No individual gene alone makes a person gay, lesbian or bisexual; instead, thousands of genes likely influence sexual orientation, a massive new study of the genomes of nearly half a million people suggests.
Across human societies and in both sexes, between 2% and 10% of people report engaging in sex with a member of the same sex, either exclusively or in addition to sex with a member of the opposite sex, the researchers said. The biological factors that contribute to sexual orientation are largely unknown, but many scientists suspect that genetics plays a role, given that same-sex sexual behavior appears to run in families and is seen more often

In other words, "they don't know." This from the crowd that makes the assumption, that all behavior is determined by genes.
There is no evidence of that, either.
Behavior is largely determined by culture and nurture. That is why the left's perversion of teaching is so dangerous. The pedophiles are molding our children into their future victims, while picking off the parti ularly vulnerable as they go.

God said the same thing 4,000 years ago. That's why the death penalty was proscribed. Why would God do that if homosexuality were genetically determined, and therefore beyond one's control?

The best indicator lies not in genetics but whether or not you are a democrat......

Call me a bigot or old fashioned but homosexuality is a sin. Therefore, it is a choice. We all sin but do not do so without making the decision to do it. Some sins, especially the sexually driven ones are harder to control, but they are controllable. We are born with original sin, thank you Adam and Eve, and it is something that defines us as we move through life. Sinning is in our spiritual DNA but it is something that we can and do control. It should not define us, but it does in individuals who give their lives over to besetting sins. We are all flawed, but there is a remedy. His name is Jesus Christ.

The alphabet people (hat tip Dave Chapelle) and their enablers won't pay attention to a study that tells them the truth. They've trained in how to make their case to argue for why they are the way they are, even if it makes no sense. I watched a podcast of Ugandans discussing how the alphabet people are coming out and demanding their rights in the Ugandan culture. The man doing the interview was clearly against sexual deviancy, as is most of the country, including their leader. The leader had recently commented that the alphabet people can't practice or demonstrate their deviancy in public, and the interviewer had a t-person on (female claiming to be transitioning to a male). She had so many rehearsed answers that you could tell she was a trained activist. She claimed to be a human rights activist while the interviewer tried to get her to admit that she is, in fact, an alphabet people activist. She kept saying that everything that you and I know is true about deviancy is not true. Of course, while she demanded that she be heard, she insisted on not listening or responding to a pastor who called in to the show with an opposing view. When asked if she thought she was born an alphabet person, she said she was assigned a female gender but knew at an early age that she was something else. I love how they are claiming to be assigned a gender now. If gender doesn't matter, why do they want to get rid of gender to accommodate their deviancy? Most of the alphabet people hate the b-people. Why is that? It's amazing how crazy they sound, and they expect the rest of us to jump on the crazy wagon with them. Unfortunately, there are many politically correct and craven, corrupted people who do. I have two nephews who a g-people, and I love them with all my heart; they are also my godsons. However, I, along with their mother, tell them the truth about their sexual preference. One, that it is a preference, and two, it is a sinful and sad lifestyle.

from the referenced paper: "To aid in readability throughout the manuscript, in some places we refer to individuals who have ever had sex with someone of the same sex as 'nonheterosexuals,' whereas we refer to individuals who have never had sex with someone of the same sex as“heterosexuals." SO, the paper starts off with problems. Why is it that "one drop" of homosexuality makes one a homosexual? My understanding is that many children/teens have played around with it, then live the rest of their lives as heterosexual. They went looking so very hard to find the gay gene. The bottom line is that they didn't find it.

Homos want it both ways... that there IS a homo-gene and that homo-ism is learned behavior.
If it is inherited, which is what many of them say, then they could do nothing to alter their fate, stated as, "I was born a .." and "At age x I knew I was a .."
But then they will go on to say homo-ism is learned behavior because they like to bring new people into their "clubhouse" of degenerate immorality. They want full access to the public school system to "educate" our young to their "alternative lifestyle" to start them on the slippery slope of debauchery with old 'queens.'
The Bible knows exactly what these people are, and it's not wholesome, normal, or a good choice... and yes, it IS a choice.

If genetics determined being gay, then when a genetic test was developed for this, guess what happens when expectant parents go to the doctor for genetic testing? Yes, you guessed it an abortion.

Well, duh. Virtually everything about humans (being and behavior) is genetically influenced. We're like houses where (astoundingly) the blueprint is actually planted, and grows into a house.
And our infancy/early childhood environment, plus our habitual familial and cultural experiences, more-or-less paint and modify that house (within limits).
And then you've got your choices. Is this going to be a homey cottage or a whorehouse, an ecclesiola (domestic church) or a dump?
Your choice, within certain genetic limits.
And as for sex? Good for husband and wife, lifelong foundation, build a family in the classic manner. Nothing says anybody else has to "do it."
