Sen. Robert Menendez, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, on Wednesday called for Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to recuse himself from Ukraine-related matters. “The American people need to have confidence that the nation’s chief diplomat is making decisions based on the national interest — not to advance a partisan political agenda,” the New Jersey Democrat wrote in a letter to Mr. Pompeo. “Recusal is the only option at this point to prevent further erosion of the integrity of the U.S. foreign policy.” Mr. Menendez also demanded the secretary of state refrain from participating in any decisions regarding Ukraine foreign policy or foreign assistance.

This is not news, since President Trump was elected the leftist and liberal Democrats have wanted the entire Trump Administration to recuse themselves from everything, and allow the Democrats to run the show. That’s not why the voters sent Trump to DC, and it is not going to happen.

Menendez can go rot. The left had many suspicious activities run through the State Department during the Obama years, and they don't want anyone finding them. Pompeo wouldn't be doing his job if he recused himself. Hope he doesn't fall for this. If he did, President Trump would be within his rights to fire him.

No one in Trumps Cabinet is recusing themselves from anything. They all saw what happened to Sessions. He let himself be browbeat by a bunch of liberal lawyers into recusing himself from the Russian Hoax investigation because he once met the Russian Ambassador at a cocktail party. All so Rosenstein could take it over. Pathetic. It won’t happen again. Menendez is a sleaze and needs to STFU.

On Monday, the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) admitted that it did alter its forms and policies governing whistleblower complaints, and that it did so in response to the anti-Trump complaint filed on Aug. 12, 2019. The Federalist first reported the sudden changes last Friday. While many in the media falsely claimed the ICIG’s stunning admission debunked The Federalist’s report, the admission from the ICIG completely affirmed the reporting on the secretive change to whistleblower rules following the filing of an anti-Trump complaint in August. Remember when Sen. Chuck Schumer, in response to criticism President Trump leveled at the Intelligence Community, retorted with this? "Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you," Schumer told MSNBC's host Rachel Maddow. Turns out that's an understatement, as the Federalist's Sean Davis has now uncovered in a truly outrageous report. We already know that the Intelligence Community's inspector general (IGIC) office mysteriously changed its rules for anyone filing a whistleblower complaint to not needing to have one's information firsthand just before the famed whistleblower filed his report sometime around August.

Democrats have opened Pandora's Box by taking up the subject of election influence coming from Ukraine. They seized upon the conversation between President Trump and Ukraine's President Zelensky, leaked by a Deep State operative embedded in the White House to someone claiming the status of whistleblower as the basis for their public impeachment hoax. It is a hoax for three reasons: Because no actual impeachment committee has been established, as that would require their vulnerable members from districts Trump carried in 2016 to take an actual position on a dodgy impeachment enterprise. Because Trump said nothing wrong in his conversation.

There is no impeachment inquiry. There are no subpoenas. You are not to be faulted if you think a formal inquest is under way and that legal process has been issued. The misimpression is completely understandable if you have been taking in media coverage — in particular, reporting on a haughty Sept. 27 letter from House Democrats, presuming to direct Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on pain of citation for obstruction, to cooperate in their demands to depose State Department officials and review various records. The letter is signed by not one but three committee chairmen. Remember your elementary math, though: Zero is still zero even when multiplied by three.
