For more than 50 years Climate Alarmists in the scientific community and environmental movement have not gotten even one prediction correct, but they do have a perfect record of getting 41 predictions wrong.
In other words, on at least 41 occasions, these so-called experts have predicted some terrible environmental catastrophe was imminent … and it never happened.
(Snip)
the so-called experts are 0-41 with their predictions, but those of us who are skeptical of “expert” prediction number 42, the one that says that if we don’t immediately convert to socialism and allow Alexandria Ocasio-Crazy to control and organize our lives, the planet will become uninhabitable.

And what is an amazing record is that I have been right 41 times out of 41 as I called “Bull****” each time one of those predictions was made! Take a bow and collect $200, digger.

In fact, I'm thinking that we're gaining on the climate "world is gonna end" folks since President Trump took office. Let's do the math.
Pres. Trump took office in 2017. We'd been hearing that we had only 10 years left, well, for the last 10 or 20 years. But we'll give them we only had 10 years left in 2017, okay.
So now, it's 2019. AOC says we have 12 years left. Not only have we already extended our stay on this ball by 2 years, we had 2 years before then.
So, just in two years in office, President Trump has given us FOUR MORE YEARS that we wouldn't have. Isn't winning wonderful!

Scientists tell us that the polar ice caps formed a solid sheet of kilometers thick ice, extending from the North Pole down to about the middle of Nebraska until 10,000 years ago. I was up in Nebraska a couple of months ago.......and it is all gone.
My simplistic data plotting shows substantial global warming for the last 10,000 years. And nobody's factories, SUVs or plastic straws were the cause of that, I am certain.
Man has no effect on the global climate. It does what it does, and we better learn how to stay the hell out of it's way, because we sure as hell are not going to control it.

"CLIMATE EXPERTS"???? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
What an OXYMORON. Who dubbed them 'experts'? Other self-anointed 'experts'.
What a lying, messy RUSE.
Thank a TEACHER TODAY!

I was ten years old in 1967. I came home from school crying after another kid gave a report on Paul Ehrlich's prediction of worldwide famine by 1975 because there were too many people. I was so scared that my family would die and that I'd never get married or have kids.
My mother told me that people had been predicting horrible things about "over population" forever and that God directed us to have children and that if there was a shortage of food in one place the rest of the world would pitch in to help them. God would always be there for those who asked for his help. That's pretty much what happened.
When that teenager was testifying the other day about how we "can't understand" their stress and despair, worrying about the fate of the world in their lifetime. I wanted to tell them I get it, but God is still there, believe it or not, NOT ONE catastrophic prediction I feared has come true...and...I've been married 46 years, three kids and six grandkids, all on an Earth cleaner than it's been in decades.

Amazes me how I get two entirely different takes on Creeping Climate Change aka Global Luke Warming. On Luci I get all the examples of the failures of people with letters after their names and a government contract putting money in their pocket to predict anything. But on the alphabets tonight that 16 year old brat from Sweden was treated like Moses descending from a mountain top with tablets carved in stone by the almighty. One thing missing from this excellent list was everyone's favorite astronomer and popularizer of science Carl Sagan who said a few decades ago the Nuclear Winter was the greatest threat the human race had ever faced. Heard anything about Nuclear Winter lately? Why? There's no money in Nuclear Winter but Creeping Climate Change is the Goose that Keeps Laying Golden Eggs. The Green in going Green is moola. One of the idiot dims wants to spend $ 10 trillion to fight the dreaded Creeping Climate Change. I hope I can afford to move someplace where there are no windmills or solar panels.

I think I am a scientist—masters in both physics and math, Ph.D. in math. I've done a lot of mathematical modeling in a scientific career of over 50 years. The thing I've learned is not to fall in love with mathematical models of highly complex systems. There are often features of the system that are not accounted for in the model, and they can make its predictions worthless. Malthus sounded pretty good at the time. So did Paul Ehrlich and even Jay Forrester (until someone ran his model backward and found it "postdicted" disaster in 1900.) I suspect climate is a chaotic system, i.e. all the initial conditions need to be known with infinite precision to make a valid long term prediction. This is known as "the butterfly effect." If the weather is chaotic, why not climate? We don't really know a lot about some of the mechanisms that may be involved. The doomsayers could, by luck, be correct, but I wouldn't count on it. We can't even predict the economy for more than a few months!

#10. Yep. I have a couple of engineering degrees, did computer simulation of thermal and mechanical systems for 40+ years. Definitely have built a lot of simple and exceedingly complex models. The "climate models" are pathetically coarse grained and miss huge swaths of critical influence items. Whole systems are as yet unknown, and not part of the models. Plus, none of the cross coupling coefficients are anything other than SWAGs, or worse. No way to calibrate any of the coefficients, cannot do the required lab tests.
The only real output of the "climate models" is money and power for the modelers, charlatans of the first order, all of them. Only two possibilities - either they believe their models, and are therefore fools, or they know the models are bogus as hell, and are therefore liars. Fools or liars. Either way, ignore the climate modelers.

I'll make it simple: climate is not predictable. Nor is it historical.
I always shake my head when some article purports to describe what the climate was like a million years ago.
