Conservative activist Scott Presler continued to deliver on his pledge to clean up Democrat-led cities across the country. He tackled his biggest project yet on Saturday. Wearing hazmat suits, he and a group of 200 volunteers spent nine hours removing 50 tons of garbage from an L.A. homeless camp. The photographs show a remarkable transformation. In the video below, Presler shows what the camp looked like before they went to work. Yes, this is a real homeless camp in Los Angeles. @realDonaldTrump #LosAngelesCleanup — #ThePersistence (@ScottPresler) September 21, 2019 Nine hours later, the results speak for themselves.

Where was feckless Dim Mayor Eric Garcetti? At the beach, soaking up rays? On a golf course somewhere? Presler is headed out to clean up Baltimore October 5.

I'm proud of them, but also have mixed emotions. I kind of think the liberal voters need to understand the end results of their stupid voting practices. Let them wallow in filth, die of dysentery and plague, and maybe they'll catch a clue that they should vote for liberals. Helping them enables them to continue to vote stupid. They need tough love.

Liberal voters won't connect their votes with the consequences unless they're hip deep in them - as in garbage and feces everywhere, and medieval diseases coursing through their communities. I say let the stuff accumulate. It is the only way to get their attention.

Bravo and kudos, seriously. Point well-made if not taken by the Los Angeles libtards who never cared about this situation anyway. And here's the thing -- what happened to the dopers and sidewalk [blank]ers who squatted there 9 hours earlier? They're coming back, that's what; revisit this locale in two months if you don't believe it. For all his honorable work and intentions, all Scott really did was change an enormous diaper. I'm with #4 on this one. My beautiful desert city has deadbeats and druggies piling up right this minute; I can see what's on the horizon and it isn't good.

All of this is well and good but in a week it will be the same as before. As much as I applaud the effort, the people of California need to understand that their vote has consequences. Let them live in filth. Maybe they will wake up. Sometimes tough love is necessary.

Charitable; yes. Compassionate; yes. Practical; hardly. Didn't see anywhere in article what the property was to the city ~ an empty, abandoned, un-taxed lot, something LA allowed the homeless to squat on or privately owned? Authorities had to have known the waste and filth piling up and did the Alfred E. Neuman shrug. Why didn't city provide dumpsters and porta-pots to limit unsanitary impact to community? Doesn't LA have Waste Management like everyplace else in the country? Hacks me off to no end for grown ups to be in charge of cleaning up after brats and imbeciles. Pressler is a good guy, but should be helping those who TRULY cannot help themselves.

Former "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett was indicted Tuesday by a grand jury in Chicago after a special prosecutor re-investigated allegations he bogusly reported being the victim of a January 2019 hate-crime attack, officials said. Smollett, 37, was indicted on six counts related to making four separate false reports to Chicago Police Department officers, claiming he was the victim of a hate crime while "knowing he was not the victim of a crime," special prosecutor Dan Webb said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon. Webb was appointed by a Cook County judge to continue looking into the false allegations after the Cook County State’s Attorney Office dropped all charges against the actor.

Lawfare’s Benjamin Wittes, one of the media’s favorite Donald Trump antagonists, took to Twitter this weekend to pen a transcendently nonsensical thread comparing the firing of a handful of bureaucrats to the rounding up of political undesirables in the lead-up to the Holocaust. It’s wouldn’t be a huge deal, except that this kind of hysterical reaction has now been normalized in American discourse, illustrating that once-rational people have either lost all sense of history or are willing to belittle the past for short-term political gain. My bet is on the latter. (Snip) When fellow Hungarians came for my grandfather — he was one of the first to be deported

President Donald Trump had an unlikely ally in his fight against an anti-corruption lawsuit from congressional Democrats — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut is leading a coalition of 186 House members and 29 senators alleging the president has unlawfully profited from foreign patronage at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., in violation of an ethics provision in the Constitution called the foreign emoluments clause. A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit dismissed the lawsuit on Feb. 7 on technical grounds, relying in part on a 2019 Ginsburg opinion.

However, missing from the celebratory activities last week was one of Trump’s strongest, most consistent, and most loyal supporters – Roger Stone. Stone remains silenced under a federal court gag order that prevents him from publicly discussing anything about his conviction last November, even as he awaits sentencing for up to 25 years on February 20th. Two of the key witnesses in the Trump impeachment have been removed from their positions. Gordon Sondland is out as Ambassador to the European Union. Lt. Col Alexander Vindman has been reassigned from the National Security Council to the Pentagon. Democrats are crying foul, of course. But was it improper for Trump to take these personnel actions? Sondland’s case seems easy to me. Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President. Trump lost confidence in Sondland. Thus, his removal made sense. Vindman’s case is somewhat different and less easy for me. Unlike Sondland, he’s a career government employee and military man.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire -- For a brief moment, concerned looks crossed the faces of some Elizabeth Warren supporters gathered for her election-night event in a cavernous building near the Manchester airport. There were no TVs visible to most of the crowd -- a common feature for a struggling campaign that doesn't want the audience to see bad news. There was no warm-up speaker. At 8:20 p.m., facing a fourth-place finish in New Hampshire after a third-place showing a week ago in Iowa, Warren walked onstage without fanfare. She began by acknowledging that Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg "had strong nights."
