Cory Booker: It's 'fear mongering' to say
armed police will show up
and confiscate weapons

Original Article

Sen. Cory Booker endorsed the proposal set by former Rep. Beto O'Rourke for mandatory confiscation of AR-15s and similar rifles, but said "demagogues" are using fear in describing how it would be carried out. "What’s your view on mandatory gun buybacks or confiscation? And is there a difference?" CNN anchor John Berman asked Booker after Thursday night's Democratic debate. "Well, look. I hate when Democrats use the language that Republicans try to use to scare people away as opposed to the sort of pragmatism and practicality of this," the New Jersey Democrat said on Friday.

Comments:

The Democrats are acting like scalded cats over Beto O’Rourke‘s confiscation comment.

Nobody can ever accuse lie-berals of having even a tiny grasp of logic, reason, or facts!!!!!!!!! If the government is going to confiscate you guns, and you don't voluntarily comply, how exactly do these lie-berals expect to take those guns from you?!?!?!? Actually, he may be right. They probably don't plan to use "armed police" to take our guns. They probably plan to use "armed military personnel". So I guess you can't say that Booker is telling a "lie" per se!!!!!

It is not fear-mongering when we know from past experience that the Feds have used armed police to enforce their will. Remember Elian Gonzalez? His mother risked and then lost her life trying to flee totalitarian Cuba, bringing her son with her. He survived and was being cared for by relatives. Bill Clinton's Justice Department under the direction of Janet Reno sent armed police to remove him from his relatives' home. So . . . to Booker and the other low-rent idiots from the DNC: You all have used armed police to enforce your will plenty of times before now. I don't see how you lot have changed . . . except for the worse.

I think I remember it was "fear mongering" when the Democrats threatened a 55 mph national speed limit. How did that work out for everyone. As long as a liberal is allowed to tell you what to do and think...they will!

Those who are willing to stand and fight whatever threat you might name are called: xxxxphobic. But isn't it those who bow and scrape and yield to these criminals who are the true "Phobics" ? I stand against Islam because it is a Nazi offshoot pretending to be a religion. I stand against the "Climate change" industry because it is just another big government hoax designed to hoodwink good people into surrendering their liberties to enable big government. I stand against gun control because it is the core issue of free people and limited government. I stand against the gender LGBTQ nonsense because at six foot six and three hundred pounds I just don't look good in taffeta.

Spartacus says that his Government "Department of Take Away Your Guns" civilian officers will politely ring your doorbell and nicely ask that you deposit your guns in the handy container that they have. Of course, if you don't comply with their reasonable request, the SWAT team will kick in the door the next day.

Now the Washington Examiner has joined the list of brain-dead buttwipes who know NOTHING about guns. The National Firearms Act was passed in 1934, not 1986. The Firearms Owners Protection Act was passed in 1986; it got rid of a lot of firearms restrictions. Cory Booker is trying to backtrack by talking about "practicality" and "pragmatism" when his views are exactly the same as O'Rourke's - he wants to come and confiscate them all.

Hair loss from chemotherapy happens to be one of the most distressing side effects of modern cancer therapy and while working towards finding a solution, researchers have discovered a new strategy to protect hair follicles. The study from the laboratory of Professor Ralf Paus of the Centre for Dermatology Research described how damage in the hair follicle caused by taxanes, cancer drugs which can cause permanent hair loss, can be prevented. To do this, scientists have exploited the properties of a newer class of drugs called CDK4/6 inhibitors, which blocks cell division and are already medically approved as so-called "targeted" cancer therapies. The Justice Department is offering more insight into how it addressed potential conflicts of interest when former FBI Director Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel for the Trump-Russia investigation two years ago, but officials are continuing to keep secret key parts of their internal ethics analysis. A memo obtained Friday by the pro-transparency organization Property of the People shows that a top Justice Department ethics official concluded that Mueller’s sterling reputation and lengthy history of federal service meant it was unlikely any reasonable person would doubt his independence. The head of Justice’s ethics office, Cynthia Shaw, suggested such doubts were exceedingly unlikely.

After a 2018 Republican wipeout in Orange County, San Juan Capistrano Mayor Brian Maryott is betting that his record as "a quiet leader" can help turn the GOP's congressional fortunes around in Southern California. That was the message Maryott delivered to a group of three dozen Republicans at a hilly country club home on a recent Sunday afternoon, as he prepares to challenge freshman Democratic Rep. Maryott didn't criticize President Donald Trump -- in fact, he and numerous attendees touted Trump's record -- but the mayor's message still drew a clear contrast with the Republican who will be at the top of the ticket in 2020.

On Aug. 28, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. said he dreamed his children should “one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Although many people have attempted to live up to that hope and many have succeeded, in recent years an insidious current rejects Dr. King’s dream and insists that content of character is nothing compared to the color of someone’s skin. At the very moment when the issue of race might at long last have been put to rest, it is now becoming the most important issue of all.

They fail to understand how someone would risk depriving others of their “right” to live anywhere they want, have everything that anyone else has, choose their own gender or genders—and be free from the consequences of their own actions. In this way, they actually are evil, or, at minimum, the consequences of their beliefs and actions, even though they choose not to acknowledge them, are consistently, historically, evil.
