CHICAGO — Joe Walsh, the flame-throwing conservative radio show host and former Illinois congressman, is moving toward challenging President Donald Trump in a Republican primary, calling the president an “unfit divider in chief” and claiming the party is craving an alternative. Walsh told POLITICO on Wednesday he is confident he could secure the resources and support to mount a challenge against the president, and that if he ran, he would announce in short order.(Snip) “I’ve been really surprised by the amount of anxiousness from people across the spectrum who want this president to have a challenge, because there’s just a real concern that he’s absolutely unfit.”

We recognize his name here in Illinois because he was a surprise winner of a Congressional seat for one 2-year term. He wasn't able to hold onto it, especially after negative publicity about how he owed his ex-wife over $100,000 in back child-support payments. His radio show is funded by a rich patron. I don't think many people listen to it. I switch the channel when he comes on. He hates Trump for some unknown reason, since he claims to be a conservative Republican. I don't think Trump will be losing much sleep over this "challenge."

Didn't he used to be a mediocre rock singer? We recently had eight years of an absolutely unfit president and those who saw it did not dare say it, at least not outside of flyover country, because he was, you know, exempt and protected. Feel free to challenge Trump and get trounced, Joe, we could use the entertainment and you could use a good ego trimming.

By mistake I listened to his program for a few minutes. Used to be Mark Levin's spot. I thought I had reached someone from outer space. The man cannot speak clearly to begin with in his midwestern or whatever accent, but that alone was grating. The nonsense he proceeded with came from someone truly unhinged, he will do well with the left main stream media. His grammar, paucity of words, the man sounds as if he never finished High School. He was a one termer congress critter, and how he got this time slot on a radio show is beyond me. People will laugh their heads of if and when he challenges the President!

The flow of fentanyl: In the mail, over

NEW YORK — Chinese drug traffickers had some advice for American buyers of fentanyl: Let us ship it to you by regular mail. It might be slower than FedEx or UPS, but the opioid is much more likely to reach its destination through the U.S. Postal Service. These cyber drug dealers wrote their U.S.-based customers — in emails later uncovered by federal investigators — that private delivery companies electronically tracked packages, allowing the easy identification of mail from suspect addresses and creating a bright trail connecting sellers and buyers of illegal fentanyl. The Postal Service for years did not institute similar safeguards

A Breitbart News report ripping the New York Times -- always a fun read -- revealed the true cost to American workers for allowing illegal aliens to work here. $493.9 billion annually, according to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Illegal aliens lower wages by that amount. It is a 5.2% payroll reduction, a tax if you will on workers. And unlike federal income taxes that hit the 1% hardest, this payroll tax hits lower wage workers the hardest. Released on September 21, 2016, the report said: Immigration does make the U.S. economy larger by adding workers and population. But a larger economy is not necessarily a benefit to natives.

Hayley Peterson is a senior correspondent for Business Insider. Following the shooting in a Walmart in El Paso, she decided to show readers just how easy it is to buy a gun at Walmart. It isn't. I believe this disappointed her. Not every Walmart carries firearms. Walmart does not advertise which of its stores do. And when she found one, she was told to come back on Thursday because that was the next time a federally licensed dealer was scheduled to work. Then when she found a Walmart with firearms and a qualified seller, she discovered she could not pass the background check, which would take three days.
