A moratorium on the refugee resettlement program is “long overdue,” columnist Michelle Malkin says, after American communities have been forced to absorb hundreds of thousands of refugees from across the globe over the last four decades. (Snip) Malkin — whose latest book, Open Borders Inc: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction?, is now available — said she is encouraged by reports that the Trump administration is looking to halt the mass importation of refugees to the U.S. “This administration understands the threat that every one of these global compacts poses to American sovereignty, and of course, they are putting that understanding into action, and it’s very encouraging for me to hear plans

Some of those funding our destruction are our own churches, and non-profits with the sweetest sounding names.

I live in a very "refugee friendly" part of Idaho. Every time I see a Prius with a "Refugees Welcome" bumper sticker, I shake my head. I wish they were all refugees from Ireland so my remark would not be taken as a racist one. My observation is that they have many children and most of the adults do not work. If they do, they are meager jobs at best. Some have more than one wife with children; how does that work? The exception would be those who work in the meat packing industry or at the Chobani yogurt plant who earn better wages, however, that doesn't mitigate the cost the taxpayer if there are several children. I hate this to sound like a hateful rant, but I'm truly angry. I have cited many times before I have worked for 44+ years without a dime of assistance. Used saved money when I had my baby and couldn't work. And I couldn't afford to have more than one child, so I didn't. Paid all my own bills. There are a lot of older people with values like me. Guess times have changed, and I just need to move on.

#3, it would be fair and a good thing for your fellow Idahoans to find out why these people have been dropped in your State, hardly a climate they would be accustomed to. Like huge Somali groups sent to Minnesota and Maine, both with long, bitter winters... and mostly white. Michelle is a gem and a treasure. She always researches thoroughly and fearlessly. She has been ringing the alarm for a really long time.

#2- Not so. Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services(LIRS) began in 1939 as a response of American Lutherans wanting to help the needs of Europeans displaced because of World War II, with roots going back to the to help and protect Lutheran immigrants in the US.” Services have expanded to include “any refugees entering the US, support asylum seekers and migrants, and services to unaccompanied children(UACs).” It remains a faith-based organization with strong collaboration with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. For the record, there are three main Lutheran Synods in the States: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America(ELCA), Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod(LCMS), Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod(WELS). The ELCA is a liberal synod; LCMS and WELS are conservative synods. The ELCA dishonors Lutheranism. Sweeping statements about “Lutherans” or “Lutheran Churches” do a disservice to Lutherans not belonging to the liberal ELCA. Leadership of LIRS has changed, along with management and purpose. Not ALL Lutherans or ALL Catholic Charities are willing participants in violating the laws of our country. Most certainly those individuals and/or organizations violating the laws of our country should be held accountable. Conservative Lutherans welcome a moratorium on the refugee resettlement program.

Remember Skittles and iced-tea? In the aftermath of Trayvon Martin’s fatal confrontation with George Zimmerman, the media went to great pains to characterize the teenager as an innocent kid who was shot for wearing a hoodie while black. After all, this depiction fit their narrative—their narrative of a country filled with racist rednecks just waiting for a chance to shoot innocent and unarmed black teenagers.(Snip)With a mediocre economy, growing questions about the efficacy of Obamacare, and a lethargic base waking up from a hope hangover to find that the president had left them hanging on the change part, the media knew that President Obama couldn’t win on his record.

The alleged victim of a previously unreported claim of sexual misconduct by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh does not actually recall the incident — according to the same authors who published the claim Sunday. The New York Times‘ Robin Pogrebin & Kate Kelly reported Saturday,(Snip) We also uncovered a previously unreported story about Mr. Kavanaugh in his freshman year that echoes Ms. [Deborah] Ramirez’s allegation. However, critics soon noted that the book itself refutes the allegation because the alleged victim reportedly does not even recall the event.

In the interview, Holder expressed disagreement with some 2020 Democrat candidate proposals to make illegally entering the U.S. a civil rather than a criminal offense.

Teams of dog handlers from the U.S., Canada and Belgium are uncovering more and more dead bodies among the debris of Bahamas homes hit by Hurricane Dorian, the Health Ministry said. The Category 5 storm was so powerful that it drowned people who had been seeking refuge in their attics, swept others out to sea, and crushed steel-reinforced concrete structures, according to Health Minister Duane Sands. “To imagine the combination of 200 mph winds, a 20-25 foot sea surge, torrential rain, the power out, communications out and you have, and this is no cliche, a perfect storm,” Sands said in a phone interview Wednesday.

Andrew McCabe’s defense attorney, Michael Bromwich (also the attorney for ‘beach friend’ Christine Blasey-Ford in the Kavanaugh narrative), leaks his communication with U.S. Attorney for DC, Jessie Liu, to the New York Times.Leaks to the NYT and WaPo are how the Lawfare alliance push their narrative. In a quite admission of food dependency, China purchased 600,000 tonnes of soybeans yesterday (link), and simultaneously announced that U.S. pork and soybean imports would be exempt from further tariff increases. The surface message Beijing is selling, surrounds their magnanimous panda narrative of reaching out to diminish trade friction. However, below the surface everyone knows China cannot feed itself and if food prices keep rising they could likely have growing unrest.Beijing’s decision to not enhance tariffs of pork and soybeans is very self serving. Particularly because China owns Smithfield foods, the largest producer of U.S. pork. In essence China has lessened tariffs against their own company.

In an interview with TMZ Live on Friday, Buttigieg was asked about the Twitter feud between former Congressman Beto O’Rourke and Texas Republican Representative Briscoe Cain. After O’Rourke told gun owners that “Hell, yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15″ during the Democrat debate on Thursday, Cain dared Beto O’Rourke on Twitter to come and take his AR-15. Buttigieg agreed with O’Rourke that Cain’s comment on Twitter was a “death threat,” and the South Bend mayor admonished Cain for failing to have a more intelligent conversation about gun issues.
