A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing across from a D.C. hospital Tuesday night. D.C. police found Margery Magill, 27, of Northwest D.C., with multiple stab wounds in the 400 block of Irving Street around 8:45 p.m. After going through video surveillance and canvassing the area, police arrested 24-year-old Eliyas Aregahegne, of Northwest D.C., inside a residence in the 500 block of Columbia Road. Police said that Magill, who was working as a dog walker, was walking dogs across MedStar Washington Hospital Center when the suspect approached her and stabbed her multiple times.

Comments:

Initial reports are that it's a so-called random attack on a white woman by a black man, the latter said to also be mentally ill. Acting out on coded instructions from the Democrat Party, which does little but foment strife and blame all of society's ills on white people and their imaginary privilege?

I am so cynical right now regarding anything DC that I could very easily believe this was not a random attack. Just saying. After all, they have been trying to convince us for how many years now about Seth Rich just being a robbery on the street.

What a lovely accomplished young woman whose whole life was ahead of her. Probably was doing the dog walking for some additional pocket change to add to her intern's salary. What a loss. And I understand the accused had been previously charged with a crime. Our court system stinks along with everything else in the justice system.

No attempt to rob. And is he another illegal alien violent criminal? Previously arrested but not deported? DC is a very dangerous city, and nobody should be walking around after dark, and, frankly it is iffy during daytime in many areas. I stay out of DC as much as possible these days. Still go to the Smithsonian museums occasionally.

There is no such thing as a single “gay gene” researchers have said, but genetics–along with environmental factors–can influence a person’s sexual preferences. The largest ever study of its kind examined data and DNA information of about 500,000 people and found there were thousands of genetic variants linked to same-sex sexual behaviour, most of the them having a minor impact. The researchers said non-genetic factors, including upbringing, personality, and nurture, had far more influence on a person’s choice of sexual partner. The researchers, writing in Science, suggested genetics may account for as much as one-third of the various factors

In fact, perpetuating the belief that sexual orientation is innate has been crucial to the gay rights movement. According to the most recent Gallup Poll on the subject, 88 percent of people who believe homosexuals are “born that way” support the legality of same-sex marriage, while only 39 percent of those who believe homosexuality is the result of environmental factors support the legality of same-sex marriage. Hurricane Dorian, a Category 4 with 140 mph winds as of early Saturday, is not expected to make landfall in Florida and instead will track up the coastline, possibly slamming into the Carolinas late Wednesday. Earlier projections had it hitting Florida head on as early as Monday. Areas all along the coast still are bracing for storm surge, heavy rain and dangerous, gusty winds. Other forecasts have the storm not making landfall at all in the U.S. A high-pressure system in the Atlantic is helping push the storm north. If Dorian remains farther off shore, parts of Florida may see only up to 10 inches of rain, significantly lower than earlier forecasts.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell said Thursday that she wished for Hurricane Dorian to make a "direct hit" on President Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. The strengthening storm churned over the warm, open waters of the Atlantic on Thursday, upgrading to Category 2 strength late in the day, with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph, the National Hurricane Center reported. Forecasts showed Dorian tracking toward Florida's east coast — prompting Trump to warn Dorian "will be BIG!" Forecasters believe the storm will strengthen into a Category 3 hurricane by Friday, and stay well east of the southern and central Bahamas before making a turn toward Florida by Sunday afternoon.
