To begin solving the problem of former FBI director James Comey, who's been blasted by the Department of Justice in its Inspector General report, start by never again hiring people who value themselves so loftily over the people they are charged with representing. In other words, never hire someone like him, who absolutely believed that he was smarter than, better than, and more important than, the people whose laws his agency was tasked with enforcing. Enforcing the law was never on Comey's agenda, not at all. He was all about the power he had amassed as director of the FBI. What was in his head?

Right on! Comey is a poster boy of the exact type of person who should never be entrusted with even the tiniest bit of power.

The truth is.... people that think they are better than you, smarter than you are the very people that rise to the top. They are the very people that have the ambition to actually climb the ladder. They are the very people that make sure that upper management is aware of them.
Look around corporate America. The smooth talking worms are always on the fast track. Its the same in politics.

As long as CNN & MSNBC supports Comey he will continue his self serving campaign. Comey loves Comey.

The formula for this is a steel and concrete room that is exactly 8' x 12' x 6' (high) that locks from the outside. Twenty years without a chance for parole.

#2 hit the nail on the head beautifully. Comey can use the corporate/government doublespeak without missing a syllable, and can rationalize and justify pretty much anything he cant cover up. He can lie so smoothly because truth isn't even in his vocabulary. He is the ultimate corporate animal and should never be believed even if he says "good morning". I've met many like him and they make my skin crawl. One minute they are your best pal, and literally the same day they might put a knife into your back with no remorse at all.
He belongs at the end of a rope.

Evidently the solution to a problem like Comey is a severe tongue lashing from the IG. Nothing more. He continues on with business as usual. Confident in his innocence, arrogant in his self-congratulatory, and guilty as sin but free as a bird.

It's no wonder he let Hillary go free; he was just as crooked as she. They both should be put in solitary confinement in jail for at least 10 years. Someone should ask him what he would have done to someone else who had done what Hillary or he had done. Pres. Trump's biggest mistake was to keep him on as head of the FBI.

The Chicoms take you behind the courthouse. Put a bullet in your neck. And then charge your family for it if they want the body back. That a good start!

Maybe Kimmie in NORK is hiring. With Kimmie as his boss, Comey's smugness would disappear immediately when he comes to the realization that Kimmie resolves any personnel issues with his personal flame thrower.

I'd love to have a few beers with #2 and #7. I bet we could share a few stories! perhaps Scott Adams should try a government version of Dilbert.
I have seen some very talented people ruined by the golden boy/girl syndrome where they are shielded from the learning that comes from accountability. Comey is dripping in his own goo of pompas superiority.

"Comey and his colluders in crime need to go to prison. That is how you solve the problem of culprits like Comey."
OK, Agreed. Now?
I troubles me very deeply that the plotting across BO's administration seems to collect no criminal charges. The explanations that the people that carried it out are "bad" people and that we need "good" people instead is poor comfort. Many people are "good" only because they know what will happen if they are "bad". Some small number of people obey speed laws because they believe in obeying the law. Many more obey the limits because they know that an officer could hand them a BIG ticket, their insurance rates would go up, and they might lose their driving license. For important things, LAW is needed. How about, at a minimum, firing, a large fine, loss of pension, banning from government service for life, and loss of any privileges such as security clearances? Criminal charges with jail time would be a good thing as well.
SOMETHING needs to be done so that Comey, Strzok, and their ilk have the smirk wiped off their faces, are embarrassed to to be interviewed or write books, and that no one will want them hired on media programs. They need to be made ASHAMED of what they have done and what the Country has suffered through because of them.

I seriously hope that there are other shoes to drop re: Comey and others------but especially Comey, who was the ringleader, even with getting his orders from above. But I doubt it. Too disappointed too often. We really DO have a two tiered just system in this country, and if Barr and company don't do some indictments, and not just the fall guys like McCabe et al., there will be a total disillusionment. Why do the James Comey's, the Bill and Hillary Clintons, the TED KENNEDYS, almost literally (and in the latter literally) get away with murder, yet Flynn is ruined and Stone faces life in prison for, in real terms, very minor almost Scooter Libby offenses--on of the reasons I lost all respect for geo. Bush. I thought Barr would be the answer, a man above it all and actually honest, but.............

20-30 years in prison would work for me, and serve as a deterrent for future "Comeys".
