempts to derail the will of the voters, you have attempted a coup and have committed treason. Are you prepared to change your name to Stretched Neck? I'm sure you're worthy of it.

I’m waiting for the Dems to declare breathing a high crime worthy of impeachment. Then they’ll have PDJT for sure.

The sad reality is that the dems don't even need a reason. They can get together and if they can convince a majority to vote yes, they can vote for impeachment. Serious people would never consider this but we already know dems are not serious. Eventually they would face the judgement of the American People on election day but that wouldn't stop the fools now. They are pretty crazy and have no ethics or morals. When the Republicans take over the House, if they have 2/3 of the seats, I think they should vote to expel by the procedures of Article I, Section 5, which provides "Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members ... Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

Meant to conclude - expel all members that voted for a senseless impeachment.

As Andrew McCarthy has pointed out today this is not a legal impeachment inquiry, this hearing is a made for TV campaign ad for the Democratic party. The Constitution made clear for very good historical reasons that the President as head of the Executive Branch is not subject to the political harassment tactics of the Legislative Branch. Unless they take and record a vote of each member, as they have in every other case of this type in history, the proceedings lack any investigative power including the power to see and review all evidence and witnesses and to subpoena documents or testimony.
The evidence from Kurt Volker today confirmed there was no quid pro quo involved in the discussion between Trump and Zelevsky. In fact, as John Soloman has pointed out in his reporting, the Ukraine justice system had already formally opened an investigation into the 2016 election meddling and the Biden bribery scandal well before the call took place so there was no favor to give. Trump was just making sure that Zelevsky knew that we knew the extent of the corruption in his country.

Childish threats. Ther are about 40 seriously nervous Dems in the House that have no chance of reelection if the Dems contiune this insanity. Yet, I don't for one nanosecond believe the Dems will have a moment of sanity and stop this. The key power players, Naci and other safe districts Dems don't care about power, they care about the moeny they can raise with thier insanity and how rich it will make them without doing anything productive. Its a great gig if you can get it!
