We have long ago become inured to Democratic politicization of mass shootings and the accompanying tirades against President Trump suggesting he is somehow responsible for these atrocities. Consequently, the left’s exploitation of the recent massacres in the cause of gun control was all-too-predictable. This time, however, they added a new ruse to their rhetorical repertoire. After El Paso and Dayton Democrats failed to dissuade Trump from visiting the victims, an omission they would have inevitably denounced as callous, the left went berserk when he and the First Lady posed for a photo with an infant survivor of the El Paso shooting and two relatives.
The phony outrage erupted

Very nice article but bittersweet. What the liberals don't understand is that Trump is not racist. He just wants the illegals to get in line behind the people who already have been waiting. President Trump also understands why people want to come here. He loves this country and wants to serve it to the best of his abilities from God. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

I've run out of adjectives to describe my disgust and contempt of these sub-humans on the left. So many people have suffered unimaginable losses and grief, but those hogies on the left keep digging that knife in deeper to try to get at POTUS. If I could make one wish, it would be that our leaders finally take off the blindfolds and see we are in a war and start acting accordingly. Otherwise, cute little baby in the photo is going to be doxxed and harassed all for the crime of surviving and posing with our POTUS.

The dems are desperate. The El Paso and Dayton shootings, all shootings actually, are THEIR issue. They are supposed to win points when shootings happen. Along with their rhetoric about guns, the attention grabbing headline, they weave in their talking points about how horrible Trump is; white supremacist, racist, uncaring evil man.
Yet, Trump, being an inherently a good person, a VERY smart man, and having amazing instincts manages to reset the tone and leaves the dems facedown in the dust, having stumbled over their own lies.
Further, there is an inoculation process going on here that helps Trump and harms the dems/Left. This tragedy bring people into focus. They remember it and things associated with it. For anyone leaning toward Trump or even neutral about him, they are going to look at the over-the-top reaction from the attention seeking dems and think about at least some of it, "Wait a minute, that's not true.". For the dems, that is an EXTREMELY dangerous thought for the public to have; that the dems/Left/media/Never Trumpers/Deep State ARE lying. From this point on, those people are going to be doubtful about things dems say or the see in media. They are inoculated against the lies. Further, the dems, unable to help themselves, provide booster shots every time something bad happens and it becomes more and more obvious that they are lying. The election is 15 months away and the dems are busy deepening the hole they are already in. Plus, suspecting the dems are lying about the bad, people are going to be open to the idea that Trump is actually doing a lot of good and find out that it is true.
The most dangerous thing to dems is a thinking and questioning voter because the truth is completely against the dems. The turmoil in the dem party is causing a LOT of voters to question what that party is all about, whether it is worth supporting, and whether there may be some better answers with Trump and Republicans.

FTA "This photo undermines two carefully cultivated leftist myths: that Hispanics by definition disapprove of Trump and that he is a Mexican-hating racist. This was too much for the Democrats and their media allies who, with characteristic hypocrisy, attacked Trump for politicizing the tragedies...But as NPR reported, Tito Anchondo doesn’t see it that way and suggests that his brother would also have rejected the claim: “My brother was very supportive of Trump.” As to Democratic claims that Trump’s rhetoric has incited mass shootings he said, “I think people are misconstruing President Trump’s ideas.” " Exactly why the left is upset! What fools!
President Trump is celebrating that the baby survived unlike the complaining leftists who celebrate abortion when an unborn child is murdered! Big, big difference!!! Godspeed President Trump!

Gillibrand is really too stupid to even be in congress, and that's saying a lot. As a recipient of 'white' privilege, she can't accuse others of using it for gain. And this constant refrain about 'dog whistles' is ridiculous, because I always understood that humans can't hear dog whistles. Only liberals can hear dog whistles?

Have to disagree with #2. Liberals understand perfectly well that Trump is not racist nor are the bulk of his supporters. Falsely condemning them as such to shame independents into ignoring their own extremism is the only option left to them. That why the strategy. Racist if you go. Callous and uncaring if you don't.

I keep hearing that Wal Mart is where you find President Trump's supporters. I wish some journalist would look into that and publish some pictures. The Wal Marts I have visited are full of people of color. Probably ten to one compared to us deplorables.
Therefore, I predict that President Trump will win re-election in a landslide.

Couldn't read this without tears. What a poignant story. I had not even realized there was a man who had sacrificed his life to save his baby in that shooting.

Gillibrand's rant is nothing but a word salad made up of terms that the leftists have been using on Donald Trump and his supporters for a couple of years. True to her profession as a mediocre actress, she has memorized the words nicely and put them together.

Most importantly the Anchondo family are US citizen Hispanics who are qualified to, and are sure to actually vote in the 2020 election. They are reflective of most US citizen Hispanics who live in the real world, and who do not go along with the leftist and liberal Democrat “open borders” political agenda, that causes US workers to have to compete for jobs with illegal aliens, and that encourages employers, who know that illegal aliens using bogus ID to get US jobs are greatly exploitable labor, as those illegal aliens, most of them poor and generally uneducated, have no recourse but to work cheaply if they want a US job, thus allowing employers in those industries where illegal aliens with bogus ID can be hired, to lower wages, and keep wages low, for all workers similarly employed. Chances are because of that, a lot of US citizen Hispanics support President Trump’s agenda to effectively and fairly enforce the immigration laws, a circumstance that will result in a lot of those US citizen Hispanics voting for Trump in the 2020 election. On top of that, when you factor in the Trump economy and the fact there are more available jobs out there across the US economy then there are US citizen Hispanics looking for work, and you can see why US citizen Hispanics are benefiting economically from Trump being US President.

Not that it really matters, but having spent quite some time around the infants of strangers, I expect the Thumbs Up gesture was that the baby and the photographer AND the grown ups had a moment in time when all was calm, all was bright and he snapped the shot. President Trump is in the moment, no matter whichever moment he is in.
