Stung by a public outcry, Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin C. Roessler Jr. announced Wednesday that he had canceled the suspension and restored to duty an officer who had turned an illegal immigrant over to ICE.
Chief Roessler said an investigation is still ongoing but he ended the officer’s suspension after a “procedural policy recommendation” as of Friday.
“We have one of the best police forces in the U.S. and I have confidence that our officer will represent us well throughout his career,” the chief said in a statement.
A day before he had announced the suspension and publicly shamed the officer, accusing him of breaking department policy by checking for warrants

Surprised one, that he was stunned, and two, that he canceled the suspension because of the outcry. A quality human being and manager does not make the kind of mistakes he made. The police chief is not a leader and should be demoted or suspended. Publicly shamed too!

#4, Hopefully, Americans are seeing the potential they have to make change in our country. While we have been living our lives, the left has been busy subverting our government and stealing our money. Americans are ticked off to finally know for sure what they have always believed. Our government is corrupt on so many levels that we must be the watch dogs that will insist on justice for everyone. Integrity must be at its very foundation.

Re #2, we can safely say PDJT is a Leader, Bowing to no one and no pressure they force on him.
Re #4, I have never marched before. But I will when the time comes. (Or more, if necessary)
Re Fairfax County. I used to live there and worked for the County for a number of years. They’ve been lilting left for a long time. They fancy themselves.

Sure he was reinstated..What's not said is that he was required (forced) to attend "additional training" prior to getting his job back.

Many thanks go to Larry O’Connor of DC’s WMAL talk radio for pushing this story until it exploded in Roessler’s face.

Many of Fairfax County residents are DC staff. They are deep state Dems and vote as such. The police chief won't be censured - he'll be given a raise.

Fairfax got advised by their own attorneys that they would lose when they were sued by this police officer for wrongful termination, millions of dollars, so they re-instated the officer. It was not because of public pressure, as leftists do not give a darn about their citizens.

This officer's career is now in the crosshairs. The Chief was forced to back down and retribution will now take place.

It is truly a shame that it took a public outcry to get Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin C. Roessler Jr.to do the right thing. He may have, "one of the best police forces in the U.S.," but that will not last long if he continues to suspend and publicly shamed officers for doing a good job.

So illegal aliens and Democrats have more rights than the rest of us. I love how these immigrants communities spokespeople claim they're looking out for their immigrant communities when those very same immigrants are usually the victims of these illegal alien criminals.
Re#9 - Larry O'Connor has also ben doing great work on the travesty that is Montgomery County and their policy of kissing illegal alien rear ends at the expense of their own US citizens.

This Idiot Police Chief believes what he watches on CNN. It reminds me of when Rosie was sure that people were being paid to attend Trump rallies. Chris Hays convinced me that he was surprised that Biden was getting drug in to the Ukraine mess. It's a heck of a bubble they live in.

Great comments here. Fairfax County is a hotbed of liberal politicians and academics which would explain such un-American policies as protection of illegal immigrants who commit crimes. This chief is a wishy-washy politician who needs to be replaced by a real man (or woman).

But, their point is made. No other officers will "step out of line" and support ICE in the future, I'll wager.

Fairfax County has been in competition with Montgomery County, across the Potomac, since DC was formed. In recent years it was for which could make the better public school system, then it was for which could degrade its schools more on the altar of Political Correctness, now it’s in a race to the bottom as to which can bend over more for illegal aliens. [The switch between the first and the latter two, for Montgomery at least, coincided with the Democrats displacing the Republicans in the County government.] I doubt the instant instance signals a Fairfax sea change; more like a temporary pause until public attention is diverted. Heck, an actual illegal alien rape epidemic hasn’t deterred Montgomery in the slightest. They must consider Fairfax a bunch of weak sisters.

If I'm stopped by a officer in Fairfax Co, I'll claim I have no license and no habla Ingles. Fair chance I'll be let go.

Yes, #15. I used to live near Purcellville and listened to WMAL all day. I now live in South Carolina but still listen on my iPad. Love their weekday line-up. Chris Plante, Rush and Larry. Also, my daughter still lives in the area and I like to keep up on what is happening there.

I lost all confidence in the Fairfax cops with this trick. The Chief has to go.
These leftwing lunatics regularly figure out ways to turn Americans into second class citizens in their own country.
If I were in an accident here and had no ID, no insurance, no drivers license, and was drunk on top of that, with outstanding warrants from all over, the Chief of Police would have me held in the lockup!
Some illegal alien shows up with no ID, no insurance, no drivers license, and is drunk, and he's a hero to the Chief of Police.
Been putting off the day of reckoning, but I think we are going to have to outfit the whole family with appropriate firearms to carry with them at all times because the local cops sure the heck aren't to be depended on.
