Guatemala's president-elect wants
to rewrite migration deal with US

The winner of Guatemala's presidential election, Alejandro Giammattei, said he hoped he could make changes to a controversial migration deal the Central American country signed with the Trump administration last month. Speaking to Reuters shortly before being declared victor, the conservative Mr Giammattei said he wanted to see what could be done to improve the deal that outgoing president Jimmy Morales agreed to stem US-bound migration from Central America. Mr Giammattei will not take office until January, by which time Guatemala may be under severe pressure from the deal that effectively turns the country into a buffer zone, by forcing migrants to seek refuge there rather than in the United States.

Comments:

The new "conservative" president-elect doesn't like the deal and wants to basically scrap it. The same economic screws turned on Jimmy Morales will be turned on him. All ignore the UN charter that requires what President Trump had to "force" them to do. And, the Guatemalan people don't want these people in their country (without borders, it seems). HA! Bueller?

It's obvious that no country wants the invaders, yet the demonrats yearn for them. Which other criminals (other than their precious jihadis) can possibly aid the demonrat party more in their cause to kill off U.S. citizens?

Nigel Farage has laid into Prince Charles again over climate change just 24 hours after using an incendiary speech on his Australian tour to blast the heir to the throne, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Brexit Party leader has doubled down and mocked the Prince of Wales, who he calls 'Charlie boy', for telling a 2008 EU summit that the North Polar ice cap could disappear completely by 2015. Mr Farage told Sky News Australia on Sunday: 'He [Prince Charles] came to the European Parliament ten years ago to tell us within seven years the polar ice cap would disappear completely. I am not an expert on all of government, but I do know something about the United States Senate. As the former majority leader, I know how tough it is to get anything through the chamber, (Snip) The Senate today, after years of abusing an arcane procedural rule known as the filibuster, has become an unworkable legislative graveyard. Not part of the framers’ original vision, the modern filibuster was created in 1917. The recent use of the filibuster — an attempt by a minority of lawmakers to delay or block a vote on a bill or confirmation — has exploited this rule,

As the US Navy scrambles to adopt corrective measures following a string of warship collisions earlier this year, for now they are settling for such high-tech solutions as switching to basic compass and pencil navigation, giving sailors more time to sleep and actually turning on electronic systems that have been in place for years already. (Snip) What that means is that thanks to McCain's cool stealth features, such as radio-absorptive paint and deflective surfaces, the 150-meter long Arleigh-Burke destroyer likely appeared only as a misleadingly small blip on MPA's radar.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned in a Twitter post on Monday night that the duration of UN sanctions on Iran is about to end. "The clock is ticking. Time remaining before the UN arms embargo on Iran expires and Qasem Soleimani’s travel ban ends," Pompeo tweeted, sharing a clock that counts down the time until the UN sanctions expire. The clock showed that a little over a year and 3 months remain. Pompeo also urged the "our allies and partners to increase the pressure on the Iranian regime until it stops its destabilizing behavior." (Tweet)

The FBI formally documented the anti-Trump bias of British ex-spy Christopher Steele shortly after the November 2016 presidential election -- yet despite the red flags, continued to use his unverified dossier in multiple Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant application renewals, records obtained by Fox News show. The partially redacted documents, first obtained by Judicial Watch, also revealed that top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr maintained contact with Steele for at least six months after Steele was fired by the FBI for unauthorized media contacts in November 2016. The records further confirmed that Ohr knew of Steele's anti-Trump bias before the 2016 election.

Here are a few things I know firsthand about being in jail. First and foremost, you have virtually no control over your life and surroundings. You can’t get so much as an aspirin without authorization. In most jails, you can’t wear a belt, or shoelaces, or keep a razor in your cell. You have no privacy, no sense of dignity, and no rights. And in a well-run jail, high-profile prisoners have virtually no chance of killing themselves. So the alleged suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, the 66-year-old financier with powerful American and foreign friends who was about to stand trial for allegedly sexually abusing dozens of girls, many of them underage,
